I love the fact that Jimmy won't leave chuck in the hospital. He's not gonna make the same mistake as last time.
I actually didn't catch that when I watched the show, good point. He won't risk leaving again and not being there for the last person in his family. If only Chuck knew (or cared maybe) how much his Mom and he both mean to Jimmy.
damn I didn't even notice that. It gives the cold open much greater context
@@isaiah5820 I think Chuck knows how much Jimmy cares about him. Which is why he uses it against Jimmy at the end of the episode.
@@isaiah5820
It should be obvious considering how much Jimmy has done to take care of him. Jmo.
✌️😎
Isaiah Gaudette I know this is really old but I think the interaction between Kim made chuck really open his eyes to how much jimmy does for him and he realized he could use that against him. And then of course when jimmy goes into the print shop to help chuck it showed him that jimmy would be willing to confess to help him
Chuck is the only person who could pull a Slippn Jimmy on Jimmy
It's in their blood. haha
😂😆😅
"When last we met I was but a student. Now I am the master."
@@willesnille twice the pride, double the fall
How was Jimmy supposed to know exactly when his mom would die? Apparently he went to get their lunch or dinner. I'm pretty sure the writers were tryna show roots of Chuck's resentment and jealousy
kj robbi the show does shades of grey and right and wrong from different perspectives so well
I actually don’t think Chuck didn’t tell him out of jealousy. I think Chuck didn’t tell him about the mom asking for him because he was trying to save him from a more painful grief for her. Jimmy would’ve probably never forgave himself for not being there.
@@michaelvaldez538 you're totally wrong man. Chuck was already resentful to Jimmy by many things in the past like the fate of his father's shop and then that happened.
Exactly!!! Chuck is extremely jealous of Jimmy!! Chuck is definitely the devil personified imo. He'll go to extreme depths to beat Jimmy as an attorney bc that's only thing he's good at. Quite pathetic tbh.
@@pitthepig THE FATE OF HIS FATHERS SHOP WAS BECAUSE HIS FATHER WAS A SAP, THE FATHER GAVE PEOPLE LOTS OF MONEY NOT JIMMY,
Fun fact: mike was a sharpshooter in nam, that’s why he’s good with sniper rifles
I knew he had a military background in addition to his police career. Dude was way too methodical
@Drake Lang when Mike was looking at the rifles deciding which to use for tuco, hes given the background of the last rifle and how it was used in nam and stuff and he says that hes familiar
Drake Lang it’s implied in Glove Off, Mike is with Lawson inspecting his wares and comes to the last rifle (M40 I believe).
Mike instantly feels comfortable with this, knowing how to handle it right away. Lawson notices this and comments on it as well.
Lawson also mentions how they replaced the stock from wood to fiberglass, to which Mike mentions how it wasn't a good idea to send a bunch of boys to the jungle with wood stocks that would warp.
Lawson says "military rifle," remarks about Mike being familiar with it, then Mike comments on using said rifle in the jungle.
This is why the writing in so many shows sucks. Does Mike really have to say "HEY I WAS IN VIETNAM" and wink at the camera for you to get it?? It couldn't possibly have been more obvious.
He made the comment about the US making the mistake of bringing wooden M14s to tropical vietnam
@Drake Lang It's implied when he's buying a rifle to kill Tuco. Vince soft confirmed on the Insider Podcast that he was "probably" a Marine Scout Sniper in Vietnam.
Like breaking bad did, Saul just gets better season by season, you’ll love season 3
And S4 moreso.
And season 5 even more. ☺️
S6 is bad tho 😔
@@AndreOnana1 it’s not bad at all but they played it a bit safe. Safe doesn’t equal = bad tho just cuz there wasn’t a ton of twists. The way the story went makes sense
@@AndreOnana1 wrong opinion
The problem isn’t that Mike didn’t kill the driver. The problem is that he committed the robbery at all, which at a minimum endangered the driver’s life since cartels kill first and ask questions later. Mike did all this out of injured pride and a desire to get back at Tio. It’s something Walter would’ve done.
Interesting take. I guess you can say Mike learned his place under Gus while Walt never did.
