- Tropical jungles are often portrayed as either being full of dangerous and venemous creatures seeking to devour humans or as a garden of Eden with trees full of tasty fruit waiting to be picked. Neither view is very accurate so in this video I show what I experience while doing primitive camping in a jungle in Chiapas, Mexico. It took me a full day of travel mostly on foot to get here and then I spent the next three nights sleeping on the ground on a sandy beach next to the river surviving on the little food I brought with me as well as foraging for plants. I built a simple shelter to protect me from the rain and collected water from a majestic waterfall not far from my camp. I spent the three days barefoot in a loincloth to have a more intimate experience with nature. I found the biggest danger to be falling rock from the tall canyon cliffs and other than bites from mosquitoes and biting midges I encountered no dangerous animals.

You have inspired me to go back to the Wilderness again and survive in the wilderness for weeks at a time. I used to survive in the wilderness years ago for 6 weeks with having to find my own food and water my own shelter and lived in the wilderness and just a pair of gym shorts and survive for 6 weeks. I stopped and haven't done it for five years. And you have inspired me to go back and do this again

Por eso hice este refugio de supervivencia. Es para uso temporal y yo entro completo. Me protegió de la lluvia. Funcionó muy bien. Una casa más grande es más tiempo y luego corre el riesgo de pasar la noche en la lluvia por no la haber terminado.

Would be nice to see a behind the cameras to see what you actually brought with you besides camera, pots, drinking bowls, dried fish and mais/corn
I spent a whole day getting to this location, mostly on foot. I wore sandals, pants, a shirt and a hat. I used a rope to assist in crossing the river at times. My backpack was mostly packed with my camera gear but also a little food, bottles of water, water filter, and a few other miscellaneous items.

We live in such a high tech world, so many ppl will be beyond lost if we lost it , it should be imperative that school should teach how to live past 10days. From nothing to building , fire, shelter, hunting etc etc , those are the skills that can be used in fun times and I life saving times , even being taught to cook from the plants you an find would have more benefit . Love these kinds of videos , living free dude living free !!
