Sloppy, sloppy sloppy. Then 5 mins later you see Mox reach for the gimmick and get colour too....I give up.
The thing is, Jim, Moxley did this garbage wrestling shit before he got the big time job and was hired by the reputable organization. He's upset that WWE didn't allow him to do it....the closest was his Mania match against Brock (what a shit show that was and it wasn't Brock's fault)
I remember in IWA Puerto Rico, where he lost the hardcore title belt to Amazona. To be fair she's like an imperial 5'11 or 6 even, and it was mainly to establish her as the star of their soon to be created women's division, but that's what Moxley Mox was. A tag team wrestler who occasionally did garbage matches to put someone over, including the future women's champion. I remember he needed outside interference to beat Tiny Tim, and got stabbed in the balls by Jimmy Jacobs, and didn't get all the hype about him signing with WWE.
Both wrestlers were less than subtle about getting their colour - Lance Archer immediately reached for his blade on his wrist when he took the DDT on the floor - it was so obvious what he was doing that I knew he would be bleeding before he got back up!
If Renee Young had any sense she'd give Moxley an ultimatum, "No more of this garbage, or you're divorced." Seeing people bloody themselves is not entertainment unless you're a sick puppy.
So they had a Fan (probably a plant) being thrown as a weapon and Moxley blades right in front of the Camera. I know why AEW has multiple Botch Videos and WWE doesn't because the people in WWE are PROS.
@@polojuice2432 What I'm saying is that Santino did choose to be there because he was a member of the roster before being challenged by Umaga. Plants are paid performers that agree to take a bump as a fan to enhance the experience for everyone else.

Moxley needs to do this because he knows that he'll always be Dean Ambrose. Anything that distances himself from Ambrose in order for Moxley to establish himself with his own name. It's hard to do that given the success of the Shield.
Well, bad wrestling is certainly a way to do that. Pathetic looking striking, disrespectfully obvious blading and otherwise crappy indy spots are good ways to look like less of a star than Roman Reigns, and to a lesser extent, Seth Rollins. He was so good in the early days of the Shield; now he just looks sloppy.
I can't believe Moxley actually pulled out a blade out in the open and literally just have himself color. Without any regard to being discrete or respectful to the reputation of the business ... oh right, it's AEW 😩.
You know what's funny? A lady in the UK is pissed wwe makes a break away ambulance for their toy line, but aew has fake ass death matches and not one person is like what the hell? Except us here in the cult of cornette lol
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Karrion Kross, undefeated NXT champion, lost in 2 minutes against Jeff Hardy during his Raw debut. And Jim didn't say shit. Smh.
I had to laugh when the match winning ten count was a hell of a lot quicker than the ref a couple of weeks ago doing a 10 count for mjf/sammy guevara’s main event after sammy did the dive into the crowd
@@VoodooGhouls No such thing. All these rules are made up. A promotion can alter or make up whatever they want. It's just entertainment. No governing body of fake wrestling rules is gonna intervene over a Texas Death Match or Last Man Standing match.
Yeah. Ok. Cool. I don’t doubt you are correct about that. But seriously... why TF do I constantly have to do research online to understand what is going on in AEW? Isn’t Dynamite their flagship show? Why can’t they explain what I need to know on the F’ing show?!! Why is it expected that people will go elsewhere to find answers instead of just switching off the TV? Makes no sense.
@@Exiled_Rouge The fact that pro-wrestling matches are pre-determined doesn't exclude the fact that logic still needs to be involved. If a match is promoted as a Texas Deathmatch, then it should logically be performed under actual deathmatch rules and not Last Man Standing rules.
@@decepticonxhunter4850 That doesn't preclude logic. There is no "actual"- that is a fllacy. The rules are entirely and always have been made up. There is nothing to stop a promotion from altering rules that were given elsewhere or making their own. "Actual" doesn't exist. There is no objective standard in entertainment.
Every other Moxley match involves some kind of extreme, barbed wire match of some kind. His promos are great but his matches are always average imo, which is probably why he involves weapons in virtually every one of his matches, to hide the fact he cant have good wrestling matches with rules unless it involves Seth Rollins.
I disagree with Jim on Archer getting over - I don't think he can. This guy worked in both TNA and wwe, was a flop in both and no one was missing him while he worked over in Japan. Now you see him doing this stuff with Moxley and it makes sense as he's an idiot. Teaming with Jake isn't going to help when Archer isn't smart enough to know how to build himself up.
Exactly, you guys all get it. If he had any talent, he would have been a big deal in either wwe or TNA - someone would have pushed him. But he wasn't because he isn't that good. Look at Big Cass - he was a bit of a joke act in wwe but Impact is pushing him and it works because he has something but Archer never had that and his murderhawk gimmick is just silly.
The thing is that they're defending the IWGP United Statis EP United States championship and and I have not seen a credible IWGP wrestler since they brought over that belt
The camera showed Archer reaching into his armband for the razor.. then later it showed him on his stomach doing it with his hand. he needs to hide a bit better..
There’s a movement going on amongst the non-WWE promotions to try to recreate the territory days of wrestling. So, Kenny being the belt collector is sort of like the modern version of the NWA champion. Except of there being one unified belt, there are many disparate belts being advertised on the most viewed shows. It’s supposed to draw more eyes to the minor promotions. Sort of makes more sense than competing for an illegitimate belt like the FTW title.
Moxely can say he wanted to be Pillman, he wanted to be Stone Cold all he wants. His entire adult life he's wanted to be Nick Gage. The guy did the death match wrestling, got himself addicted to drugs but got himself on the otherside of that. When he went to the E he showed he could be serious, cut a promo and halfway work. When he went to Japan he showed he could do a more physical style than the goofy stuff he was doing. Now that he's in AEW with no one filtering his ideas he's back to being Nick Gage....hopefully minus the drugs or I don't see his lovely wife sticking around.