I think he’s most upset that an innocent civilian got killed because of all of that.
Mike started down this particular path when they threatened his Granddaughter. But, you are right about it was probably a mistake to rob that truck. Mike's works hard to understand what he's getting into. But he's not perfect. ✌️😎 Peace
I do agree that Mike shouldn't have done the robbery, but I wouldn't say it was out of pride. He wanted to hurt Hector purely out of anger for them threatening to harm his family. I don't see Mike having the ego of Walter, if anything he seems to think pretty low of himself.
Facts
I also find it so brilliant for Vince Gilligan to create an entire series with perfect details around side characters of BB..(which he wasn't even thinking about when BB was created) Like Nacho who was only mentioned once in 1 crazy scene, now has an entire character and back story and so much development! Genius.
Edit: I love to think on BB when Saul said "It was Ignacio!" That was probably just a random line and because of BCS Nacho became a real life main character
@@dementedavenger2784 I think he was saying "Lalo didn't send you.. no Lalo??"
@@dementedavenger2784 100% the writers are simply brilliant I love to see how they made a whole prequel that still keeps us on our toes even though we know where Saul ends up
I guess it was genius to have mentionned the characters in BB like if they knew they were going to do one day BBC.. But It's totally normal they are included Nacho in this serie and make his character a current character in the show because the show they needed other characters obviously...
@@amandatidey5751 I always thought he said "Lalo didn't send you?... Don Lalo?"
Nacho was actually mentioned twice in BB. Once by Saul Goodman along with Lalo in that same scene and once by Tuco. Saul also mentions Kim, but not by name. She was simply described as a partner he used to have. Love how Saul also mentions to Walter by the end of BB that he'll be lucky to get a job as a manager at Cinnabun in Nebraska and of course that's what happens lol
Lol Chuck's plan is actually much more elaborate than it appears from this episode
Yeah. He literally went out for the tape recorder as soon as he got home. Maybe he thought out this plan during those 20 hours he was "out" in the hospital lol.

🌈📯🏜📼 Steven summed up how I feel when comparing BrBa to BCS. The stakes are not the same as drugs and guns for Jimmy, but the tension of quality story telling remains. Mike's story brings in the drugs and guns element 😁. Having to fall within the parameters of prequel continuity isn't easy but the BrBa / BCS writing team does it with such amazing talent.
Jimmy confessed out of brotherly love where as Chuck used that love to get that confession. I'm not excusing what Jimmy had done (out of love for Kim), but Wow, Chuck! At this point we question Chuck's motivation behind not telling Jimmy their mother's last words. Does he seem like a good big brother who wants to spare Jimmy feeling bad for missing her last moments? Again, Wow, Chuck!
Chuck is pathetic.
No matter what I always felt that chuck was the worst brother, people often compared them and say that they are two faces of the same coin but in my opinion Jimmy's intentions, however unexcusable, come from a place of love, and what Kim said to him was 100% truth. He made jimmy a self fulfilling profecy. I never got over my hate for Chuck, but that doesn't mean I can't emphasize with him.
aw nikki almost crying when their mom died 🥺
I never noticed the weasel thing haha that's why these writers are so good
What do you mean?
@@rikard.h after Jimmy's commercial a commercial with a weasel comes on
Nikki’s face at the end of the episode is priceless. I feel you, Nikki. This show messed with my anxiety so much on the first watch through!
Been thinking a lot lately about reaction videos. It’s funny how watching people watch a show is so entertaining. It’s like being able to watch it with friends and seeing them freak out over these shows.
I’ve been laid up for a long time (8 years) due to a medical condition that was initially misdiagnosed, so the friends I did have eventually faded away.
So watching you guys helps with the isolation.
And I know I spoke to Steven briefly on Discord but I just want you guys to know that even though you think you’re simply reacting and sharing your opinions on shows, you’re also helping people in situations you weren’t even aware of and probably helping others more than you ever imagined you would.
So from my heart, thank you. So glad you decided to try reacting, and you’re so fricking close to 100k subs!!! You truly deserve it.
Also so glad TWD is back too, favourite show and I’m glad you guys are so into it. I think this season of TWD will help push those subs over the 100k mark!
