A lot of people
Yah it's always been weird to meet people with "ADHD" who've got amphetamines and they talk about how they need it to be productive and alert and focused; they're not even aware that this isn't how it works and they're taking amphetamines with a misdiagnosis. I don't take the stuff but it slows me down and makes me calm, I don't want to talk a bunch or clean my house with a toothbrush, I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was young and these drugs effect me a lot different from almost ALL the people I've met who take them for "ADHD". IDK man maybe they have ADD and lethargy or something and could benefit from them that way, but they say it's ADHD. Oh well, I'm just glad that my mother refused to put me on ritalin and/or amphetamines when I was SEVEN YEARS OLD. Got a friend who's child is like 10 and is taking something like 60mg Vyvanse... welp, I'm sure THAT won't have any long term impact. Don't even get me started on the people who need you to believe them when they tell you their 120mg a day of Adderall isn't having any significant impact on their bodies.
Wait, how are amphetamines supposed to work for people with ADHD?
@@jonathanalpart7812 Adderall is an amphetamine prescribed for ADHD. I can't explain the biochemical reason it's used that way. Crazy, ain't it?
Keep. Preaching. I've been on the adhd subreddit just trying to talk sense into any person I see who is questioning their diagnosis. It's a serious plague right now
@@jonathanalpart7812 because amphetamine mimics dopamine in the brain, basically people with adhd have a dopamine deficiency. a lot of ppl trashing it as a party drug, which some abuse it as one BUT adderall & inner work took me from a 330lb miserable slob to a 160lb loving, productive person!
@@__Nicholas__ yes that clearly non humorous reply of mine is my attempt at making a joke. im not sure where your comment was steering us if not towards an argument? so sorry you had a meth problem now got sober but still have that deep itch, that sheer dopamine threshold you hope to work your way up (but never will) by arguing w ppl in youtube comments about their meds.
Maybe let the kids go outside and play? Mom’s terrified of kidnappers and Daddy’s just there to support whatever…. Your kids are going stir crazy.

They tried to prescribe me all these wierd drugs for anxiety besides what I actually needed. I always had a anxiety feeling in my chest snd had problem sleeping . After 6 or 7 meds not ment for anxiety I finally talked my doctor into a light benzo "klonapin "and sleep aid saraquil . These dont effects my mood or my functionality in every day life. They just take away the anxious feeling and I go on with my day feeling normal .
Seroquel is an antipsychotic
Your only supposed to take seroquel for up to 2 years. It messes with blood sugar and mental stability.
Yeah wait until you stop taking them you’ll know all about it
"Imagine a society that subjects people to conditions that make them terribly unhappy, then gives them the drugs to take away their unhappiness. Science fiction. It is already happening to some extent in our own society. Instead of removing the conditions that make people depressed modern society gives them antidepressant drugs. In effect antidepressants are a means of modifying an individual's internal state in such a way as to enable him to tolerate social conditions that he would otherwise find intolerable."
Theodore Kaczynski
Those are heavy medications that can cause severe life threatening side effects if stopped without properly tapering... just stay informed. Don't take yourself off without a doctor. I tried and had a grand mal seizure.
Ssri are ruining the planet, tim is correct.
I lived and saw this on a deep level.

Prozac has drain cleaner in it. It’s a stuffed up world
I wish I was American so I could sue my old psychiatrist. Bastard put me on strong antipsychotics for anxiety and depression since I was 15. I was on that junk for 7 years until I found out that I was never supposed to be on them.
Now I find myself suffering from brain damage and life has never been so hollow. If only Tim could represent me in court 😪
@@dimadmitrov2615 Holy shit, 13 is a incredibly young age to be on that stuff! I'm so sorry to hear that. The side effects I have include lethargy, appetite loss ( I basically live off half a meal a day), my cognitive abilities were seriously shot, memory problems, dizziness and vertigo, nausea, anhedonia, loads of dissociation, and basically feeling dead inside at all times. It doesn't help that he prescribed me Prozac as his last parting shot lol.
Which side effects did you have? And are you feeling better?
@@somnolentverve2183 oh my I'm so sorry about that. Where are you from?
Damn! 13?! Ugh! I was put on something because I did not like where I was living, and had a reaction to it that put me into a full blown coma. That stuff is scary.

God has given humanity all that it needs to help them get thru tough shit in their life: weed and shrooms. Weed helps get me thru the day and the little everyday annoyances and shrooms helped me to sort out deep-rooted issues I had that were lurking in the dark corners of my mind and soul aka the ACTUAL causes of my depression. Look up Carl Jung and what he says about everybody’s “shadow” I think you’ll find it interesting.

I have been on adderall since I was in elementary school. I’m 34 now, I still take them. BUT, I do not think kids should ever be on anti depressants. She was clearly on gabapentin.
Anyone notice that the rates of kids on perscription drugs has corresponded to the rates of single mothers and those mothers on scrip drugs?
As a certified 8 year old please give us all the drugs.

My nephew with aspergers was placed on psych meds during covid. We had kids every night in the ER for psych issues during covid, by the way. Anyway, in my experience, psych drugs given to people, like me, who don't have a psych disorder the medication is made for, will make you crazy. I got mania, and worse, from SSRIs. He ended up on more meds because of course the meds made him worse. Luckily, I told him not to take them, but he had already stopped taking them. The kid was depressed. He didn't have depression. Ffs.

I was prescribed adderall in 9th grade, and all i wanted to do is play video games. It may have been what caused me to be epileptic, its what my doctor says.

Hey doc, my arm is on fire! Should I put out the fire, you know address the cause of the pain?
No! Here are some narcotics so you don’t feel the pain anymore.

Ah hell hes got to be one of the realist comedians ive discovered since George Carlin passed away. Just something my uncle told me once on a almost conspiracy theory revelation vibe that the steady supply of meds and drugs flushed down the toilets and sinks travel right back into the water supply and never get filtered out lol the weed was weedin and the crank was cranking in that moment he appeared so serious i almost stopped picking up rocks...
