“I know he’s not perfect, and I know he cuts corners, but you’re the one who made him this way. He idolises you, he accepts you, he takes care of you, and all he ever wanted was your love and support and all you’ve ever done is judge him. You never believed in him, you never wanted him to succeed. And you know what, I feel sorry for him, and I feel sorry for you”
This breaks my heart, so tragic
Me too bro
@Kathrina Jimmy didn't kill Chuck, not even figuratively. It was Chuck who pushed everyone away and lost his mind because of it.
What makes it so tragic is that Kim is right on the money but SO IS CHUCK. And she knows. It’s why she punches Jimmy because he made her an accessory after the fact.
@@TD0150 you spoiled it for me dude
"I can't stand that my own brother stabbed me in the back" - Chuck
Uhhhh, seriously dude? You've been stabbing him(Jimmy) in the back since he became a lawyer
and probably before that as well. It all comes down to an older brother being jelly about the younger one "cause parents probably love him more then me"
You guys are letting your love for Jimmy cloud your judgment, You're making the same mistake every body watching breaking bad made by rooting for walter even though he was doing terrible things, Jimmy is a criminal he is not a good guy, He took advantage of his brother illness and sabotaged his work, when chuck wanted to get the clients he did it the legal way using his legal skills and knowledge, but when Jimmy wanted to get them back to kim he committed a felony and betrayed his brother and yet somehow you think he is the good guy...
@@fathialjack2009 You are exactly correct. Both these shows are tricking you into loving an evil person. And so many viewers fall right into it. Even I love these characters
@@fathialjack2009 Jimmy did straighten out though, in the flashbacks we seem him working in HHM while he puts himself through law school. If Chuck would have been supportive of him then Jimmy would have never gone back to his old ways but instead he consistently tried to find small ways to sabotage his brother.
C23MG Chuck worked hard to build a law firm that he is very proud of and he wasn't gonna risk his firm reputation by hiring someone like Jimmy because he knew slipping Jimmy could emerge in any moment, and he was proven correct when Jimmy was hired by a big firm like davis and main...Besides Jimmy is a grown up man he is the one to be blamed for his criminal activities not his brother.
So glad you’re both really loving the show. I think a lot of the “BCS is boring” comments are from people who compare it to Breaking Bad and who prefer more action packed shows to slow burn character driven ones. I’ve rewatched BCS a few times now and I’ve began to appreciate it more each viewing 👍🏻
Same here. First time i watched it i was expected more action but i liked the show very much. The second time 8 watched i fucking loved it, it became much better. I noticed things that i didnt before. Everything in this show matters
stakes might be smaller but they feel more relatable, they hit closer to home. Thats why I like BCS so much. You still get nice action scenes with Mike tho.
The people that claimed it was boring probably have low attention spans. It's just as good as BB in my opinion, just in different ways.
@@Pir-o and Nacho too.
Even though we know what happens in Breaking Bad, I love how well this prequel still puts characters in intense situations even though we know they made it to Breaking Bad's story. Genius show.
This is definitely one of the most intense episodes of the series. I remember being on the edge of my seat the whole time. The final scenes at the copy shop are amazing, but my favourite scene of this episode is definitely Jimmy-Chuck-Kim showdown. It's so amazing because Chuck is 100% right about what Jimmy did and yet at the same time I also think that it's telling how he doesn't even consider the possibility of him simply making a mistake and points to Jimmy first.
It's never simple with this show. It's never "this guy's right, this guy's wrong". There's always layers upon layers with all characters and situations.
In my opinion, it's more about the fact that Chuck can't let it go. HHM clearly doesn't need Mesa Verde anywhere near as much as Kim does, plus Chuck doesn't seem to remember the fact that he deliberately sabotaged Jimmy's chances of getting into HHM not that long ago. Not much of a moral high ground to stand from.
