When you guys add the tips in playing it really helps us all try even harder. Because of your advice we can actually accomplish things quicker, much mahalo and aloha!
After a long hard day... chillin' with & listening to you all talk, and create Such Beautiful music, is like discovering a restful & sustaining oasis! Mahalo!
You guys are the best! I play along with you on my Kanile'as, a 2021 platinum tenor, my slightly older super tenor, and sometimes on my baritone. I am just now learning about the 'ukulele as a musical instrument.
In the past I played guitar - both acoustic and electric. I first learned to play guitar in the mid-1960s by playing regularly with a group of senior students from the University of British Columbia Music School in Vancouver, Canada. Since we improvised for many hours at a time several times a week, my musical eduction was mostly based on what they had learned.
In the same way, you are helping me to build my 'ukulele chops. Every day I thank you and the internet for this new way to learn an instrument by building on the skills of more experienced musicians - even if they live and play many miles away. Thanks to your regular on-line sessions we shrink the Pacific Ocean to a puddle. If I miss a lesson or need more hours, I just 'go round' again until I begin to 'get it right'.
Thanks to you all for your playing, your recordings, and all your 'ukulele tips! Diane Kehoe, Ladner, BC, (just a little east of Hawaii)
I love these “concerts.” Andrew we cannot thank you enough let us hear the fantastic instruments by master musicians. Also, thanks Corey and Kalei for the mini lessons. Bob Dowell, Radcliff, Kentucky.
Agree 💯
Intro thriller was crazy, so impressive.
Hello Andrew, Kalei and Corey, what a joy - escpecially 37:52 - with the jam over "Under da tree / Under the See and Feliz Navidad" and the words about "gift and present" 😊 1 Hour and 40 Minutes full of music, interessting conversation about strings and wonderful Ukes had brought really good vibes to me and the world! 🌐Thanks again to all of you and the time you put into it to let us be a part of the Ukulele Community! Take care and be blessed from Germany, Bettina
P.S. Have got the Koaloha Longneck Soprano, bought from Andreas David (Gute Ukulele) here in Germany and I love It!!!!! Have got the modell with the direct Tuners on it.
I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH ! You always manage to brighten even the greyest days . MAHALO !
"You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo.
You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll
Right before your eyes,
We'll pull laughter from the skies"
The discussion near the end about musicality, is wonderful. And yes, less is more….mahalo for all of this.
Thanks guys for another late one in your time zone. Grand Master Oogway section made my day. That would be a hit in any comedy sitcom, perfect delivery. Corey and Kalei, listen to Master Andrew’s guidance. You are so talented, you are so definitely talented to write for film scripts. The way you can anticipate, relate emotion and appreciate each others knowledge of their craft. which conveys through the way you play, captured by Andrew. Magic. From your pleasure of playing, it really enthuses others. Am sure we all pick up our ukes after watching. Still saving for my D series Kanilea, damn they’re gorgeous. Happy and peaceful week to all.
Such gorgeous instruments and sound with the Kanile’a D’s, redwood. Beautiful playing. Good discussions. Kalei, you were playing, causing your instrument to weep with the high notes.
I love this channel so much!
Aloha guys. Loved loved what you did in that jam! You’re both amazing 🤩 can’t stop listening… 🎼 ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
💯👌🏽
Listening to this on Christmas Eve 2021 - what a treat! Absolutely nailed it guys - Mahalo! All my Christmases in one!
Brilliant - the moqi (默契) between you two is incredible.
Thank you , always :)
Thank you so much Andrew for these fabulous videos. They are always one of the highlights of my week. Corey and Kalei have such incredible musical rapport. Such skilled musicians.
"See the show!
Performing on a stool
we've a sight to make you drool
Seven virgins and a mule
Keep it cool. Keep it cool."
Just got a DR-T, put a set of worth browns w a fremont soloist low G and it sounds great! Reduces the low g buzz from the stock low G especially for strumming. Great instruments, great content. Thanks
Yes - that was majorly cool. Super funk. And good info, and funny, too. Great music, as always, guys, thank you.
Love you, too, Andrew.
I second all of the praise, I so look forward to setting aside a quiet moment to enjoy your music and company!
awesome stuff guys.
The music here wuld make a wonderful CD!
I like the feeling of getting off the plane in Hawaii. I describe it as getting back into the fishbowl.
Great video. Happy Halloween and Boooooo!
Very interersting discusion on strings on Kanilea ukuleles. I owen different Kanileas. I think, the aquila strings are a good choice for baritone and tenor but NEVER on concert or sopranos. They don't have enough tensoin for this type of ukulele. On sopranos and concerts I prefere fluorcarbon strings (Worth clear)
Channeling Michael... LOL
