@@samchat21 what would you say is the engaging storyline? Is there drama? Tension? Resolution? Celebration having resolved the tension? Sadly, there is nothing special about this attraction. No one asked for it and it will not be celebrated.
I was SO excited for this ride to debut, but based on the recent POV footage, its looking to not be that good. Hopefully it will be better when it opens at Disneyland. BIG miss to not have Dr. Facillier on the lift hill at the end!!
Having watched the short ride footage you showed I think the updates looking amazing especially the last scene. In fact, if they had kept Splash Mountain they would have needed to do a massive update to get the animatronics and technology upgraded to this century.

I agree! I am very impressed with Disney’s work on this attraction. I was skeptical but I am very happy with what I have seen! The critters are so cute! ❤
The most worrying same as OG was what would be playing songwise (music) especially the finale. While Zip a Dee Doo Dah is such a classic in nostalgia, the spice song was fresh and growing to like it it's fun and catchy. The ride thus far in what they shown looks better than I expected which is sorta a relief haha.
It looks better than I expected! While it looks like Disney put a lot of time and money and effort and to creating this ride and it will be wonderful. I am very sentimental and will miss Splash Mountain and I definitely miss the Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah song, but that being said I am sure this new ride will be just as amazing.
@trippjohnson7393 Is just that if Pocahontas had an attraction or were to had something along the lines of Splash Mountain flume style ride exactly it would be. 💯
I think this is the first time I’ve seen this suggested. Brilliant. The drop would make sense. The critters would make sense. It would fit in the frontierland universe a bit better. Princess and the frog should have gotten it’s own original attraction back in 2010-2011 in disneyland.
So I was optimistic about this from the start because the only recent ride at DLR that I wasn’t thrilled about the execution of was Smuggler’s Run. And I was looking at it from the Disneyland perspective rather than WDW. From the Disneyland perspective, Tiana is in the PERFECT spot on the border of New Orleans Square. But I was willing to listen to those who looked at WDW and were concerned about putting this in Frontierland and I agree that it’s a little weird, and makes me wonder if WDI came up with the idea for DL, hell, Galaxy’s Edge layout is the same on both coasts but was specifically designed for DL. Overtime we heard some things that I found concerning like that it would be taking place after the movie so no Facillier, and the potentially convoluted back story, but, I still remained optimistic because Disney rides barely ever let me down (I can’t say the same for Universal). I criticized that the early marketing was random trips to New Orleans with a new piece of concept art. But with what we’re seeing now I’m very excited to get to ride this during my next DL trip (I want to time that to be after the ride and Haunted Mansion are open). I still question whether it was the right IP for WDW based on the location of the ride, but for DL at least I think it is going to be an absolute home run. Also I think Special Spice is going to rival Nothing Can Stop Us Now on the ear worm scale.
Disneyland was always meant to constantly be innovated and reimagined. Updating this from Splash Mountain to Tina's Bayou makes perfect sense. Honestly, who of this current relevant generation remembers what Song of the South was or would even care to watch it today? I'd wager the target demographic would appreciate seeing a ride about a movie they grew up with, and the parents would love to see their kids excited to ride their favorite movie. My father remembered Journey through Inner Space. But when I was a kid that was changed into Star Tours, something I loved as a kid and was excited to ride when we went.
You don’t need to watch the movie to know the story of Brer Rabbitt. Zip-a-Dee is an iconic Disney anthem. This new attraction was unwanted, unnecessary and a big swing and a miss. A major downgrade.
Amazing new animatronics and amazing new lighting package, but everything else about this ride is terrible. It's not a worthy replacement for Splash Mountain. It's a B- attraction.
This attraction looks fantastic! 🤩
No magic. Bland story. Just lots of eye candy. That’s it.
@@billschnell5667 I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree, but everyone’s entitled to their own opinion

😅
Should have left Splash Mountain alone and built Tiana her own ride. It was that simple.
yes i agree
From the POV video, I see absolutely NO adventure. She's there, she's here, she's over there again. Ride over. What adventure?

And yet haunted mansion and it's a small world, peter pan, train ride, Dumbo and other classic rides get t remain. Splash was the most popular ride
Agree with you guys 💯

I'm impressed with the ride footage but I'm not sure how I feel about the new song. I don't hate it but I don't love it.
That’s fair!!
@@OrangeGrove55 special spice is kind of catchey, but it doesn't hit me the same way as zip a dee doo da did.
I like Splash Mountain better, but I will take this over mission space replacing horizons any day.
The biggest downgrade would be the NBA experience replacing Disney Quest, but I guess that's a whole different story. 😆

I would have been accepting of this ride.
If not for the reason it was made.
What I’ve seen looks pretty damn good.

They should have done a Pocahontas ride. It would have made sense. Tiana palace was good to pay homage. We Disney fans didn't need a bayou ride.
Hopefully they make a little New Orleans area around it for Magic Kingdom!! Hoping those rumors are true.
Pocahontas isn’t really that popular compared to Princess and the Frog.
Ooo! Just Behind the Riverbend for me!!!! Chills

From the video the thing I was most surprised was they didn't include a new Orleans boat in the final scene.
Its boring and doesn't take you to another place like Spladh Mountain did.
Somebody on the Wdw Magic forums compared Tiana’s to Stalin’s purges and I wish I was joking.😞
Yiiikes
Oh I believe you.
