As always…your refreshingly happy personality wins the day! I loved the part when you received the “Hold on it’s the guitar teacher” text/call…made me laugh when you think out loud about losing your train of thought!😊 This is why you are truly loved by your Viewers. You are so “real” and relaxed. When I see a new Pin Cut Sew video…I grab a cup of coffee or tea, bagel & know my mood will be uplifted as I tune in. ❤
I MUST make these elves for the little people in life. I am well past 70 years, and I was given the original elf on the shelf in the 50s. I always found the face a little creepy (and maybe it's been changed by now) but I still have that original. I am anxious to make these because they are so much sweeter. Thank you.
I have never heard the leaders and enders tip before!!!! Thank you so much! I always struggle with that (I’m pretty new) and thought it was just my machine was too crappy or something 🎉
I would love to find instructions for simple Barbie clothes. My sister made a box full for me one Christmas. She was 10 years older than me and was so great at sewing.
Congratulations Niki on your UA-cam Button, I haven't noticed it before, I love your channel , and thank you for helping me with quilting a big quilt from one of your other video's . I love your dolls they are so very cute, one day I will try to make one. Narelle.
These are the cutest! I purchased the other doll pattern during your sale. I’m hoping to start making one in the next week or so. I have been gathering supplies. I would love to make 3 before Christmas. 🎄
Thank you, peachy peach. Lots of helpful ideas. I love elves and have lots my grandmother made in the 1950s which I adore. I'm not sure why you'd make your elf on the shelf do naughty things when you have little kids. I just don't get it. I can see it being funny with your teens. Our elves are all sweet and can be touched and played with. 🥰
I am currently watching on my TV but had to stop and comment. In the video where you are showing starter and end pieces, and how not to get your materials sucked down into your machine. I was piecing these two very small pieces together and it sucked down into the hole in my needle plate AND bent it! 😮 I've got another one on order should be here Friday, hopefully that takes care of it or I'll be making a trip to the repair shop. I picked up some machine oil today, figured I'd give her a good cleaning and oil while we waited. 😢 It will be okay, it will be okay, it will be okay. I had just gotten my sewing stuff semi situated and been able to use my newish machine. Found you on UA-cam and your videos have encouraged me to try wonky quilts or at least blocks. So far I've made 6 Mason Jar Cozy for the 4th of July. ❤
I got my plate early and just put it on.... Yay!🎉 I'm back in business. ❤️ I just made my first start and going to do me end block next but had to tell you!!! ❤
Just absolutely LOVE this ❤ Even though I don't have young kids or grandkids, I think I'll make some for the Toy Drive or to donate ❤ Thanks for Christmas in July Nikki🎄
I never had trouble with my machine sucking my fabric in with my original Singer machine because I had a single hole throat plate. Evidently sewing machine companies thinks that foot plate was not worth making for newer machines, because my new Pfaff does not offer one. I miss it terribly. Thanks for the tip!!
My Janome machines have the single hole plates included as well. The sensors know which plate is being used so there’s no needle breakage thank goodness.
“ Great video! “Sucking the fabric into the machine” indeed! I really don’t like when that happens. Didn’t know what leaders and enders were until recently. Man, do they help!!!! I’m going to get a hemostat. This pattern is adorable. Thanks.
@SharonRStudio…check out Harbor Freight if they are in your area. I found a set of 4, I think, clamps for less than any at fabric/hobby stores. There were a couple different angles and tips and I really like them. There are several videos on YT with ideas for hobby/sewing items from HF.
Thanks for these tips! I could have used the clothes tips for a "shirt mug-holder" thing I made with tiny sleeves LOL. Also, Elf on the shelf is creepy AF, my kids were the right age but I refused, Santa just knew.
Not a fan of Elve on a shelf. But your doll is super cute. I think the craft stores sell holiday stuff so earlier is, some stuff takes a long time to complete.
I love your doll patterns, I’ve made grandparents, ballet dancer and mermaid. I have been told my daughter not to make an elf on the shelf cos you have to remember to move it every day. She has a friend who sends the elf on a spa holiday mid December!! 🤣😂, but I may just need to make one for me! ❤
Anytime of year is a good time to work on seasonal quilts. Let's face it, sometimes it takes a while to find just the right project & then the time to complete it may not work 2 weeks before the Holiday.......Yep, that's the way it works sometimes.
Hi Nicole, I really enjoyed watching your video on making dolls or sewing small things. For years I made Barbie and Ken clothes for my niece and then I started making them to sell in a store I had a big newspaper ad done in the Palm Beach Post years ago I sold quite a few until the store moved, I miss it to some degree, my hobby now is Quilts and Bible reading/study.
I was just thinking last night that I need to get started on making a doll for my daughter's birthday. Then I got to thinking how difficult all the tiny seams on the clothes would be and I got overwhelmed by the idea. Then you uploaded this video this morning! Haha Also, I recently heard someone call leaders and enders thread bunnies. I thought that was just the cutest name! Thank you for making wonderful videos! I look forward to watching each one!
Love your video Nikki! How novel to think of working on Christmas presents in the sunmer, and it’s no wonder I don’t accomplish my whole list when staring in November. Thanks for a kick in the butt! 😊