My favorite episode of Season 2. Mike absolutely rules once more. If you didn't notice in the previous episode, when Mike trails Tio to that warehouse, he hears the whirring sound of a drill and smirks as he instantly figures out where they are hiding the drugs and the money. And in this one, he picks the spot for the ambush perfectly. The spike is pulled across the road so anyone would think that the person pulling is on the opposite side of the road. There's a dilapidated billboard that is a perfect blindspot for the driver too. So naturally, when Ximenez steps out, he turns around to look back to see who was hiding behind the billboard or behind the car parked slightly ahead of the billboard. But Mike is way smarter: instead of standing and pulling the spike line right across, he pivots it 90 degrees with transparent wire and hides behind the tree that is well ahead where the truck is likely not going to reach after its tyres burst and Ximenez wouldn't suspect anyone is hiding, giving Mike a nice way to subdue him easily as he approaches Ximenez from behind. Top-notch overall!
I'm impressed with your breakdown of that whole scene lol
Jesus i never caught on to any of that😂😂😂 i always thought to myself "How the fuck did he GET INFRONT of the truck" and i always thought it was weird how he just knew about the tires but now i knew how he know😂 thanks lmao
Better call Saul drama builds up builds up builds up and then pays off solidly
Unlike some other popular drama series that recently happened to win an Emmy for "Outstanding Drama Series"

🤕🤯🤯 This show is a masterpiece. All the characters are complex the writing is great and the acting superb. BRAVO!! 👏👏👏👏
What else would you expect from our god Vince Gilligan?
And some people said Better Call Saul wouldn't be a good show to react to, lol.
Those people are duuuumb
I mean these to worry about every single thing, I kind of enjoyed it in the beginning, but now it's just a little annoying. Ehh ig the dude doesn't as much
@@vintageprince3928 what the fuck kind of sentence is that?
@@vintageprince3928I'm having a stroke trying to understand this comment, someone help 😂
You know it's a Nikki and Steven reaction when you keep hearing "No half measures" and "CRIMINAL laywer"
@@GodofMMA23 well it is true...
And Nikki saying that she’s terrified lol
Now you're seeing why we all recommended Better Call Saul haha. It does have a slower pace, but it's methodical and everything is there for a reason (like Breaking Bad). And it also gets better with every season.
We all know the real reason why Mike disabled that truck… the driver didn’t have enough stickers.
Kim is my favorite character of the BrBa universe, hands down. She is just SO strong a person.
Two amazing camera shots at the end of this episode: 1) Chuck faints and hits his head on the side of a desk. 2) The very next shot, Jimmy, watching from across the street, sees what happens and instinctively steps back into the shadows. Oh, man, I could talk about the symbolism of that shot for hours.
I love the wide shots in this damn show. They're so good
I love the parallels between Mike and Jimmy's story. Both did something incredibly ballsy (robbing the truck/tampering with the Mesa Verde files) and both had it blow up in their face in a very meaningful way. Chuck and Nacho are both very smart to figure everything out.
shouldn’t have cut out the part when kim punches saul in the car. such a great scene, because there’s that long pause and you don’t know what reaction to expect from her. the tension is so freakin thick...
Obvious Beatles reference isn’t obvious apparently
Where
Aaron Estevez when they are crossing the crosswalk to get to the school where they are filming. I try to send you a time stamp but I’m on mobile so it may not work
@@rundownthriftstore Yeah, I got that too.
Opening dialogue of yours was honestly pretty inspiring. I'm starting my own business at 21 years old, and it's pretty fucking terrifying at times, and it was particularly hard today. Just wanted to say that the encouragement means a lot. :)
Currently at an airport and this just saved my boredom! Love it
I love how while Chuck is very clearly working within the confines of the law and Jimmy is very clearly working outside of them, they both know how to rationalize doing the unethical thing while still cheering for them whenever they do the right thing. The writers are crazy good.
Steven needs a t-shirt that says “That was IN-TENSE!!!”
