Those of you who have never seen Joe in concert, have sadly not experienced any of his very high quality musical entertainment, myself I have seen Joe Brown and the Bruvvers live dozens of times over many years since 1962, I have also been thrilled and very proud to meet Joe personally on three occasions, he is still performing and long may that continue.
Out of all the superb performances on Concert for George, this song is the most revelatory... like George's version of "Dark Horse" from Live In Japan, it fully actualized the song. Definitive version. Although this one from Liverpool is lovely too, with those prominent harmonies and excellent slide work. 💜
I've been listening to this entire concert and can't say I have disliked the first second. All of Joe's songs are great, all of which I wish I'd come across years ago. The band is so very tight and the leads are all pleasing. Where have I been?
Fabulous performance with real dynamics and feeling. Great band. Joe is a phenomenal musician. The bottleneck guitar playing was so precise. I will try find out the guitar players name?
A very good pick up. It is Joe's son Pete. Recommend purchasing the DVD of this concert where Joe plays credit to Pete for his work on this track. The tracks and production on DVD is first class. A talented family as Joe's daughter Sam is a well known and respected singer who has appearred many a time with Pink Floyd. If you have not heard it, the guitar work by George on the original song is really good too. One of his best songs.
@@flamingfrancis - Pete is absolutely channelling George there isn't he. Joe himself is no slouch, he was once considered one of the best guitar players in the country. Taught the boy well then.
Brilliant job on slide guitar by the young fella.
His son Pete

So underrated as a singer, songwriter and musician, a brilliant talent and a genuine geezer too.
Great tune, done well by Joe, and some awesome slide work!
i Agreeand thats Joe's son
Just out of Hospital at 140 in the morning just stumbled on this, What stars these people are,, Absolutely love it
MEET JOE BROWN...ONE OF BRITAIN'S GREAT TREASURES
A true legend.probably the best ever British guitarist. As usual with many of our stars totally underrated.
"I'll See You In My Dreams". What a great finish to the show.
"Leaves you with a nice warm feeling to go home with. What could be better than that? - Bag of chips", Joe Brown ending a show.
class song class rendition.
Great slide guitar🇬🇧🎶🎸👏👏👏
Joe's rendition of this song at the Concert for George was the best performance of all, though everyone was great.
James Anderson hi
James Anderson.
It was great, but I might vote for his daughter’s version of Horse to the Water, that came next.
My vote goes to Clapton's version of Beware of Darkness, but that whole concert really had nothing but great, stellar performances.

Not hard to tell he is playing and singing from the heart as GH was much much more than just fellow musician!

Saw him in concert 2 weeks ago in Herne Bay. What a show! And what a lovely bloke. Keep on keeping on, Joe.
Only shows what a great slide player George was.
I am so glad I can see the show on UA-cam because I can't buy
the CD at the moment!
I am looking forward to go to one of his concerts!

Adoro essa canção, muito linda.
Fab. I think George digs this.

Joe is a gentleman. But George Harrison was a friend of his so it figures. Joe sang the last tribute to George in his memorial concert.
Love this song, and Joe and his band do it justice. For George.
Excellent!,,,,
Beautiful version Noel had a most distinct singing voice🙏. Parkhouse Hotel great times Don Hanlon ( Longford )
This Performance is in a different key than the one they played at the Concert for George. Has anyone got any idea what’s the key here?
Gorgeous
The bloke on slide, steals the show... Anyone know anything about him?

Joes son Pete
That drummer is all over the place
Why does my eyes turn wet again and again?
It's great, better than the original in my opinion. 🙂
I have seen the spiritual eye and George must have as well.
George didn't need no wah-wah, but that was great!
Maravilha de canção de George Harrison.
To Ken Power. This is Joe's son..... Pete Brown.
