Kenta's been on AEW for a week and he's already in 20min no DQ matches because Moxley can't have an actual match against someone. Meltzer and Alvarez are so biased against WWE and think AEW is so amazing, when it's so bad
That trash can Kenny uses in all his matches is basically aluminum foil. It's so hokey looking. He does all the same spots with it every match too. 5 stars.
As a guy who closest exposure to japenese wrestling is Pride FC and Pancrase, I dont get the hype for Kenta. From what I've seen of him in nxt, he essentially throw a whole bunch of kicks. But it's not like he throws a variety of them from at impressive speeds or angles. Ive never seen him throw a scorpion kick, a hook kick, or some other cool looking kick. He simply throws normal kicks. While its nice he doesnt kill the guy he is wrestling, unlike a certian druggie ECW wrestler, the kicks arent particularly impressive. Beyond that he seems to have little else is his arsenal. He doesnt seem to really grapple much, have many submissions, or even do a lot of high flying. Does anyone know what we are suppossed to be excited to see?
I recall him having some exciting matches with three hundred plus pound guys like Takeshi Morishima where he'd have to find ways to outwrestle or out maneuver them, or strike contests where he'd have to out stiff guys like Low Ki, but honestly he's a junior heavyweight in NOAH who got moved up to the heavyweight ranks because ladies bought tickets to see him. I don't think he's bad, but he had a bad habit of giving out potatoes with his Go To Sleep and running high knee strike. Of course CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, two of ROH's most popular wrestlers who crossed over successfully to WWE, using the go to sleep and running high knee, just make KENTA all the more popular. And he's heavily associated with Kenta Kobashi. He's Kobashi's "successor" so to speak. Also, he ran kick ass power stables like Disobey and No Mercy, which had popular feuds with other stables like CHAOS and Suzuki-gun.
I watched the clip of Kenta attacking Moxley and my first thought was how out of shape Moxley has gotten. When he made his WWE return he was bulkier than ever and now he's really trying to look like a plumber.
Moxley has lost weight. He wasn't jacked to the gills when he got hurt in wwe and came back with a lot more muscle...he still had good size last year. I'd suspect that either Mox was on the gas and quit or he's dealing with a lot of injuries from all these brawling matches and major bumps and not working out.
Regarding Moxley's body, isn't Rene pregnant? Maybe it has something to do with that. I remember triple h got flabby when they were trying to have kids because he had to get off the gas for some reason.
*sigh* ok, whilst New Japan has a briefcase (well two, as the G1 winner also has a briefcase for the Tokyo Dome main event) the only differences between them and Money in the Bank is, the way the contract holders are booked in Japan is, they defend it a few times like a championship itself, before they hand the case over for their title shot. KENTA defended the US title briefcase about 5 times I think!
It was off the air where I am for 2-3 weeks due the the network showing NBA, NHL etc and I really didn’t notice it or miss it. I only tuned in originally because it’s not a McMahon product.

During Jim's time in WWF/E there were more "no dq" matches than ever before. Are we just going to ignore that for the sake of it now not being ok to have a no dq match? Or did Cornette need to find something new to bitch about to keep his cult entertained?

Also Cornette bashes WWE to a minimal and wont say many negative things about Vince McMahon cuz he has to maintain a healthy relationship with them since they include him in some of their documentaries and let him induct Rock N Roll to the Hall of Fame in 2017. Moxley and Twinkle Toes first match in 2019 was already the laughing stock of “sports entertainment”. I wanted AEW to succeed but the moment Twinkle Toes pulled out the broom wrapped in barbewire and gingerly poked Moxley’s back with it I was out. AEW is a joke, everytime I catch part of a match I’m immediately embarrassed to be a wrestling fan. Other than gymnastics, Twinkle Toes does nothing to convince he is serious, and Moxley, lol, his behavior and actions in the ring scream FAKE. I love what you did at the end of your comment.
His match with Bobby Roode at NXT Takeover was great

Moxley has lost weight. He wasn't jacked to the gills when he got hurt in wwe and came back with a lot more muscle...he still had good size last year.
I'd suspect that either Mox was on the gas and quit or he's dealing with a lot of injuries from all these brawling matches and major bumps and not working out.
