The Aho set spoke to me the most and will definitely be my choice for my next set. Thanks for the great videos.

This Podcast is really inspiring again.🙏 Thanks for the beautiful songs you played as soundsamples - thats why I like this channel so much. The Pono L-15 is looking and sounding nice and has a great sustain for a small body guitar. Looks very vintage 😍.
For me the Koolau Aho Strings and the Worth BM and the aNueNue Blackwater are pleasing my ear. The Worth BM and the aNue Nue Blackwater are sounding very similar - the aNueNue seems to be a bit clearer for me. The Koolau Alohi factory strings are nice too. All four string sets are sounding good on this Oli concert Uke - picked or strumed is both nice. So they are very versatile.
Thanks Andrew, Corey and Kalei for taking time to make this! Mahalo from Germany, Bettina

OK, I'm officially jazzed! Getting mentioned by name in my favorite podcast!!! I promptly dragged my wife in front of my computer and played the part where you guys mentioned meeting me. Thanks again for all you guys do and all the great music you provide. I'll be on the lookout for your next visit to Japan. :) And I will definitely try to get you guys a tour of the Gotoh factory. It's right in my neck of the woods!

I got my aNueNue concert from you, listening as you patiently gave me sound samples with a few different strings. My aNueNue is the spruce top concert, of course already with strings I liked…but over the phone who can really tell! I decided to have you send it with the original strings and last minute said “Let’s throw a low G on there.” So it arrived with UkeLogic low G, and I couldn’t be happier! (My 24 year old granddaughter plays a guitar and a ukulele. She recently moved back in town from out of state, heard my aNueNue the first time. Her response was “WOW!” Then “It’s so loud!” She really liked the sound of it, strumming or fingerstyle.) My koa Kamaka koa tenor was overdue new strings, and I recently had UkeLogic soft tension put on this one. Like the feel, the tone from that 2016 Anniversary Kamaka tenor. Doesn’t the wood and bracing have a good bit to do with sound from various strings?

I love watching you guys work out a song. So interesting. And always so good.
I am bummed that the entire time I was on Oahu, you were not. But I’m happy you had a good tour. Welcome back!
-> Here’s my question - Can you describe the difference between a double top and a laminated top?
Comparing the strings, I liked the Blackwater ones, too, especially picking, and pro’ly will now try them on my concert.
Thank you for all the music, guys. You’re the best.

thx so much Kit! The real stars were gone but at least I got to meet you! I know right on the aNueNue strings. Seriously considering that to be my stock set on the concert. And after meeting you, you're the best too!

@@HawaiiMusicSupplyTUS Ah, no, Andrew. I was so happy to meet you. You’re the star of stars. If you weren’t so good at what you do, they’d sound like they were playing in the shower, yah? You guy are all the best.

@@kithg as far the double vs laminate, i believe technically it's a laminate because double top will have nomex or something like that in between. sorry for the confusion

So beautiful guys as always. That Pono L15 guitar is so nice. The uke is amazing too.
Thinking of getting into guitar (I’m a ukester) but thinking a smaller guitar for my size. Is that a small size guitar? And what is the cost of that one please? ❤

theukulelesite.com/pono-mango-parlor-guitar-l-15-9631.html Yeah I think the mango top is perfect for what i like. Adds warmth to an already bright sound w a small body steel string guitar.

Mahalo friends, yall the best! Loved Lovefools 🔥🔥🔥 Seeing you turn it into a solo fingerstyle arrangement on the fly in seconds and also realize the issues you'll face when your dueting just so fast...makes my head spin 😵‍💫🙌 For strings I've only tried aho and uke logic soft on my lattice Pono, but the Aho works really well for my softer touch I think, great tone and volume for a soft touch. I've kept it on my 'Oli too! But I play wish flesh and not nails also I guess!
I think your titles are great, but I'm a goofball and I enjoy candid line titles a lot too. Yall have a lot of great candids. This could be titled "Corey introduces us to fresh new artist John Mayer" or maybe something goofy like that or a direct quote if you want to take them from something you say? Dunno, massage the idea if it doesn't stink 😆
All the love! All hail the AL Gore Rhythms overlords

Well...ya know, I cut 10 minutes into three, but yeah, I love watching it happen too. It's like that meme with all the formulas around someone's head. I love the sound of aho too but I think other sets can be more forgiving. Right now I'm between the alohi and the blackwater for the concert. Might see if aNueNue will adjust a few things for me and just use that. Thx for spurring the fun segment/ arrangement. ❤🤙🏼

I don’t know why people use those strings that sound like squeaky sneakers on a basketball court.

    • @HawaiiMusicSupplyTUS
      @HawaiiMusicSupplyTUS  5 місяців тому +1

ahh yeah those transient sounds often get accentuated by recording mics too. W low g it's just to get a more equal balance and sustain. Usually being a week or two old atleast helps as the squeek dies away quite a bit.
