hey amy, it's a brave decision to make to go back on antidepressants. myself and my mum are the same as you - convinced that it makes a difference right away, it's not just a build up for us. I want to leave a comment and say that, while of course it is fine to realise that anti depressants aren't right for you long term, your goal doesn't have to be to come off them if they help you. it's okay to be reliant on a prescription drug for your quality of life. you are not a failure no matter how this turns out.
If you'll remember Amy I explained how my brother went on antidepressants after his divorce, that when I asked did they help, his responce was yes and no, yes as in he was able to perform everyday tasks/work but no because he now felt numb i.e. he didn't experiance happy or sad he just was. At the time you had not long been back from Europe and was still feeling euphoric from the pills and you discounted my story out of hand, it saddens me to now hear your also experiencing that numb feeling, I wish I had some sound advice but not having experienced it myself I am at a loss, I just wish you well on your journey and hope some info comes your way that can help.🌹 Brandon
@@Kicacanalong exactly how i been feeling, but sometimes the numbness feels better than the pain i had before ❤️🩹 the numbness has been getting better tho
i had 2 problems in life one was body issue and 2nd was personal career issue. i solved one issue by risky surgery. then i thought now i will stay happy. but nothing worked out bcz of career issue. now i am not able to work bcz i'm tired to keep myself happy. i feel depressed everytime. i was very workholic person. now i have no option i will go with antidepressent.
I lost your heart lol was editing my wording as I often do with ADHD and apparently as you were reading my other post and no I dont need the validation I just hope my pre edited version came across ok, Brandon
Hi, what dosage are you on? I've been on 10mg Lexapro for over 20 years. Sometime I lower it but after a few weeks my mood becomes so low and my anxiety so high I end up back on the 10mg.
@amydefe I recently when down to 5mg but after eleven weeks I upped it back to 10mg. I have a holiday coming up and didn’t want it spoiled, I probably would have held out longer otherwise. I always end up back on the 10mg eventually though.
Just remember you’re not alone.. we’re here for you