Better Call Saul: "A single transpositional error cost my client time and money and permanently damaged my reputation."
Breaking Bad: "A transpositional error, nothing a little white out can't fix."
when?
@@MagnusvonYoshi Nice Call Back! Great Find ! +1 Like
21:03 "Have I ever told you, the detention of insanity?"
I find it very interesting that in breaking bad before the train heist, mike says, "there are two types of robberies, those that get a way with it, and those that leave witnesses" I find that very interesting as it shows his character development over time as he spared this truck drivers life
Gotta love Micheal Mckeans acting ... everyone's acting TBH
It’s interesting how a show that a show that is lsn’t always action packed can still keep you on the edge of your seat. Since I love in Albuquerque I believe not too long ago I saw them filming the final season if I am correct. ABQ is really starting to become like another Los Angeles.
This is one of the first episodes where I noticed, and you see it more after this episode, Mike rents so many cars 😂. Mike King-rent-a-car
I don't know if you'll see this comment after all this time but if you like one shots there's also an episode of Mr Robot that's a one shot (with hidden cuts obviously) but this shit is breathtaking. Mr Robot I highly recommend to you guys!
I bet Steven now appreciates the electromagnetic hypersensitivity as an aspect of Chuck's character.
So many television shows try to achieve the level of intensity that BB and BCS have achieved and very few even come close. I mean this with every fiber of my entertainment-seeking soul when I say to these people. This is how a show is done. Learn it. Live it. Love it. Make us care about the characters and your audience will be captivated. Be consistent with details and stay true to the story you started with. Do not change the past to suit the present. Make the present the logical step forward from the established past. That is how great television is made.
Peace
Jimmy finally embraced the word of that man who came to their shop when he was a kid. He finally realized: "There are two types of ppl in the world, Sheeps and Wolves."
I’m SO GLAD you made it this far! This episode is huge, and the excitement lasts all through the next season
I told you both before watching this series that you would absolutely love it! It's like watching a masterpiece unfold! 😎
I liked the whole starting your own thing discussion. I did that 14 years ago and I could really relate to it. Great video and therapy from fellow fans.👍
This show is not boring at all it is just a different place than bb.I love it.Been waiting almost 2 years for s5.Thinking its tied in to el camino somehow.
michelle ortega it cant be tied to El Camino unfortunately, BCS is a prequel and El Camino takes place after Breaking Bad
@@BIGxBOSSxx1 You're forgetting about the Gene storyline.
@Drake Lang well it seems longer..lol
This season has some really great cliffhangers that come out of nowhere
Yaaaaaay I’ve been waiting for this!! ♥️ the reactions guys!
This show makes me panic sweat like no other, every episode is like going to a job interview or being interrogated by police
Speaking of one-shots, have you guys watched _Birdman,_ with Michael Keaton?
Best part of my Monday is your BCS videos :)
Forgot it was Better Call Saul Monday. Something good does happen on Monday afterall
Exactly how i feel lol
27:42 *Episode title: "Nailed"*
You should check out the making of for that one shot in the last episode. There was so much CGI involved that I didn’t notice the first time I watched it. It’s pretty amazing.
Even though I believe it was cancelled, I would highly recommend Mr. Robot. One of their episodes has probably the best use of a single shot scene I've ever seen. And I think you two would love piecing together the show.
The last season of Mr. Robot starts Oct 6th.
Lance, an example of not all heroes wear capes. So much fun to watch as always 🥽🤕🤯🤯
It’s interesting filming Better Call in like a 2003 Albuquerque, since some places in the show I don’t believe existed in ABQ yet, but it’s still great show with great writing and unique dialogue.
