I love the forearm forklift! Complete gamechanger.
Yes
Brilliant tip, thanks pal. From an English chap just about to put new white goods in my kitchen with a hard wood floor.
Super impressed with those forearm forklifts
I still use them very often
Regular homeowner here, they are wonderful :)
@@FloorsbySouthernboysI went and bought a pair because I know I’ll be using them at some point…
Excellent Video, goes over alot more ....like water hookup !
😀👍
Great tip Other videos I watched wanted me to go buy something You gave me what I needed thank you
👍
Nice job. Wide open area it's easy to maneuver appliances, I always seem to get 30in doorways to get a 32in fridge out of, have to slide it sideways on a moving blanket most times
Great tips and great job, gents. Your knee pads look like pure luxury!

Hey Southern Boys, thanks so much, from a Northern Girl!!
Always easier with help! I do it myself and have to get pretty creative sometimes
i hear you i went for over a year with no help
I made some jacks that go underneath n have two wheels on each jack then I strap them together around the fridge n they lift up about 3-4 inches off the ground n I can wheel it around anywhere.. people always say there’s no way u can move it by yourself.. I’m a small guy n I go in a move huge fridges China cabinets etc in a few minutes like nothing 😂 they sell some similar but I made my own that sit directly on the floor initially so I barely have to get what I’m moving picked up at all.. n fridges I don’t have to lean it or anything to get underneath.. they slip right under each side n u strap them around it together then I have a little bar that I use to jack it in there 3-4 inches..
Good tip! My partner bought an air sled. That thing was nice and handy.
jakestoe Yes sir they are really nice
Brilliant- thanks for the help boys!
You’re welcome
You saved me a trip to the store! I am installing luxury vinyl plank so I will be using those scrap pieces instead. Thanks for the tip!
Awesome, good luck with your project
Really good and concise. A real pro.
john ward 😀👍
Nice! I’ve always used strips of luan in the past, but the thin LVP is a really good idea.
👍🏻 I Usually use the 4 foot appliance sled pads with the handles, or a dolly or combination of both. I seen you had some in your van also in the last video.
CarpetMan yes sir 👍
Great tips!
Gold Coast Flooring | Carpet & Tile Care Thanks Nick
Thank you gentlemen
impressive thank you
Thank you , thats what i needed to know
😀👍
$40 dolly from HF also makes a lot of things easier. Nice tip with the flooring.
You truly are the best! Thank you
thank you ma'am
Do American fridges not have to be left for a few hours after moving before they're plugged in? In UK the coolant has to settle for 5 - 8 hours or you end up with a tepid fridge.
Only if you lay them on their side. If you keep it up right, there is no problems.
Good tips.
😀👍
That's a great idea!
Have you ever seen an air sled? Best thing I ever bought. Basically turns any appliance into a hovercraft.
yes sir they are great
@@FloorsbySouthernboys we agree!
How do I lay laminate under a removable gas stove? It's attached by a chain and pipe at the wall so it can only move out a certain distance to get behind and clean etc.
You have to disconnect the gas and move it completely out, otherwise you can adjust the front legs up on the stove and the back legs down and only put it under the front of the stove so that it appears to be all the way under, or you can pull it out far enough to drop a board down behind where it will lay flat to get the back legs on that board and then install your flooring under the front That will also keep it level
Amazing
thank you
There is a clip on the water supply tube that should have been attached to the fridge to keep the tube off of the floor.
so much better than buying $50 piece of plastic. I can just use my old flooring that I am getting rid of!
YUP
Brilliant I’m getting Lino fitted tomorrow morning, and moving the appliances back in was worrying me a bit but after this video am sorted 👍
😀👍
How do you do ot by yourself
nice
Nifty. 😀😀😀
thanks Corey
without help i use unilifts and create a trail to roll on with vinyl planks
Stephen Boyd That’s what I used to do when I was by myself
I do the same. But i use a dolly because i work by my self
frijolito2123 Yeah that’s what I’m down for over a year, while I was working by myself
@@FloorsbySouthernboys where can i find your link to amazon

Did you remove the quarter round before installing the vinyl?
James Lick yes sir
How about non mickey mouse problems .I just can't get my problem - on how 2 remove elec stove from cemented floor?! (Feels like it!)can I use crowbar , + chisel?? Any body had this problem!!??
Yes, pry it up under the legs, sometimes it will get stuck from grease and such
Teflon tape???
huh ??
👍
Jerrid Hawkins, u put down da binel?
For da red mammoth?
We own red mammoth yes
Lol jerrid. I'm your biggest fan. Is uncle rocky catching on? Is he getting you lined out?
straps are mandatory to protect your floors
Daniel Sherman they sure make life easier
Just a suggestion...if you have a gas stove..I would highly recommend replacing the gas flexible line and differently have a licensed professional install the stove.
You will have a bad day if you have a gas leak...just saying.
William B yup
Just tape the line to the back of the machine.
Just get a Crain air lifter
Hm....i can see doing this heavy lifting everyday wearing out a few body joints eventually. I suppose i can see paying appliance delivery guys extra...just like the much glamorized (and paid more) piano movers.
Airsled
ahoron Those are nice
Bad back. What bad back? 🤔😬
#1 your a floor installer you shouldn’t be touching any water lines.#2 why didn’t you use masonite board to slide the frig back , not all fridges will be that lite
