Works great. I have been soaking off my gel and acrylic until now. Watched your video on how to safely remove acrylics as well. All works great and way less damage to my natural nail. Thanks guys!
Thank you for showing the correct way to remove all that product and start a fresh new look😍💜 I can’t wait to get my Nail License and sign up for one of your classes😀♥️ You guys are the Best😉
Thanks so much for yet another informative tutorial. E-files can be so tricky, but your explanation gives me confidence that I can safely remove product.
I remember this class sooooooo many years ago conducted by Janelle Kennedy, your awesome educator here in Brisbane Australia, I still use your methods to this day - she rocks as a YN teacher & just as inspirational as you guys are, cheers once again - Tina, Gold Coast Australia :)
You are such a great instructor, Greg! I love that you show us these techniques on real people, not just trainer hands or tips. It's so much more helpful to me! Question though - what if they don't want to reapply extensions? Do you leave that thin layer of base/gel anyway? What do you recommend to make the nails look good while growing out? *fingers crossed* someone is still monitoring these older vids for comments and questions. Thanks for all you do!
you can leave a little product there, or even remove then do a basic mani with some clear polish to give them a little something on their nails. removing nails is kind of like when you remove a cast, she skin underneath isn't damaged it just hasn't been exposed to the elements in a long time, your nail plate is the same. no damage (if removed properly) just a little sensitive at first, so usually a coat of polish is plenty after removal
@@youngnailsinc I have a question for you I’ve got VERY VERY THIN NAILS that peel and fray when I file the edges but I want to get them done I want to grow my nails out so I can have them longer and wanted to know what the best gel to use on my natural nails that won’t damage them but give them strength to grow I was thinking an overlay I can soak off would be the safest! What do you think I should do? Do you have any suggestions on what’s safe to do on my type of nails? I forgot to mention when I have file the surface of them at home to put on fake nails or buff it scares me how thin they feel is there anything I can do about the thickness are their product that will help with growing the thickness?! I’m assuming not but I thought I’d ask
@@tanisgeorgetti7317Hi! I have the same problem, so when I read your comment I was hoping for a good answer too, but I see that didn't happen. I tried the mani-q fiber gel to put my full cover nail tips on, hoping that will help mine. I just did this a week ago and have not removed my nails yet, but im hoping this will be the help my nails need as I can't go without nails and wait out for them to get healthy lol, but I think using it as an overlay on your natural nail is the intended or primary use for the mani-q fiber gel😉 I saw a video about this for someone that had thin, weak nails. I will update after I remove them😉
I can’t get my fingers right for nothing!! I have to keep reminding myself because holding your fingers like that while working on your clients help with shaking and it balance it more. Please do a video on how to do it from the beginning. 😘
Hello. I know this is really old but I figured I’d try. So I used YN hard gel on my nails and have decided I want to take them off and do nothing to my nails for a while. I can never seem to differentiate between the clear base layer and my natural nail plate. Last time I filed way too far down and I don’t want to leave ANY product (not even base) on my nail. How do I differentiate between base layer and natural nail so I don’t file off my real nail again?! PLEASE HELP!
I really love your job. Wish to be there to learn from you. I want to ask you if you guys can recommend which drill electric to buy. I want to buy something good and professional. Thanks a lot for your help in advance 😘 Keep going the hard work
I love your channel! I learn so much! Thanks for the great tips on removal! I have a question though... be kind people... I haven’t even started nail school yet (I start June 4).... why cut the nail? If the client still wants that shape and length, would you still cut the nail and rebuild?
Good Luck in school!!! When extending out the nail, the natural nail will just be in the way. It is easier to shorten the natural nail then apply your forms. However if your client is just wanting an overlay over their natural nail then you would not remove the natural nail.
So helpful many thanks. Can you then use acrylic as a fresh set. I have hard gel overlays on my own long almond nails. I’ve stuck with hard gel as I can control how my non-Dom hand looks before curing. Feeling brave to then apply acrylic to that right hand. Would it adhere with a little hard gel base? Many thanks x
Would I be able to hand file off the product? I haven't purchased a e-file yet, I really wanted to feel comfortable with a hand file before e-file. But I do feel comfortable purchasing one now if necessary.
Me personally, before the tip grows out pointing too downward making the nails look like actual cat claws. No amount of filing can fix that but a fresh new set. Some clients prefer that look though. Me, eek.
If it is hard gel, it's best to remove all of the gel since acrylic doesn't bond well to the non porous surface of a hard gel. If it is gel polish, a small amount of residue should be ok, but it's always best to apply the acrylic to a clean, prepped natural nail since acrylic is designed to bond to the keratin protein in the nail, not gel polish.
11,000-16,000 rpms for removing product. If you are feeling a burn then you might be staying in the same spot for too long. applying too much pressure or your bit may be dull.
Hi Jude, nails don't actually breathe air, they receive their nutrients and oxygen from your blood not the air. They key is going to someone that is taking care of your nails and not damaging them. If they are taken care of there is no need to take a break in between.

