About the 1.8 cam.. my goal was to have the idle your Tib has but after doing the swap it's the same as before.. Fourgreen shipped me the 1.8 Elantra/Tiburon 97-98 intake cam. Same part number as yours too just checked
PA Tuners awesome I had a spare trans aswell and got it out of that one .the inner piece looks a little beat but it slides in and out how it should ,wonder what could have caused it to be scratched up like that any thoughts ?
drewster956 normally metal debris from beating on them are from low gear oil are from not changing it . I like using redline are synchromesh gear oil and some swear only by Honda gear oil .

Just put a lsd in my ep3 5 speed transmission and had reverse on the table but didn't have reverse in the car... im hoping after I get fluid In and start it that will settle things.. I didn't change bearins or speedo gear just removed 1 of the washers on the main shaft and the diff washer it went to gether smoothly and like said had all gears b4 I put it in the car 🤦♂️
I had shifter selector bad in mine when i put it in the car and thats why i tore it apart would go into 3rd i had the parts from my broken transmission to fix now it works . but now ill blow my k20a2 up so going get a rebuild to handle the power . Best of luck man with yours i hope you figure it out .

I am hoping you can give me some help with what would be the reason why my 2nd gear would only pop out under hard cornering while auto crossing and other then that have no issue ? And info would be appreciated it's so annoying I haven't tracked anymore...
Would you be able to tell me when putting together an DC5 X2M5 6 speed mainshaft is the angular bearing suppose to slide on and off? Even when I use a press it still slides off. Or is that normal? Cause to me it seems like the only thing keeping the gears together or in place is the casing.
PA Tuners I have one more question. I just finished rebuilding my tranny. Put in all new bearings and a lsd. I had a hard time getting the case back on and had to use a dead blow hammer to pound it on I guess because of the new bearings not sliding into the recess properly. Anyways all the shifter mechanism move properly but for the life of me could not turn the input shaft by hand while in neutral I did use assembly lube on the internals but as of now it is still dry meaning no trans fluid. Is that normal? Or do I have to tear it down again? Any advice?

I’m in western PA and wondering where in PA you are located so I can deliver it to you to work on if it isn’t too far. Also would like to know a round about price if I deliver it and supply parts.

i just seen this . not sure if it was my exhaust i had at the time that helped with the cam lop sound are not

just drop the case it falls out
Ok so my top bearing on the main shaft came apart also I thought it was more from being worn out .
Replace it if you think it is wore out

no that's not normal something isn't right should move freely . i would tare it back apart to check see what's going on and go from there.
I never mess with fwd manual transmission just rd. It's look harder to do but Idk
