I've recently found your channel and I'm really enjoying your videos! One of my favorite classics is A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith! It's about a young girl's life in 1912 Brooklyn, New York and everything she and her family goes through. According to the author's wikipedia page, the book is fairly similar to her own life, and it's very interesting to hear about how life was like back then. I highly highly recommend it if you've never read it!
