Honestly... the best ending in the one where you leave with Panam and the NOMADS. Whether you're a male and in a relationship with Panam, or a female in a relationship with Judy (who also leaves them with the others depending on the player's choices), even if V is going to die, at least he/she gets to die in happiness surrounded by friends, and unless we get a sequel, we don't know if V truly dies. Maybe there's another city out there that has enough technology to help save V's life.

Plus given what Hellman says about the relic being ideal for dead brains, and the fact that the end of the game sees v essentially be an engram in what is described by alt as being Johnny's (technically dead) brain genetically, V would be fine because he's essentially redownloading his psyche into a blank brain without another psyche to fight the process. In other words, they'd be fine

I feel like in an expansion, we might actually find a cure, especially in that Panam ending. She tells us she knows someone who might be able to help, so that might be the expansion.
Just dunno how they'll continue the expansion for ppl who's V dies.

I gotta say. My favorite part about this game was the characters. Even through the bugs and the gameplay sometimes being just ok to me, the story and the characters were so phenomenal that I couldn't help seeing it to the end. The side quests with the romanceable characters were all just glorious, helping Judy save Evelyn and going to her underwater hometown, meeting River Ward and saving his nephew, going to Jackie's funeral and sharing a moment with Misty and Mama Welles and even getting to repair their relationship, then helping Panama and the clan. I enjoyed every second of it. Just wish Misty was in more quests and Jackie got more time to shine.

Man you are quick, didn't even need a week for part two, I'm impressed :)
I liked that there is no ending to the game where V actually survives and how much that fits the setting of Night City. I mean, even Johnny tells us that there are no happy endings in NC. However, I wasn't aware of how well that fits together with the themes of the game, especially because I never actually realized that it explores our relationship with death throughout the main story until now. So thanks for providing that new perspective!

Saving Johnny and letting him live one more time in V’s body by giving him full control made me feel good. Just the sight of watching Johnny buy a young fan a guitar only to leave the city was satisfying for me.

I arrived in Night City an Outcast of the Outcasts, made some friends who were as close as family could get, then when trying to get some of that good life Night City promised, I got pulled into the deep end of a Corpo/AI/Human War almost half a century old. Lost my best choom, got lead to the head and got a new roommate and voice in my head, all in one. While on a quest to get revenge for what Arasaka did to Jackie, what the System and Voodoo Boys did Evelynn and Judy and carving a name for myself into Night City. I met some of Night City's Legends, even jammed and zeroed with some. To top it off I met Panam, loner Nomad, I felt something when we worked together that only grew, in the end I found a new family in the Aldecaldos, though I had to sadly say goodbye to Johnny, on top of having only a few months left, I bid Mama Welles, the Valentinos, Misty and Vik fare well as I said good riddance to Night City to head home with Panam.

I really enjoyed this game, from the story, to the characters, to the game play(if simplistic). I loved seeing Jackie and V's relationship develop from rivals in the opening to close friends leading up the tragic heist. When I was first pulled from death by Johnny I felt confused and intrigued, and then to have him sacrifice himself for me, it hit me hard.
I understand there are bugs, no way to ignore that, but overall, the story and characters you meet and grow attached to, even V him/herself, makes the game worth playing through.

12:10 You are so right my dude. CDPR does deserve some of the blame, but not all of it, we hyped it up at lot and were getting frustrated with delays. I mean as a phrase I heard before said, "A delayed game is eventually good, and a rushed game is forever bad." I mean there's some exceptions to that (certain Duke game as an example), but still we should've given them time to work, especially sense in their latest patch they were able to fix most of the bugs that the game had

I got the ending where V becomes a legend of Night City and Arasaka pretty much runs itself into the ground. In it V seems depressed but her actions definitely had a mostly positive impact. Not to mention that the final cutscene is V prepping to attack the space casing that I only seem to remember the name of when it isn’t important. On my second play through I gave control to Johnny which ends with him in V’s body visiting V’s grave and starting some kid on a new path to being the next Rocker Boy before leaving Night City for good. Regardless the endings are incredibly impactful and leave you with a strong lingering feeling.

I love the dynamic the game brings to the table. The whole time characters and Johnny himself ask if he’s influencing v, and as the story goes on we see them become more and more one in the same. But its also true for us as the player. We can decide to choose options based on what johnny feels and tells us, and for me and a lot of people, he DID influence a lot of our choices and a lot of our views. I found myself making a lot of choices BECAUSE Johnny says something or because his views on whats going on, when if Johnny wasn’t there at all i would of probably picked other choices.