That conversation between Jimmy, Chuck, and Kim is so interesting. Chuck is laying out all the facts and speaking truth but then Kim does the exact same thing. Chuck never gave Jimmy a chance without judging him, but what he says about Jimmy is essentially the truth. It's a hell of an emotional triangle there. 🥽🤕🤯🤯
“See that’s your problem Jimmy, thinking the ends justifies the means, and you’re forever shocked when it blows up in your face”
The ends = Kim getting Mesa Verde back because she deserved it and worked hard for it while at HMM only for HMM to still dismiss her and put her on doc review, she earned it
The means = Making Mesa Verde distrust HMM’s professionalism by changing the address.
The shock = People get hurt, physical and emotional
This was the episode where I realized this show was as good as Breaking Bad, and then it only got better.
I love you guys. Your reactions are priceless!!!
ABOUT FUCKING TIME! I can start my day now....sheeesh
Kim definitely knows Jimmy did it but she's come to accept who Jimmy is and she knows he did it fir her. Plus she was still pissed at Howard and Chuck for screwing her on Mesa Verde to begin with. Like you said, what she said to Chuck was absolutely true. Chuck will always be suspicious of Jimmy no matter what. But Jimmy will always be somebody deserving of suspicion.
That has to do with that draws Kim to jimmy. She tries doing things the legit way and gets screwed over.
Then she sees jimmy pulling shit like this and see that it works for him
🤕🤯🤯 love this episode and your reaction!
🤯 you’ll need this more in future episodes 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I feel bad for Kim the most out of all people in this situation. I know Jimmy's actions regarding falsifying the Mesa Verde documents were well-intentioned, but he still put Kim in a bad spot. If she did make a full disclosure, not only would Jimmy go to jail, but Kim would most likely be blackballed from practicing law due to being associated with the whole thing.
🤯Love this episode! You’re reactions were great! Keep up the great work guys I’m excited to see more 🤕🥽🤯🤯 💩
I just realized that when those guys cross the road to get into the school compound, is that like a reference to The Beatles? Abbey Road?
Love you guys!
This feels like Jimmy's Jane moment, like when Walt withholds help, doesn't it?
It's a parallel, but ultimately Jimmy is a better person than Walt.
From this episode, the stakes start raising non-stop.
Kinda related but does anyone know when S4 of BCS is coming to Netflix? Seems like it’s taking a bit longer than usual
This episode made me allergic to electronics and I've only recently been able to hold a phone and use real lights
I think this was the episode where I went "ok, this is as good as breaking bad!"
Intense is an understatement!! 😎
When is the reaction to the el camino trailer coming? 👀
We all know the reason Mike didn’t kill the driver…because he went through the trouble of putting a blindfold on him 😉
Lol when nikki said it's not over is it! First thing I thought of was Morty in the blood dome. From Rick and Morty
Jimmy and Kim’s offices here are in the building I go to for dentist appointments 🙂
(no goggles)🤕🤯🤯 not sure whether it was intentional or a great coincidence but I love how at 27:42 Nikki said "nail on the head true"
I wonder how the guy who actually drilled the holes in the garden hose, did, actually drill the holes.
(This was harder to write than should've been, I think)
BTW, car scene after saul and the good looking lady leaves the guy scared of electricity guy's house, was funny af!!!
I was biting my nails for Jimmy and Kim's relationship. yet just as uncomfortable that she played along.
Speaking of one shots, it’s a crime that you haven’t seen true detective.
17:20 nothing sounds like it could hurt and feel good to hear out loud more that that sentence.
Crazy stuff!!
Imagine expecting a full measure from Mike lul
Is that a first? Steven is rendered speechless and Nikki has to ask about the emojis? ☺️
Hey guys... I came across your channel a couple of weeks ago, and I LOVE IT, You guys should react to the show Taboo, its my FAVORITE SHOW... and i think it might be right up your guys alley.
Check out the X Files episode "Triangle". The entire episode is made up into four eleven minute sequences. Some creative editing is used since the cameras only hold four minutes worth of film. Vince Gilligan was a writer and producer on the X Files.
🥽🤕🤯🤯💩 The show really is flawless.
