Smithsonian National Zoological Park

We visited the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington, D. C. on September 25, 2016. As part of the Smithsonian Museum it is free. It is one of the oldest zoos in the USA and I would rate it as a large 8 - one of the top 5 zoos in the nation. I would highly recommend visiting Washington, D. C. just to see it, but obviously there is much more to see. We spend a day here and about 2 weeks in Washington itself.