  • @chaostheory89

I read somewhere that one person found the strength to get themself out of contemplating, as the game puts it, flat lining themself. They got to the end of the game, and picking the choice that they’d have picked themself. V put a bullet in their head. The ending, with all of the people expressing their pain at this loss. All of the lives that V touched. It made them realise how it would happen in the real world. So, they went out and got the help they needed.
I’ll never say that games are just stupid bits of fun and entertainment, because while some games are about that. Some games, by the time you finish them stick with you. Maybe for the rest of your life.

It's interesting you went for the Corpo ending where V either chooses to sell their soul (literally) or go back to Earth knowing they're about to die while Arasaka still wins, compared to other endings where Arasaka ends up falling after a suppossed attack. A lot of players like to go for the "Happy Ending" with working with the Aldecaldoes as it ends with V leaving with the Nomads with their love interest and free from Night City. But I personally like the one where V becomes a Legend in Night City, what they always wanted. It does a great job of capturing the bittersweet nature of the ending, where V is now living the high life, but in the process is losing their connection to the people they love...that and I personally feel that ending (particularly when you decide to have Johnny and Rogue go to Arasaka) honestly provides more closure to Johnny and his relationship with V.

so far i`ve only done one playthrough and planning on a second one soon. Maybe i`ll do a third one just to cover all the paths options but we`ll see about that.
Ive done the Nomad start, and i got one of the ending that people refer as a "good one". I won`t do much spoilers tho, however.
First, immersiveness of a general gameplay when we literaly never leave the V\Jonny`s first person view, with a scene that shows off the character from a 3rd person had a real impact on me. Quite simple move, consistent trough the whole game, led to a massive effect for virtually 0 costs. (yes, i know we can drive in a 3rd person view but beyond that you dont see V outside of V`s head)
apart from that, the ending i got considered by many as one of the best ending, the most positive ones, and i haven`t followed any guides, just did what i thought.
While credits where rolling i`ve poured myself a glass of whiskey, and then immediately another one and another one, while listening to voice-mails. It was very interesting feeling, at the same time, refreshing and depressing. And it totally reassured me that we aren`t any sort of Chosen One, or any sort of Very Important Character. Night City didn`t died, corporations didn`t dissolved, crimes didn`t stopped and cops haven`t stopped from being corrupt either when we entered the City or when we left. It`s not a story, like a Witcher, whos actions and consequences have either changed or influenced the world. It`s a story about a character and that feeling of insignificance within it only highlights how important to understand about whom the story is, in my eyes.

I picked the exact same ending and immediately regretted it. I chose it because I didn’t want to put Rogue or more so Panam into more danger. I felt like the ending was something that V had to do themselves, conquer their own demons. I’ve been resistant to asking and receiving help for most of my life so it tracks that the ending I chose was exactly that. Anyways, I’m glad people are enjoying this game for what it is, not the mystic fantasy that was pitched so many years ago. This game was a victim of its own hype, coupled with an unfortunate release date. People got their expectations too high that there could never be any reaction to it but disappointment. And it was released right when the last generation of hardware couldn't support it, causing endless bugs.
I'm confident that if it had been quietly released in the middle of a console generation, it would be considered a masterpiece.

  • @majiel2709

This game is a masterpiece, even with it's flaws, but that's what makes every game or piece of art amazing, sadly the console gamers got the short end of the stick and dragged the games name through the non/but similarly textured mud in the gutter, and now most people won't give it a second nod, I myself struggled at first even on pc to find the right frequency you could say to play the game at, took some tweaking and experimenting but the game blew me away and have not regretted a moment, easily one of my favorites of all time, hands down. May Cyberpunk 2077 touch more of us and get the recognition it deserves.

Funny, I started following the game's development back around 2018....& it was the 48 minute playthrough from E3 that convinced me to buy the Witcher games-which I instantly fell in love with, BTW.
Despite that, even though I was hyped for CP2077, I never allowed that hype to get out of control. I was expecting a solid RPG, set in the world created by Mike Pondsmith, with CDPR's usual attention to creating great characters & an amazing story.....& that is precisely what I got, so I am 100% happy (I am even on my 2nd playthrough).
The other thing I feel confident of is that, unlike EA, Activision or Ubisoft, CDPR will support the game long-term, as they don't have a multi-studio, yearly release cycle like those other publishers.

The initial ending I picked fit so well to my initial V that I decided to replay the entire game five times over before playing the others, though not all one after the other: the anarchistic, ambitious street kid played the Star; the selfish ex-corpo mercenary played the Devil (and didn’t return to Earth); my current nomad romanced Panam and will naturally play the Sun; my next plan is to do an ex-corpo who grows a conscience following the Heist and play the secret ending and Temperance.