Hahahahhahaa. Even the lifting paradigm shift look like butterfly suplex
He should have just wrestled Marko Stunt with more light tubes, then it's text book modern wrestling
Moxley was done after SCSA called him out on his podcast.
What do you mean?
DEAN
Dude just say Steve Austin everyone knows who that is lol
Did all of Gage's shit???
C'mon Jim, they didn't even bust out the light tubes or pizza cutter
Gage sucks and so does moxely garbage wrestling
Aew doing all these death matches, is gonna bite them on the ass pretty soon
I ended up fast forwarding this match, Its too ECWish for me
Why?
@@jasonlamar457 they like old school wrestling only. Stuck in the past like Cornette lol
Both wrestlers were less than subtle about getting their colour - Lance Archer immediately reached for his blade on his wrist when he took the DDT on the floor - it was so obvious what he was doing that I knew he would be bleeding before he got back up!
If Renee Young had any sense she'd give Moxley an ultimatum, "No more of this garbage, or you're divorced."
Seeing people bloody themselves is not entertainment unless you're a sick puppy.
Yeah renee actually loves moxley.
Makes me really wonder how Nick Gage is gonna do against Jericho...
He's gonna make chris a bloody pig But still chris Win in wtf was that finish.
@@benjamin0089 I hope TK isn’t crazy enough to have Jericho do the favors for Nick Gage

Mud Show Elements combine with the fact that Dominos is furious with that match
Nick Gage should be all "You stole my bit!" like Moe when he killed the original Alfalfa.
Luckily Alfalfa was an orphan that was owned by the studio.
See I'm glad I wasn't the only one who got confused by the rules of this match. Here I thought I was confusing a Texas Deathmatch with something else.
So they had a Fan (probably a plant) being thrown as a weapon and Moxley blades right in front of the Camera. I know why AEW has multiple Botch Videos and WWE doesn't because the people in WWE are PROS.
The only good thing that came from this match was Hakus son I’ve seen him in New Japan Strong he has potential
Definitely. Gonna be very excited to see him vs Archer.
Hikuleo appearing on Dynamite was probably the best thing about that episode of Dynamite.
@@decepticonxhunter4850 one of the better debuts on dynamite
He's got the look, how's he in the ring and on the stick?
@@TheAnarkiwi Good in the ring. Pretty athletic. His promos are lacklustre. He has charisma but promos are meh
Mox has an Indy vibe in him . So does Tony . That’s why they get along 😂. The match was Indy all over it . Jim and Brian spot on
"It has no legitimate usage in the real world for anything" made me bust out laughing
You can't even use it as a weapon like you can with a bat wrapped in bared wire🤣 Its only for hurting/mutilating yourself
Every promotion uses plants. Santino Marella was a plant that was picked to face Umaga because he already signed a contract with WWE.
@@polojuice2432 What I'm saying is that Santino did choose to be there because he was a member of the roster before being challenged by Umaga. Plants are paid performers that agree to take a bump as a fan to enhance the experience for everyone else.
Jim-"Moxley got a fork from catering"😂😂😂😂😂
Ive been waiting for this review...let the laughs begin
They should get 30 guys. Every 60 seconds one comes out in Jimmy Cuckette's bedroom and they all line up to f his wife. You just hope to be number one and not the last one. Just like a Rumble...book it!! And then let Cuckette do a podcast and tell everybody how bad it was.
That chokeslam that Moxley took on top of those chairs was idiotic beyond belief.
All they need is that overrated bum John Zandig & they'll be all set. Moxley has fallen so far off the totem pole its not even funny
And Moxley is a guy who's wife has just had a kid.let me jeopardize my paycheck by doing dumb crap.
Why call them death matches when there's no death? Atleast people died on celebrity death match *sarcasm*
This review is already better than the match itself!
There in lies the problem.
I can't believe Moxley actually pulled out a blade out in the open and literally just have himself color. Without any regard to being discrete or respectful to the reputation of the business ... oh right, it's AEW 😩.
“A bloated corpse!” Omg I’m dead 😂
Another routine “Luke Warm” Jon Moxley match. It’s like he’s allergic to in ring wrestling.