Off to watch your latest Vikings reaction!
@NikkiandSteven
You now understand why so many of us were furious when people were saying Better Call Saul is not good.
We KNEW you would love this show. Also, dont worry you are really going to get deeper into these characters. Alot of groundwork has been laid in Season 2, and you are going to be taken to some interesting places.
Buckle up as you have alot to see and learn about Jimmy, Kim, Chuck, Howard, and Mike
This show is proof that just because something isn't action-packed doesn't mean it's slow. There's a difference.

Mike was trying to kill Hector, but Nacho prevented him from killing Hector by standing in the bullet's path.
Can we take a moment and think that some people say this show is boring LMAO (after watching like couple first episodes of season 1 and refusing to watch any more)
I got very bored of BCS after watching about 4 episodes about 6 months ago. Finally decided to give it another chance about 2 weeks ago and became completely addicted. This show is awesome!
People do the same thing with Breaking Bad
i do not get that, when the 1st 2 episodes are some of the most engaging from the 1st 2 seasons. The only slow part i find were a couple of episodes in early season 3 from Mike finding out how his car was tracked from this episode, and that's hardly boring in of itself, just slow build up to literally the most hype reveal imo
i was one of them, i watched series 1 as soon as it came out and then when it finished i thought nah i cant watch this anymore, literally last week i thought to give it another chance, ive just finished season 2 lit just now and it’s SO GOOD so excited to catch up
@@chansecory1624 I never got bored with BCS, but I was watching it with my best friend that seemed to have gotten bored with it after season 2. So after we both had to move around, it got put on the backburner. Until recently when I finally got tired of waiting for him and mainlined the last three season. The show is amazing. I always thought it was. I love that it keeps getting better each season. That just shows they setup a solid foundation.
Ya'll are going to be excited when you find out who left the note! As good as this show is you don't even have a clue how crazy it is about to get, you haven't seen anything yet lol. This show is amazing.
Great video as usual. This show gets better and better every season.
You'll love Season 3
I'm about to start season 3, can't wait if your words are true
We had to wait soooooo long after this episode to figure out what happens! Enjoy next week’s episode!
At least this year we have a breaking bad movie to hold us over in between seasons. For everyone who’s caught up that is.
This season has been so intense and so good. Another great reaction! also yay for Nikki’s HP shirt!
Yay! So pumped! You guys are awesome!
This is SUCH a great episode. I had to write down some of my thoughts when I rewatched it yesterday (no spoilers). Thought I'd share here too :)
First scenes first. We see Chuck and Jimmy sitting by their mother’s deathbed. As usual, Chuck is a bit more composed than his brother, and it isn’t until Jimmy leaves the room that he lets his guard down and break down crying. We see here how Jimmy isn’t as “devoted” to staying by his mother’s side quite like Chuck, even if he leaves for only half an hour maybe to get lunch. As we see, their mother passes with “Jimmy, Jimmy” being her last words. When Chuck and Jimmy meets afterwards, Chuck is composed again while Jimmy is more distraught. He doesn’t tell Jimmy anything. From a certain perspective, this is Chuck not passing on his mother’s last words in order to preserve his own ego.
In the show in general, it’s pretty clear that deep down, Jimmy doesn’t actually believe Chuck’s condition is real, even if he makes sure his brother gets it his way. However, in situations where his brother is the most vulnerable, as in the following scene at the print store (word?) where Chuck falls unconscious, Jimmy doesn’t hesitate to pull out all cords and press all switches. Even later, at the hospital, he suggests the machines they use on Chuck to be a reason for his bad condition. To quote a line from one of my favorite artists “I want you so bad I’ll go back on the things I believe”. This time, when his brother is the one suffering, Jimmy refuses to leave his bedside for even a second. That is something to think of.
PS. Maybe Mike should've gone full measure and shot both Hector and Nacho with one bullet...
PPS: 🌈 📢 🏜📼
Season 3 and 4 are AMAZING... can´t wait for your reaction!
Can't wait for season 3 reactions. And 4. Love your reactions.
I'm waiting for 4 to come out on Netflix.