And who knows- maybe the DLC and expansions will blow expectations and amaze everyone, revitalizing the game into something special. Or maybe it won't- either way, Cyberpunk is... a good game. The story is meaningful, the characters emotional and real in a way few other games achieved. Yeah, it's buggy, but so is every Bethesda game, and people didn't complain about those bugs nearly as much.

Until this game came around. In my ending, there was this moment where i had this choice, i could leave my body to jhonny and trascend into an A.I and in time become a godlike ai like Alt. And fuck, i couldnt let myself die, a goddman game, made me feel like im still human, and i will hang onto life no matter what, and that for me was such a powerfull realization. I feel like most of the Hype around this game had 3 reasons.
    1) Keanu Reeves. Since every one has Been well kinda thirsting over Keanu for these last few years. People were really exited And with the E3 2018 "you're Breath taking" meme everyone knew about Cyberpunk 2077.
    2) The setting of the Cyberpunk world. There just weren't many Cyberpunk type games on the market in the modern days anymore. so people got exited to see this, Well let's be honest here 80's type of neon future setting. like blade runner but 10 times bigger and almost full interactable. And with Cyberpunk 2077 originally being A table top RPG like DND. people were exited to see it transfer to a Full video game.
And finally 3) CDPR them selves. With how big and detailed the Witcher 3 was people expected the same amount of Quality. But even more detailed worlds and deep and interesting side quest. Like the Witcher 3, But more Since this time CDPR had more Creative freedom since the game wasn't based off any books or existing Mythos.

I was lucky to have a next gen console ready to play and Cyberpunk was my first game on that beautiful Xbox Series X.
I had a blast with the game. I was hyped, but kept myself with relative low expectations because while I've heard a lot about CDPR and the pride of Poland , I haven't played their games at that time. So I didn't exactly know what to expect gameplay wise or storywise other than the sheer depth of which they seemed to like to write with.
Well what I've gotten was a beautiful, stylish world, full of references to Cyberpunk as a genre, wonderful vistas and about 120 hours in my first playthrough. Honestly there is so much to say on what CDPR got right, nailed it but also didn't and kinda dropped the ball on. But its hard to ignore what an ambitious game this really is.
I mean for starters the way the important dialogue happens in the game is a nice step forward for cinematic experiences. Its nothing new to have in engine cutscenes with characters talking, but when it comes to first person views, RPGs and dialogues; you're often put into little vaccums in a space where it seems only you and the NPCs excist in a space of their own and just staring at each other. Here however its far more natural. Its genuinly impressive and a detail that made the journey so much more fun and engaging. It felt like real conversations. Hope more games adapt this in the future.
Overall the gameplay is servicable and the power one can reach allows pretty much any build to be OP. it might get a little too easy even on higher difficulty levels but it was fun.
I hope this game gets the Witcher 3 treatment

my personal favorite ending was Don't Fear the Reaper. Sure yea you don't really accomplish much in terms of getting a better ending (wish you did.) but it what it means to V and Johnny. Johnny tried so desperatly to take out Arasaka with the best gear, best team, best everything and it FAILED hard. But V well V has nothing by the end of the game. Sure they got friends but friends their going to loose at some point in the future. Fame yea for whatever that's worth. It's quite litteraliy the path of most resistance for V, but you know what they say there's nothing scarier than the being with nothing left to loose, and you tear them APART, Piece by piece level by level. You might not get a different ending but your friends do, Rose gets to stay with her kid, Pannam gets to keep Soal, and Arasaka doesn't get what they want.
Meanwhile Johnny just gets to watch, in awe as the person he for most of the game has absolutely hated who has fought him on some fronts who he at one point saw as an Obstacle he needed to smash through. Well that obstacle is now doing something he himself never thought possible.
In order for there savlation they must walk through hell itself, and hell might not look like fire and brimstone. It may look like heaven itself but it's still hell and there's only two ways out. Carving a path towards the light letting no one stop you, or dying there gun in hand and on fire. But the one thing you must never do is let someone else die for you.