Archer also went for his blade in an obvious manner
You can tell they never saw any of Mox’s early work 😂
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Karrion Kross, undefeated NXT champion, lost in 2 minutes against Jeff Hardy during his Raw debut. And Jim didn't say shit. Smh.
He does, in another video.
@@johnnyzamora8190 If it's the 4 minute video where Jim explains why they did it. He went easy on them and didn't say shit.
Backyard Wrestling goes mainstream.
Keep in mind this is what he wanted to do with Brock lesnar, and Brock lesnar responded with a Brock lesnar
They have overdone all this hardcore shit.
Once I would have been shocked, then the next time I merely winced, and now I just don't care any more.
They are an Indy company with a budget and a tv deal which is why even more surprising that cm punk and Daniel Bryan sign with aew
I had to laugh when the match winning ten count was a hell of a lot quicker than the ref a couple of weeks ago doing a 10 count for mjf/sammy guevara’s main event after sammy did the dive into the crowd
The match was held under NJPW rules for a Texas Deathmatch. NJPW released a statement prior on the stipulations for the Mox vs. Archer match.
If it's not exactly as Jim described, it's not a Texas Deathmatch. It's a Last Man Standing Match
The AEW fans would never start a riot...they're too effeminate
If the headline didn't say Jon Moxley, i'd assume it was Erick Rowan
I disagree with Jim on Archer getting over - I don't think he can. This guy worked in both TNA and wwe, was a flop in both and no one was missing him while he worked over in Japan. Now you see him doing this stuff with Moxley and it makes sense as he's an idiot. Teaming with Jake isn't going to help when Archer isn't smart enough to know how to build himself up.
THANK YOU!!!

@@darrengordon-hill NEVER
Exactly, you guys all get it.
Even Super humman doesn’t do as much shit as Jon
I didn’t know Japan had its own form of Texas death match

Moxley should have been the biggest thing going. I dunno if it’s him, AEW, or it was too late but he never ran with the ball like he should of.
The thing is that they're defending the IWGP United Statis EP United States championship and and I have not seen a credible IWGP wrestler since they brought over that belt
Because you’re blind
This is exactly what I hate about aew all matches look like repeat or automation.
Still better than WWE
The camera showed Archer reaching into his armband for the razor.. then later it showed him on his stomach doing it with his hand. he needs to hide a bit better..
Why are they wrestling for another company's belt?

@Toby Montana I have no idea what the f*ck you just said.
Because Meltzer told Tony Khan it was a good idea lol
There’s a movement going on amongst the non-WWE promotions to try to recreate the territory days of wrestling. So, Kenny being the belt collector is sort of like the modern version of the NWA champion. Except of there being one unified belt, there are many disparate belts being advertised on the most viewed shows. It’s supposed to draw more eyes to the minor promotions.
Sort of makes more sense than competing for an illegitimate belt like the FTW title.
Watched this, loved it. Love you too Jim ;D
Archer might be the Sid of this generation.
I did not know JM had had issues like that in his past. That is interesting.
