Yeah I thought it was Giant Steps chord progression. Isn't it? Regardless, some of the BEST Bireli I've ever heard out of dozens of youtube vids - killer bebop playing, Great phrasing. Babik very cool, too. Bireli's walking bass and the union line tag at end awesome!+++
Sorry for my terrible English. As some friends already commented, Frank Gambale influenced Bireli the most and they are close friends. And FG was strongly influenced by Scott Henderson because SH was a his teacher in his GIT days and they were (are?) close friends too. That's why Bireli's style in late 80's was quite similar to them.
few people, so little noise... You 'd be amazed in a big festival, to hear the amazing applause sound produced by a half hearted audience... In a live recording made in a small place, applause is usually fake .
Remember watching years ago sooooo good!!! Bereli number 1
This Tune is called "Coltrane Memory",, It was on Babik's record called "All Love" ..
Très très beau duo merci babik et bireli
whichever one wrote this it's genius. Bireli played some jaw dropping shit but so did Babik, he was a monster too!
phuuu Masters of guitar what a preformace
It seems to me that Bireli enjoys playing with Django Jr. He smiles more than I’ve ever seen him smile (on video)
To me it sound like a mix of giant steps and moment´s notice !
love
