I have a 2017 and love it This is much more reliable than my GS was...Not as fast but every bit as comfortable, I'm 62 and can bang out 500 miles a day on it

Hm, if the seat height adjustment is supposed to sway me from my R1200GS...why would they have a separate piece of rubber to move? The BMW has it integrated into the seat.

The first time I saw Tenere, The impression was like, My god! It's huge! But riding it for one minute was enough to become nicely surprised with the gap between the heavy look and the exceptional maneuverability of this machine and your video is translating just that!

@@NunyaBusiness... I’ve had it for 3 years, I love it, it’s a do anything bike. It’s been really reliable also just oil changes and I push it hard.

@@pappaclutch3266 Wait, the comment saying you were "buying one tomorrow" says it's only 10 months old. I'm confused.
Doesn't really matter, I guess, but I'm glad to hear you are liking the bike. I'm working toward getting my hands on one. Seems like the ultimate jack of all trades. The only thing I think I'd want more would be an 800-1000cc shaft driven ADV bike that weighs 500 ish pounds, but that doesn't exist from a Japanese manufacturer. Moto Guzzi is the closest with the V85TT but it's an air-cooled flying V, so it's just too quirky for me. That, and Italian bikes aren't really known for reliability.

just rode the bike as a beginner... (I m 5 foot 7 woman).. great bike to ride ... lots of power, a bit heavy for me but very comfortable riding... I m thinking about getting a Tenere for next riding season... or one from NC 700 series from Honda... I like both !!

One thing I bet, the Super T is cheaper to maintain. I was a life long Beemer owner, not any more. It became stupid expensive.
Still in the BMW ciub but most of us have gone to Triumphs cuz we are old and miss our youth........No we just like other bikes more.

  • @MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV

That would certainly be a contender. I think the future of adventure, in Australia, South Africa and Mid West of America are big singles more purpose built for adventure. The big old blokes who like cruising around on the black top, thinking they are adventure motorcyclists will stick to the big bikes.....and I don't mean cubes, I mean weight.....around 200 kgs.

There are too many good big bikes out there now to just pick the bmw r1200gs, because it's the king. King's come and go and with current competition from Ducati, Triumph, Yamaha and now KTM with the 1190 I think there is more than one heir to the throne. Then you have the little princes in waiting ....the big singles.