Wow you’re ending was VERY different from mine. Up in space??? And Yorinobu was still alive??? What the hell?? I didn’t know any of this because of my play through. I chose to be a nomad in the beginning and developed a romance with Panam. In the end I chose to assault the facility with Panam’s group of nomads and in the end chose to let Johnny take over because V was going to die anyway and he may as well give his friend a chance to live. So Johnny spent some quiet time and was helping a kid out and teaching him to play guitar, and even bought him a guitar. Then he went and payed his respects to V and left the city on a bus to go live a better life. The voicemails were panam being absolutely pissed that V isn’t responding and everyone was super sad because they didn’t know what was going on. Pretty sure one person knew Johnny took over and got pissed and chewed into Johnny about it, thinking he ripped V away. Damn. This game had a pretty decent story I’ll give it that. Sadly I played on an original Xbox One (advanced warfare edition tho), so it was SUPER buggy and textures were all over the place. There were many times where I was glitched and couldn’t pull out any weapons or just completely fell through the map. Still enjoyed it and finished it tho. Guess all my time playing VRChat got me used to the constant crashing

The worst ending by far will always ALWAYS be V choosing to kill themselves especially when it comes to the messages. Judy's scared me most of all when she said she can't do this anymore and the video cuts. You don't know what happens and for all you know she could have done the exact same. She lost her first lover to suicide and now her best friend/current lover to it as well so it only makes sense that she would feel pressured to just end things because you were her last reason to live or to leave night city and all the bad memories forever.

When I first started to play this game at launch I was very wary. I happened to only really know cyberpunk by name and only know its been a long 7 year wait for some fans. I watched very little anything about the game aside from like 1 gameplay video in August of last year. I felt like the game was lacking in that gameplay and I wasn't sure if I would really like it. Fast forward to launch and by now I just kinda had to play it. I needed to see what the hype was about. Though the game kinda chugged on my xbone s in the first opening hours I still pushed through. Next thing you know I thought I was just going at my own pace. And in like 3 days I'm at tye point of no return. I was the first of my friends. I was kinda pissed off. I'm not normally a side mission completionist but I try to do as much as I can in order to move onto other games or whatever is happening in life. But if you just do the main jobs and some side stuff here and there, then yea this games kinda donkey ass in my opinion. But the moment I said fuck the final mission and actually did all the side jobs and most wanted crimes. By the end the game changed for me. It was like the game despite the horrible bad bugs at times, was really one of the greatest games I have played. After the backlash of TLOU2 I just said fuck the haters and enjoyed my time in Night City. I cried at times. When I finally did my ending I chose to leave with Panam. I was a Street kid, who was tough but when the time came was willing to have a sweet side, I even was good pals with Johnny and got all of his clothes and gear. I loved every second of it. I hope that the game gets better from here on. Because underneath the crappy bugs and glitches there's a gem in here.

I got this game at launch on the base PS4, not even the Pro, on disc even. This was after TLOU2 bricked my machine and I had to replace the HDD, dunno if that affected my experience, but I had minimal bugs and only a few game crashes. Hell Outriders crashed more in its first weekend than Cyberpunk has in all the time I've had it. Absolutely loved this game. First run was male (with a vagina) V, did the Panam ending. (also can confirm that male with a vagina V, the sex scenes are animated as if he has a penis) Easily the best ending, though I don't know what the others entail.

I didn't want Cyberpunk to be the RPG that revolutionized RPGs. I didn't care about that.
I just wanted from it what I want from ALL games I pay around 60 dollars for.
FOR IT TO GODDAMN WELL WORK PROPERLY.
Seriously. For the longest time, CDPR put itself against other giants like Ubisoft for their refusal to launch a seriously buggy game like Ubi so often does, but this... this was a mess. other YTers have covered it in depth, but the game suffered from some of the worst mismanagement issues I've ever seen in the industry. Walling off every developer from one another, resource-wise, so that entirely new shaders were made that overlapped with one another and were entirely unnecessary, to say nothing of the ridiculous level of asset copying(Go around Night City and count the number of that one shop kiosk you see. Go on, you'll be at it for hours), buggy NPC issues even After the updates, half-assed bone-throws to try and sweeten the community with "Hey here have a reskin of a car" and "hey, you can buy another apartment that does literally nothing", to incredible failures in game geometry, map geometry, object placement, spawning rules for both cars and cops, vocal direction that feels right out of a jokey scene in a Saints Row game(seriously, if they weren't going a different and... bad... angle, they could have leaned into the cyberpunk side of things for a neverending well of silly satire that'd put Nyteblayde's satire of Buffy/Angel to shame) or new vegas, weird racist undertones throughout, and just a whole mess of other issues... This game will go down in history as being one of the worst cases of mismanagement that the industry has ever seen. It will likely be seen as a black mark on the creative profiles of EVERYONE involved, even those who deserve no fault, and in essence, it is just.. bad.
It's not just bad as a game, it's bad for the industry, it's bad for investor trust, and it's bad for consumer trust. And CDPR has YET to make it right.
