Parks - no Downtown Disney - yes (1 secluded area near harbor entrance) you shouldn’t have to leave the security barrier to smoke / vape) However Disney will never bring it, why would they at this point.
There are 95% of places people second hand smoke. My answer to the smokers are: You can live without smoking for more than a week or month in an amusement parks and hotels. Don’t ruin it for everyone else by hurting their lungs.
I'm a smoker who is actively trying to quit and I have zero problems with no the no smoking policy in the parks. Even when smoking was still allowed in the parks, it was a very rare occasion when I would light up. I go to the parks to enjoy the parks, and the smell of smoke in the parks took away from that enjoyment. Personally, if the urge hits me hard, I have no problem leaving the parks to have a smoke. Most times I leave my cigarettes in my car so I have to go all the way back to the parking structure or Toy Story lot if I really want to smoke. It acts as a deterrent due to the inconvenience, but if I do go back to my car then I'm at least getting extra steps in. What I DO think they should do at DLR is put clearly marked designated smoking areas OUTSIDE security similar to the way WDW has designated smoking areas outside security at their parks; not for my own benefit, but because I see people trying to "stealth vape" or "stealth smoke" almost every time I'm at the parks. If there was a more convenient clearly marked area for smokers, those people might not try to do it inside the parks, DTD or the esplanade.
Disneyland OPENED with a tobacco shop, so how about a dedicated tobacco lounge/cigar bar? You could have it be themed to the area, keep it indoors, and sell only Disney approved smokes. And I would honestly prefer cigarettes over gum, as theyre infinitely easier to clean up.
Yes because it can cause less drama when people get stressed with their kids or family members or friends. Take a moment to get a smoke and relax. It should be outside the park.
I perosnally think the risk of allowing smoking back in the Disney Parks is just too great. Anti smoking laws in many countries have become tougher, and so I can't see Disney ever going back on that particular rule.
Absolutely not! And this is such a good topic btw because Disney and Universal always have to use beautiful areas for smoking sections such as right by the France little tunnel way outside the park. Universal Resorts have smoking sections in direct paths of guests going to the main entrance. Its always in pathways of people and the vaping people just blow in pathways that everyone walks.
How about opening one of their restaurants in each park as a smoking area? Tomorrowland Terrace is completely open air. Or, they could do the exact opposite and open one of their well ventilated buildings as an inside smoking area with no external smoke at all. There are closed rooms everywhere that they could use for this purpose.
Why should cast members earning a paycheck have to be subjected to working in that? It's 2025, and you would be hard pressed to force a cast member to work inside an area that allows smoking. Smoking is an addiction...i get that, but people that are non smokers shouldn't have to be subjected to it.

I’m not a smoker but I think the designated areas Disneyland used to have for smokers were just fine. I Can see both sides of the coin though.
