Thanks Ray and G’day again from Brisbane Australia. It’s mid Winter here right now, which is actually usually our best weather, normally not “cold” at all.
Hi Ray, I hope you're doing good after your surgery. I hope to see some updates on your work. I've been in communication with Jenny Wu, she's as communicative as you've said. I am just trying to decide on what to order. I really want her vertical batteries, but we'll see, I might just do DIY like you've done. I have 5 sheets of BB 4x8' in the garage from a project I did in 2020. Thanks for all the great insight! Hope to see you back on here!
Hi Ray, again a different batch of boxes which will look great, I wanted to wish you well for your surgery. I can’t believe that I have been living in Brazil for over 10 months.
Great to see you back and look forward to the freshening-up videos on the battery bank builds. Prayers with you on the surgery and recovery. ….. and throw that ball for Rona more often ….. see you soon young man !
Ray's doctor builds cool stuff. To continue your work, you will be needing your feet. Have a good recovery and keep your ease. See you in another video being well again.
All the best on the surgery. I had reconstructive ankle surgery 3 yrs ago to repair torn ligament and tendon. Pain-free and 100% after 5 months. The only issue was that the outside incision took a while to heal because it was located where I flexed my ankle, and it would partially tear open. Look forward to more of your informative videos!
Like the improved design a lot. Would have been nice if you simply would show the old boxes first in the next video for all those who had subscribed later to understand the desin and improvements a bit better. i had seen all these videos so it was a bit easier but I had forwarded it to someone else who struggled a bit to understand how to get a box out of these pieces. Today you just jumped into the topic of boxes for batteries assuming the old guys would be back again watching but for those that are new to the channel it is a different game. I also would love to hear you talking about the first batch of batteries, how they had performed, how many cycles and how much capacity left and if you had found a cell that was no longer performing that well. Just a looking back over the 1 year or 15 months of diy battery usage and you just talking and explaining your observations in the long run. Thanks a lot - will be watching those too even so right now no need to build another one.
Im not sure i want a "warm hug" fron a 14kw/h battery ⚡⚡😂. Love your videos and good luck with the pre-op and post-op for your surgery! Im sure you'll be scooting around doing more battery videos 🤙🤙
Best wishes on the up coming surgery, and best wishes for a very speedy recovery. These battery boxes look fairly easy to build, it looks like you don't really use a set design just plans you have drawn up and some engineering. Hope the ankle heals fast..
Ray: I have made a CAD-drawing in millimeters from your hand-sketches that you can hand out if you want. Just send me a note, so I can send it to you... 🙂
That’s great. I made a video two days ago that showed all the dimensions including the holes but the camera work was terrible so I deleted it. I’ll try again tomorrow. There is an email address for me if you go to the about section on my home page. Thanks
Hallo Ray. I like what you do and i have been in contact with Jenny Wo and order som more batterys. I have tody just 16pc 280amps . But i am going to built more because off the price had gonne upp so much her in Sweden on the El delivery. I lik yours information and you are an insporation. Sorry if my English is not 100 % . Continyu the good work you do. Best regards Stefan from Sweden/ Stockholm
Hallo. God to see that you are alright. Wo in Kina / or outher country do you rekomand to 280 Amps Life4jon batterier from. I realy like yours explaining off the things you showing in yours vidios. Best regards. Stefan Ivarsson/ Sweden
Hello Ray new viewer/subscriber as of today. Needing a lil info if possible. I am wanting to build a battery using 280ah catl cells and understand the battery build pretty well but the bms is where I get sketchy. I currently have 6 lifepower4 signature solar batteries running a growatt 5000es and it works flawlessly so far. I am wanting to use the rs485 comm port from a 5000es to communicate with the diy battery and not sure which bms will communicate with growatt 5000es. I am wanting to build an additional stand alone system similar to what I have but build my own battery. I already have the inverter but am leary of the communication between it and a diy battery.Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you 😊 Also where abouts in texas are ya at?I'm at Lake Whitney
Hi Ray, i've been watching your channel since the beginning and i also order two SEPLOS BMS. I was wondering if you can also configure in series, not only in parallel. There are some hybrid HV inverters that are starting around 100v from the brands listed by SEPLOS. I hope you get well soon and thank you in advance.
Currently LFP is 98 to 99% efficient and will last approximately 10 years. The price of lithium has dropped, don't wait. There will always be "something new" in just a bit, meanwhile these work fine.
If you are talking about sodium ion batteries, they are already being produced by CATL, BYD and a smaller company whose name escapes me. It appears all the production is going into EVs at this point. I'm guessing 2 years before we get them for storage. And I hope I'm wrong and we get them sooner.
@@sforce05 Yes, but they haven't even finished building the factory yet. Lithium isn't all that rare, and LFP batteries work fine, the only advantage Sodium Ion batteries would have is low temperature. Nobody knows how many cycles, what density, etc. So, it you want an energy storage system in the next two years, LFP is the only real game in town. If you want to wait 2 or 3 years, there *might* be a sodium ion solution available.
What a nice inspiration video on doing DIY box!
With all this blackouts i really need to make one. Thanks, Ray, and greetings from Ukraine!
Best of luck sir.

I want to see you back on your own two feet soon, please take care of yourself.
Excited to see this set of battery videos. I hope the ankle heals quickly.
Was thinking about you this morning. Not raining yet on the Divide Pass in Blanco County. Hope the surgery goes well!
Afternoon Ray, you building more. Best not floor my cousin and Aunt will not like that happening. You take it easy with that knee, mate

Glad to see you again fighting with batteries.
Battery again, hurra !
Have fun with the ankle. Been there, not fun. All the best.
Thanks for the video and good luck with the medical issues..... Can't wait for the follow up, but make sure you don't rush the healing process.
You are great Ray! All the best for the surgery!!

That's one reason why I went with 2000 amp battery combiner box. 12 breaker slots rather than 8.
Hope the ankle fun works out.
Getting old ain't for amateurs...
Another exciting battery build.
Hi Ray. Although I am subscribed to notifications, I keep NOT getting notifications. hope your surgery went well
Suerte con la operación desde España

@john_in_phoenix they tease about condensed battery at 500wh/kg.
