Henry Cavill's trunkless Superman suits, are the only trunkless Superman suits I like.
Trunks are the worst part of all the suits.

The Superman suit without trunks is the modern day style and they should carry on with this style. The only reason that they did it with trucks was because of the striking man style at the being of Century

MoS Supersuit was perfect. The later ones were too shiny. Same for Batman. BvS was perfect, they messed it up afterwards.
Blame the studio for the countless interference to the vision of the directors
@@theray9855 I think even the directors may want to change it up a bit, once they see what looks good or bad on camera. In this case, they were definitely wrong.
BVS costume was better due to the lighting.
I 100% agree with you. The BvS & later suits were indeed too shiny, the muscle detail was excessive & looked fake.
I actually loved the aged look of the suit here. You can see in the gold buckle that it’s grimy in the sides due to age which fits really well with its origin of being an ancient suit stuffed in a ship for millennia.
Cavil and Dean Cain were the only Supermen with actual muscle. Reeves in Superman 3 was huge too but no definition.

I was just streaming the movie last night! It hasn’t aged badly in my opinion. I’m nervous to see what James Gunn brings to the next incarnation!

For the more experienced Superman fans out there, was Superman always known as a "Symbol of Hope" before this movie? Because I cannot recall "Hope" being a major feature of his character before this movie hyped it up.
Nope not really
You cannot be serious guys, of course Superman is supposed to be a symbol of hope. Even smallville emphasized Superman as a symbol of hope before man of steel, to say nothing of the og films or comics. Hope is a fundamental part of why Superman was created in the first place.

I'll try and make myself clearer; I had never heard of the idea of "hope" being a major feature of Superman's marketing as a character, on the level of fighting for "Truth, Justice, and the American Way"before this movie really put major emphasis on the ideal of hope. Unless there is something I missed prior to that.
@@theunknowncommenter725 Hope was always a huge part of Superman’s character, it didn’t come from smallville I just used that as an example because it came right before man of steel. If you’re talking specifically about the s being a symbol of hope, that is a comic thing and was introduced way before any modern adaptation.

@fkim8449 I read that and don’t even remember that moment. Cavill acted like he was asked what letter is on Superman’s chest, which is way more obvious and well known.
To me was very darkness to be the Superman suit.

Henry cavil by far best Superman, his suit was by far the best suit , the black suit was also badass . Gunns Superman is dead on arrival, he's burned too many bridges and pissed people off. His suit already looks like garbage. I hope his Supes fails and bombs miserably. All he is is just a fake and phony. Zack Snyder you r a masterpiece. Your visions and stories r eclectic . Long live the Snyderverse