Well , those doctors trying to treat Chuck violated whole books full of rules and regulations.
really?, .. I thought that was realistic.... I'm just curious why you would say that.. I mean they are doing everything possible to help someone that comes into hospital with a serious head injury .
@@IceSword1728 He was clearly articulating to them that he had a condition that would endanger him when put in the situations they suggested. And none of the people present even acknowledged that he was speaking. Not to mention that none of them asked him about specifics. There are plenty of conditions that make some treatments and procedures impossible. No doctor has the right to perform any procedure against the expressed wishes of a patient. A real lawyer would have sued the whole bunch of them into oblivion for that shit.
Being set early 2000s does this change anything? 😂
What really bothered me in this episode was the nurse, she completely refused to listen when Chuck and his brother and Kim try to tell her about his condition though it's rare she completely neglected to even look into it at all and instead just acted annoyed, she didn't call another doctor or do anything about it she just insisted that she was right , worst kind of practice, people like that should not ever be let to make crucial care decisions
not the nurse, she should be fired for how she handled this
S3 is my favorite. Cannot wait for you guys to see it!
Can’t wait for you guys to watch season 3 its really great!
Love the Harry Potter shirt Nikki!!! The looks on your faces trying to figure out who wrote Don’t 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazing finale! Season 3 is my absolute favorite!
Gotta love that Mike cliffhanger
And of course chuck's dirty little trick lol
In my opinion BCS is just as good as BB, just in different ways. The characters and the writers for both shows are incredible. 🌈📣🏜📼
Ehhh been waiting all day and now I cant start it yet lol season finale shows amazing
In my opinion, Jimmy and Chuck's drama is the greatest sibling tension ever produced for tv. It's like a Cold War and they're both goading each other to go for the nuclear option. Chuck's study is a war room where big, impactful dialogue takes place between all characters. And it's all over nonsense lol when you take a step back. Most compelling lawyer show ever that barely takes place in a court room.
🌈🏜📼💣📢 Great season finale! Can't wait for guys to start season 3!
Chuck you sneaky pete.
Okay I think I finally understand Chuck’s condition. I think it’s a subconscious cry for the attention he never got that Jimmy did, which is why Jimmy seems to trigger it.
Cant wait to see the reactions to season 3
UUGGHHH I cant wait for your guys' reaction to season 3. Easily the best season of BCS at the moment.
Almost 100K guys 🙌🎉🎈
The next episode is crazy Yo! 👍
Watching the DVD special features for this season, I learned that the scene where Mike targets Hector and his crew with a sniper rifle originally had a background soundtrack by Dave Porter. However, Vince Gilligan removed the music track because he believed (and I think so, too) that silence made the scene even more suspenseful. You can watch the scene with Porter's score restored on the DVD and decide for yourselves what works better.
I fked a gorilla once
This show is so good at painting each character's actions and morality in a ton of shades of grey. Kim knows Jimmy committed a felony but she's benefitting from it so she remains quiet. Jimmy seriously fucked over Chuck but is also willing to jeopardize his career and maybe even jail time to save him. Chuck doesn't tell Jimmy that their mother called out for him with her last breath but we don't know if it was out of spite for her calling Jimmy's name or if it was to spare him the pain of knowing mom called out for him but he didn't want to stay by her side and went out to get a sandwich instead. Te fact that Jimmy refused to leave Chuck's bedside in the hospital shows how much not being there when his mom died affected him.
So the clue to who it is is actually an anagram for all the first letters in all the episodes in season 2.... It's more fun if you figure it out.
All the trailers for next season was Jimmy in a DOC orange jumpsuit.
We start my favorite season next week! Season 4 is great too, it gets crazy from this point on.

18:39 I had the exact same reaction as Nikki when Jimmy started to confess. I had a feeling in the back of my head that Chuck was recording the whole thing. When the tape recorder was revealed, I exclaimed, "Ah, dammit, I knew it!".
I find it fitting that the one person Jimmy gets outconned by is his own brother.

You guys catch the final El Camino trailer? Movie's out real soon.
