Actually the smear test tests for the presence of cervical dysplasia, which are abnormal cells. This is commonly caused by HPV but there are other causes.

I have OCD and health anxiety and I have never got a smear as its one of my phobias
I straightened the shit out of my hair when I was in Thailand for the most part, but it was also at the length where it went really curly when I let it air dry after a shower (then turned into a frizzy haystack in the night). My hair is too long to get the defined curls atm as I have really thick hair and it’s too heavy to bounce. I’m very overdue a haircut 😂
oh wowwww, everyday haha 😂 i might get my hair cut when i'm out here in asia, who knows, but a good trim is sometimes the best thing ever 😉

How do you make sure you know what you want when you are inexperienced in the dating sphere? I want to be as frank as possible with the guys I talk to or meet but I don't even now what I want since it's such a new and confusing part of my life...
hey sorry I know you’re asking holly but I can’t just help myself to not respond. It’s okay to be inexperienced and not know what you want. That’s why it’s important to test the waters on things you may or may not be sure about. The good thing about the internet is you’re kinda free to indulge in absolutely everything before you actually act on it. You have some really good websites like Reddit/Quora, where you can read questions people have asked before or written anecdotes about their first times and stuff like that. Hopefully when you do begin your process of getting experience, the person with whom you’re talking to, should probably be told that you’re inexperienced and want to take it slow or whatever it may be.. and also, sometimes being inexperienced may scare some people off anyways so it’s kind of a win-win too.
Other than that, I know this can sound sad but you have no hindsight when it comes to dating. You may be lied to or led on or not listened to, but when you experience these things it helps you realise “oh, maybe I didn’t like that, how I thought I might have” or “yes, I definitely was right about not liking that” but it doesn’t mean you’ve ruined that experience forever!!! because you may not enjoy XYZ with one person but may absolutely love it with someone else!!!
also, don’t be afraid to say what you want either!!! the right person will oblige, and make effort. And also, you can say No, always. :-)

@@juwuoo It hypothalamic ammenhorea - basically when you don’t eat enough/are underweight your body stops having menstrual cycles to preserve energy. Holly has talked about this really well in some previous videos. But basically some form of contraception can make you “bleed” even though you aren’t hormonally healthy - that’s why I was asking cos holly has been open about losing her period before!
It depends on the contraception. I’m on the progesterone only pill and don’t have periods for the most part (occasional spotting if I missed a couple). For me, no periods are a god send as mine are really heavy. But no periods on contraception is completely normal, but on the other hand other contraceptions regulate periods so if Holly is on one of those, she’d know if she loses her periods that’s not linked to her contraception

Holly your message is very important about smear tests from a cancer prevention perspective however, they can be extremely challenging and sometimes impossible for survivors of sexual assault/abuse. Many women don’t attend at all for this reason. There are centres in London and Glasgow who provide specialised care. Everyone trained in taking smear tests should have training in relation to sexual assault survivors and how their needs differ, unfortunately this is poorly understood within the NHS a lot more needs to be done.

@06:22 I remember listening to a podcast which talked about "body count" and long term relationships. I believe the podcaster was Chris Williamson (might be wrong!).
During it, they mentioned a study which looked at the effects of "body count" and the impact on dating/"red flags". In short, people prefer a potential long term partner who have been with ~2-3 sexual partners before. A "virgin" is on the same preference level as someone with a "body count" of 4. After that, preference declines in an exponential decay.
The study also looked at "rate", i.e. number of sexual partners in what duration of years. The suitability of a potential long term partner with high body count, but the majority was 5 + years ago; was preferred to a potential long term partner with high body count (where the majority was in the past year). I haven't read the study, so take with a pinch of salt!
With regard to the "double standard", I don't think it is. Especially if you look at it at an evolutionary point of view. Women can be 100% certain that a child is theirs. Men, not so much. So a Woman who has a lower body count (and rate) is less likely to be sleeping with other Men, meaning a higher certainty for a Man that a child is his. (Modern sociality is slightly built on this trust, there is a reason why paternity tests are illegal in France!)
Coupled to this, as Men can't be certain that a child is his; it makes sense to spread his seed as far as possible. For Women, it is more geared to ensuring a child (and themselves) survive the first few years. It makes sense to be more selective on who you reproduce with. A long term (male) partner with a high body count can mean one of two things: 1) He is desirable (good genes) and can provide for the Woman and Child; 2) He is not reliable when it comes to support.
Basically, it boils down (for both sexes); don't sleep around. Serial monoamory seems to be the preferred standard.

Sexual entertainment? Im suprised holly is accepting sponsorships from something like this? Porn is destructive in more ways than one. Not only does it increase aggression, but it decreases overall sexual satisfaction, is addictive and causes sexual dysfunctions in both men and women. Not only this but consuming porn or taking sponsorships such as this does nothing but fuel the human sex trafficking that is the back bone of the porn industry. Theres literally no such thing as a "safe space" when it comes to porn. Im honestly shocked holly is promoting something like this, as someone who expresses an interest in biology and psychology surely you should know the well known damage porn causes? Just because people consume it doesnt mean they should and it has got absolutely nothing to do with a healthy sex life. In fact the very opposite is the result of porn. But he is typical selfish male and at least it will prevent pregnancy when your periods never return. If you compare her training cycles then to now the are very different.Lets not forget her poor fueling choices in Australia that hospitalised her! Yes she has ran before but not 70+ miles per week from very low base, double days,no clear deviation in HR training. It's telling she is avoiding the shed loads of comments from experienced talented runners on her Strava,which are only concerns.All comment related to her running on here and insta are also ignored why wouldn't you respond if you know what your doing is healthy. Maybe do a bit of research on principles of training and even REDs risk, Holly is seriously harming herself and disgusting it as 'marathon training'.

@@sola_a have you seen some of the commenters or know there endurance sport background.We are talking experienced ironman athletes and sub3 marathoners. Many have 10+ years running experience, work in the industry, are qualified and trained by England Athletics (strict governing body). There is great research to highlight impact of REDs in sport so many runners are super aware. Holly already has shared so much Pro Aa content and is now making it much worse. She could come out and say this specific plan is tailored to her needs, experience and goals and she has works closely with an educated coach.But it is clearly not,she is running same as an adult man (Angelo) while eating less and not considering female needs. Maybe search Bobby Clay as a starting point.REDs is rife and Holy is going backwards on hard work of experienced athletes raising awareness. Even Jake Smith has it now.
