  • No one will believe how quick it is to knit and you will appreciate what your hands have made with just scrap yarn and a crochet hook!! A SUPER EASY crochet baby hat pattern with measurements for ALL SIZES WINTER BEANIE HAT for 3-6M baby boys and girls. You can crochet this basic crochet baby hat pattern smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and making it in the exact same way as this tutorial (see below) with same stitch count and number of rows along with the measurements provided in the tutorial from a preemie size and up to an adult size. Just remember that these sizes are not exact since not all babies are the same size and since tension varies from person to person which can affect the final size. I am making one for my 8 yr old grandson. I’m using 4 ply yarn and a size G hook. Keep increasing until your crown is 6 1/2 inches and then continue pattern with no more increases. I’m going to try it on him before I put on the border

    • @janicewardwell2048
      @janicewardwell2048 28 днів тому

      I found the 6 1/2 crown was way too big. I think a 5 inch worked much better

    Hi - I crocheted the hat but the hat did not progress to a dome-shape thus it remained flat, even after I started the edge of front-and-back post single crochet! What did I do wrong? I was using DK yarn and size 6-9 months. Thank you.

      Fr it happend to me to its so annoying when we spend so much time and at the end it just doesn’t work

    • @kayfranklin7559
      @kayfranklin7559 5 місяців тому

      Did you continue to increase? How many stitches round did you have before working the brim?
      Once you reach the desired crown size ie 13 cm work the same amount of stitches round, ie 72

    So if I were to sell the hat i made using your pattern online...i would just put in the description where the pattern came from? What if i changed how i did the hat and just used your video to finally understand how to crochet a hat? Before watching your video, I never truly understood. Thank you for sharing this with us.

    I have tried this hat but I can't get it into a hat shape mine turns out a large circle,I have watched your video many times but can't see where I'm going wrong😢

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  3 місяці тому +1

      You need to stop increasing once you get to the size of the head circumference. S
      Once you have that measurement stop increasing and simply continue with that same stitch count and the hat will start to take shape. Watch the tutorial carefully. Instructions are all there.

    I followed the measurements for child but it was too big 😞 Starting over again maybe making a row less, hope it's gonna work

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  Місяць тому +1

      It could be your tension. One les row for the crown will definitely help. Good luck 👍

      Slow the video on UA-cam settings. If I go any slower then it’ll be a two hour long tutorial which I’m sure no one will watch for a simple hat 😅