Filing the free edge down to gauge how much you need to take off on top of the nail bed. Great tip. Thank you!

I have to give you a " 👍" cause you are so good on explaining!!
Excellent tips for picking up speed

If I just use Build Gel on the nails with a non gel top and base coat, can I soak it off instead of an electric file?
Don Kolczak Any of the gel's in our Synergy line have to be filed off, they are not a soak-able gel ❤️
Like how long should a nail tech be taking to take off gel or acrylic set ? ....i like timing myself 😊💕
Depends on if you are removing your product or someone else's. Typically removal is around 15-20 min.
👍🏻love this way to remove the product!!
Another awesome tip 😍😍 Thanks Greg
😍😍
REALLY good at teaching!!!
Thank You!!!

Control how my dominant hand looks not non-Dom 🤦🏻♀️
Yes acrylic sticks to anything
These vids are amazing. I’m just starting out doing my own hard gels- is it possible to file them off by hand? I don’t have an e-file yet.
yea you can, will just take a lot longer
Thank you Greg
can someone help me find the vid he referenced where they made that yellow & red hard gel on the woman's nails?
Hello!! Sure I believe the nail was our Dubai Sunset nail! Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/tVa9KlV4mzM/v-deo.html
Thank you, greatly appreciated 😊
Thanks I appreciate it

Yes you could
@@youngnailsinc what file grit would you recommend? Is 100/180 ok?
That is incredible! #goals
Si graciasss
Thank you.
Thanks Greg 😀
How often should a customer do a fresh set?
This is a good question.
D Kirk I usually have my clients do a new set at least 2 times a year one in January(new year, new nails ) and then around June(for the summer) :)
Me personally, before the tip grows out pointing too downward making the nails look like actual cat claws. No amount of filing can fix that but a fresh new set. Some clients prefer that look though. Me, eek.
If you sculpt then you don't need to
Thank you guys!!!
😍😍
How would I get it off if it’s on my real nail and not a tip? I don’t want to cut my natural nail off.
Thanks
Thanks!😍
How better to remove gel polish from natural nails by bit (drill) or by pure acitone
Yessss!!!
What is your nail drill brand
Amazing 😁😁
Thanks. what speed of efile is recommended for fast and safe removal of gel.
Gel polish? About a 7
Lo ase mirar muy facil
Can you apply acrylic even if there’s gel residue?

What type of bits are you using to remove hard gel?
We use our coarse safety bit, x-cut or tornado bit.
What electric file do you like to use!
We love our YN-100 Desktop efile
What if we don't want a new application? Do we remove it all?
Nope not necessary
Beautiful job,. Xxx
Thank you!!
You're very welcome, . X
How many rpm do you use for removal so it doesn’t burn ?
11,000-16,000 rpms for removing product. If you are feeling a burn then you might be staying in the same spot for too long. applying too much pressure or your bit may be dull.
Is synergy build considered hard gel?
Yep
Great 😍😘
Which outlet can i purchase these bits in Dubai?
Mena Region Exclusive Distributor, Azb Ltd.
youngnailsme@gmail.Com
is it coarse carbide or coarse diamond bit?
The safety bit is coarse carbide
@@youngnailsinc Thanks
Why can't this gel be soaked off?
Hard gel is non porous meaning it doesn't allow liquid to pass through it so you cannot soak it off.
Remembering to let your nails breathe between hard nail sets for at least a few weeks is best.
Hi Jude, nails don't actually breathe air, they receive their nutrients and oxygen from your blood not the air. They key is going to someone that is taking care of your nails and not damaging them. If they are taken care of there is no need to take a break in between.