My Grandma used to make clothes for my sister's Barbie and my Skipper. Such patience she had. Also made our dresses for school😊
sounds like a lovely woman
@@antiquejeanshe was! Miss her all the time😊
Adorable
Oh my goodness!!!! Those dolls are so adorable!!!! Thanks for sharing all the tips as well.
So stinking cute😊
Very cute elves! I can see they can easily be turned into fairies too.
Personally I couldn't stand elf on a shelf, came to detest it. I love elves though and yours are adorable.
same
Adorable elves. Nikki you are the best. I find myself smiling when I watch you. 🎶💐💖🫂

Oh my goodness! How cute! I’m late. I think I want to try making one or two. Thank you!

TFS. Remember in the future grandkids would love to play with the nativity set around Christmas. Just saying it comes faster then you think😊
Sew Cute!!! You are so talented!

Omg they are so cute. I'm excited about Christmas in july series. I'm definitely getting the pattern ❤
You are so informative and such a joy to watch!

Yes, a new video. You are such a joy to watch and learn from. ❤
Aw thank you 🤗
I like the idea of sewing flat!!!!
Very cute, grading seams also helps with bulky small seams. We have a elf on the shelf which keeps my husband on his best behaviour😂
The elves are so so cute. Love them so much. Thanks for Christmas in July.
Too cute! Love all your little dolls!

To turn small tubes, i take a solid straw and a chopstick
Adorable!
Great tips, sewing small things can be so frustrating!
So stinking cute! Great tips too for small sewing ❤

Simply adorable and thank you for all the great versatile tips!

Thread bunnies, that’s the cutest 🐰
We call them bunny tails!!
That may just be a Southern thing.
So excited for Christmas in July! Thank you 🌸🙏🌸
Love your video Nikki! How novel to think of working on Christmas presents in the sunmer, and it’s no wonder I don’t accomplish my whole list when staring in November. Thanks for a kick in the butt! 😊
Haha you are welcome
I have a container of 2" squares that I use for leaders/enders. One day I'll have enough sewn together for a Postage Stamp quilt
That is such a good idea
The elves are adorable! Off topic here, but please tell me the brand and color of your nail polish - I love it!
It’s the Olive and June brand, I can’t remember the name of the color and it doesn’t say on the bottle, weirdly 😆 But I got it at Target 👍🏻
Thank you, that helps!@@PinCutSew
MY daughter loves gnomes. I wish it was elves cuz I don't like gnomes at all. Lol oh by the way she's 41.
My son was next to me when i was watching the part about piviting and he said she is "stick drifting" like from fortnite:)
Haha! 😆