That Mi Cucu song the truck driver was listening to got stuck in my head. I don't speak Spanish so I looked it up. It means "My Butt", only cutisier so more like "My Booty". The song is the back and forth between a middle-aged man telling a pretty young girl she has a nice booty, and the girl saying, "You're married. You shouldn't be looking at my booty."
Steve: That shit was so good!
Nikki: Whew...that was good. ...I mean "bad" , but good... :D :D hilarious
@NikkiandSteven
It is SO GREAT to see and watch your reactions. I knew you were going to love this show.
Many people who do not like it are more into the action and kinect conflict of Breaking Bad. That is why Better Call Saul (BCS) may seem to be boring. But BCS is a different show, where the action is in the way the characters bounce nd reflect off each other.
What I love most about Breaking Bad is the character study of Walter White. We are also getting a character study of Jimmy McGill and now Mike. From a technical standpoint, this show does things EVEN BETTER than Breaking Bad.
All I can say is that the road to Saul Goodman is NOT what you think. You are also seeing how Mike becomes "Mike the Cleaner" by the time of Breaking Bad. All of these characters are shapingthe dynamic of who/what these characters are.
It is a testament to the writing that you feel ANYTHNG for Saul Goodman, yet here you are on th edge of your seat watching the dynamic between Jimmy and Chuck. The main question this show asks is "Who is right?" Also, does it even matter at this point? Why does Jimmy do the things that he does? Is it his nature? Or are outside influences propeling him in this direction?
Food for thought. Can't wait for you to see the season finale.
There's a line from The Big Lebowski that I thinks sums up Chuck: "You're not wrong, Walter, you're just an asshole."
In just about everything he does, there is justification. Certainly, in the real world, I would want a lawyer as ethically flexible as Jimmy to be disbarred. But the way he goes about it, and his actual reasons for doing these things, makes him detestable.
24:23 Chuck headbangin'
I know this is completely off topic, but if like one shots, you should check out this video by a band called OK GO. The song s called This Too Shall Pass. amazing
are yall gonna be reaction to el camino new trailer
The cringiest scene is Chuck failing in the court room when you think about how that event pretty much lead to chucks suicide in the long run it’s pretty tragic
Chuck: "I can't stand the fact that my own brother stab me in the back!!"
You need a mirror from 6 years ago
Full hypocrite mode here....
Speaking of awesome one-shots, have u seen 1917?
Sad memories of Ted after seeing what happens to Chuck.
aw man if you guys love one shot takes, check out daredevil on netflix.
Even better, check out True Detective Season One. The greatest one shot of all time.
I'm not sure but I think this is where I left off watching this show. I had to wait for Netflix to drop a season, and by the time they did, I kinda moved on. But I remembered how much I got hooked on this show the first two seasons, so I'm back. Right now, it's only up to season 4 on Netflix, so I can't go all the way till next year - apparently. Your reactions are awesome, tho.
Also, btw...I love Kim. She's my hero.
🤿🤕🤯🤯 Holy shit, indeed! 💩 I miss this emoji thing, btw. 😊🌺🏝️❤️
Hey Steven! So you love One Shot scenes you should check out "1917" its a movie and the Whole movie is Shot in ONE SHOT it looks awsome you should check out the trailer it realeses in December!
I got an idea, you guys should put a heart beat monitor on your videos.
Great Reaction to a great episode! 🥽🤕🤯🤯. Love watching how much you both are enjoying the show. I also love hearing how you question the fans that do not recommend BCS - and rightfully so. Would you believe there are people that claim BCS is nothing more than a cash-grab off of Breaking Bad? Sorry dis-believers. BCS is another masterpiece of story telling.
Yo Lenny (Chuck😅) is such a good actor. I hope he's not dead.😮
3x05 is getting closer guys!
The best ending.
Best episode of the season. From the scene at the courtroom til the end. Anxiety to the core!🤕🤯💩
Is it time to hint about the easter egg yet?
Great 👍 reaction