Watching you guys react to this show almost reminds me of myself reacting to this for the first time. But the part that I don't understand was why didn't Jimmy just call 911 from outside the print shop anonymously or something
Ok so you guys kind of helped to answer a question that was driving me bonkers when I watched this. The whole thing w/ Chuck recording Jimmy was really obvious to me, I was literally yelling out loud at the TV "no Jimmy, don't confess, he is recording you!"(I don't have a partner atm to be adorable with & react to things with like you guys do so I just yell at my TV). But I was confused about if it was supposed to be obvious or not b/c it was filmed as though it was spsd to be this big reveal at the end when Chuck takes the tape recorder out. Anywho, you guys seemed genuinely surprised by it so I am guessing it was not meant to be obvious & I just picked up on it for some reason. I just didn't believe Chuck for a second when he was going on & on about his brain not working 🙄 I knew he'd say anything to get Jimmy to confess. Their relationship is just so toxic but it's also so sad (esp knowing what ends up happening in S3 which is all I'll say b/c I don't want to write any spoilers but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about). The saddest part to me is how much Jimmy clearly loves Chuck and was so loyal to him, only to have him deeply betray him 😥 oh and p.s. I just wanted to say to Steven, I am so on board with you about Mike, he is also one of my favorite characters of any TV show EVER! I wish he'd gotten his own spin-off, I'd watch him all day long! 😍
me too I just finished that episode and my god was I screaming at jimmy to SHUT UP. 🤣🤣

I'm sure plenty of people have commented about this, but take all the episodes of season 2, take the initial letters, and scramble them; they spell out something ;) And this isn't a spoiler of any kind, people found this out as season 2 was being aired.
That flashback solidified Chuck as a piece of shit in my mind.
WHERES MY REACTION TODAY!!!??
In a sense with these actions from Chuck which help push Jimmy McGill to be Saul Goodman. Over the years Chuck jealousy of Jimmy which manifest to hatred, because Chuck value the Law and seeing Jimmy practice law grinds at Chuck. In the beginning of the episode scene what the mother said deepen the jealousy of Chuck for Jimmy, and Chuck is a great Lawyer but he is a terrible brother to Jimmy.
In my opinion, Season 3 is the best one. Can't wait
Lookin good with the fresh cut Steve. You should wear an earring.
No spoiler but if you wish to solve the season 2 anagram, be my guest
And remember, people say the show is slow in the beginning. I think we are a fair bit past that =)
When y'all gonna go watch El Camino?
This show man!!!!
11:17 - that’s nuts. This is all Jimmy’s doing.
Was Nikki okay in this video? She seemed quite sad or quiet throughout the entire thing. She had a very distant look in her eyes and her face was blank with a hint of sadness.
Yes!
OMG Ernie covered for him!! wowwwwwwwwwwww!!
The first letters of each episode of this season are an anagram that will tell you who left that note for Mike. I won’t explicitly say it as it’s a spoiler!

i've wondered who did that to mike but i actually think it's Gus now!

It isss show time FOLKS 👐👐
Chuck decided to play dirty and conned Jimmy by using his own feelings of guilt and concern against him. If you think it was dirty between Chuck and Jimmy this season just wait until you see the next one. Shit gets brutal, in the proverbial sense.
I'm not even going to go into the Mike and Hector thing because I don't want to give anything away.
The big question is who left the note for Mike??!! There will be answers but you must watch to be surprised.
Chuck deep down has deep jealousy for jimmy…good lawyer or not…it’s always a case where they wanna see you do good but never better then them…Kim said it best all his life Chuck was just keeping him down
Loving all of your reactions. Could you guys considers watching Dark too ? It's a really good show. Thanks 💖
When Chuck told Jimmy the mom didn't say anything before she died was he trying to spite Jimmy or was he trying not to make Jimmy feel bad for not being there?
He was saving his own ego. That's how I see it...
@Drake Lang thank you! I took it both ways because if he did admit it then yes Jimmy would have known he was the favorite but it also could have hurt Jimmy knowing he wasn't there for his Mom in her final moments..But Chuck probably figured Jimmy wouldn't even care about that and like the other comment said he was just protecting his ego
So no reaction today? Cause of indigenous day?
