I’ve had my rescue a year now. She’s 8 soon to be 9! Olde English Bulldogge. I too have the same issue walking Georgia. I started today using some of the techniques in the video! It worked! I will continue to reinforce as you have suggested! Thank you so much! I enjoy your videos! ❤ from USA
My heart goes out to this lady...must be extremely hard to cope with..I was blessed with my beautiful blue merle collie ❤ So well behaved..I miss him daily 🌈 xxx
Three years of her precious retirement with this and then the trainer comes over and spends minutes turning it around. I've learned from this to get a trainer asap.
Aweee wee Blossom bless ! So difficult with a reactive dog mine is the same a terrier crossed with more terriers shes great with dogs she knows but others she goes from zero to five hundred its so hard !! It makes walks not enjoyed
Same problem with my Peke! Luckily I meet the same people and their dogs on our walks, and most of them are so friendly and bring their dogs over to meet; that has helped immensely. Now to conquer small dog syndrome and her barking at Rotties ...
Can you get a friend or family member to come with you for training purposes? They can drive and you can hold the lead and give a little lead chec and firm reprimands when he decides go off and praise when he is quiet. Then once he responds to the commands, you can see if he can do it with you driving around a parking lot. There was also a segment on youtube of this show about a lady whose dog went crazy in the car and she was on her own.
I wish I’d known you were coming here I need help with my German Shepard nothing is working with biting everyone and not walking properly and jumping at moving cars outside Im trying everything with no results 😢
Jack Russell's are very hyperactive and needs a lot of exercise.. Maybe not the ideal "calm retirement" dog 🤭 But I hope that she got the proper help from Graeme ❤
Dogs don’t behave very badly.. it’s the owners who don’t discipline them. There is no such thing as a ‘bad’, ‘crazy’ or ‘aggressive’ dog if you don’t give them rules, boundaries and limitations when you first get a dog
@@alizehlatif1424 Uh yes they do. Even puppies have distinct personalities. it will vary between the individual but the breed plays an influence. They were bred to have those personalities so they could perform their appropriate tasks. It's why they say some breeds are better for kids than other- because some are more highly strung and don't like lot of touching and animation, while some are very placed and are better with kids. A labrador is a better pet for kids than a Chihuahua. That's just one example. This is a Jack Russell Terrorist. They are designed to chase foxes. They are energetic, easily stimulated and can also be vocal and aggressive because those traits are ideal for fox hunting. I have a kelpie cross. What do you know, she likes to stare things down, is persistent, is very loyal and wants living things to stay in one group.
It is not that simple to stop a reactive dog. depending on the underlying issue of course. Blossom knows shes on camera... dogs know that they are expected to perform for a stranger and in a set up situation. I'd like to see if this actually carried over to real life!
In fairness the episodes seem to be the same every time. One would think someone could watch the videos and apply the techniques. It seems trainers have such an innate ability with dogs they seem to train them straight away as if by magic.

The dog owner reminds me of Cate Blanchett. Love Graeme as always!
Blossom is a smart little thing and learns quickly❤

Thanks for the advise. I'll certainly try it. I can't take anymore damage to myself or what's left of my car.
Great - amazing work
Did anyone's smart speaker start to play classical music? Then tell you the weather! when Graham asked.
Kinell it triggered my Mutt to do his Hound of the Baskervilles impro!!!
How do I deal with my Griffon who goes bonkers in the car. It's really dangerous and i can't drive and train her simultaneously.
Maybe you can train her by driving around in an empty parking lot? :)

Well she's on walks all the time and her owner is super active so I would think it's a great match now that Blossom's calmed down.
@Evelyn-h5q yeah you're probably right.. I'm just happy when I see a dog having a caring owner :)
@@elin_ me too!
The dog could do with a bath and a groom.
geez why so negative
It’s a rough coat jack Russel’s terrier. The coat is part of their charm.
I'm sure that Graeme would've mentioned it if it was that bad.
@@helenlizzystewart4908that’s not negative! Just stating a fact. You’re response is negative
She keeps panicking and yanking the lead when the dog goes off on one. Just relax, jeez. You're not helping.
Typical Jack Russell! 😂😂

some breeds are more prone to certain behaviours and personality traits and require specific handling and training.
No they don’t.. it’s the human that makes dogs get those personalities.. it’s an animal it feeds off human emotions and or energy..

Its very clear the dog is badly constipated and desperately needs a poo. 💩
do you have anything original to say as you seem to write the same sentence every programme

Is "the dog" how you refer to yourself?
No.
@@box1007 exactly. if it were really that simple to cure reactivity and howling at music then everyone would do it instantly. It really isn't.
