- It's been a looooong time coming, but finally got around to getting a new turbo for the Acty and got it mounted up in the van! Also some updates on the two motorcycles. Let's go!

Isn't there an E0 motor with a turbo and fuel injection already? the E07Z? why not that set up? Just curious -- I'm pretty handy and love cars and bikes...buuuuuut you are leaps and bounds beyond my building experience. I love this.
Yea the E07Z has a turbocharged version, that would have been the ideal solution, but at the time I was sourcing my MTREC engine there weren’t any affordable ones available.

Dope video, thank you for putting it out. I’m curious, have you seen some of the recent Mighty Car Mods videos? They recently turbocharged their 2016(?) Daihatsu kei truck. There might be some stuff in there that pertains to our acty’s
I did see the video! Definitely took some notes, it’s all the same in theory, but in practice Actys are just very different from daihatsu’s and Suzuki’s because of the engine layout. It has its own unique challenges, so that’s why I’m documenting it here
So, are you just using the stock carb and running 3-5 pounds, or? I’m really curious about this. I’m parting out a wrecked 660 and that engine is going into my 550 88 van. All of this is gonna be a lot easier on the bench, with the things I’m learning from your work.
I’m not using a carburetor at all. The engine I have is a fuel injected model of the E07A
Where'd you get the information from to do this
Kinda making it up and finding things out as I go lol there’s a lot of conjecture with these engines so I just have to start tinkering and figure out what does and doesn’t work
@@Milehighkei oh ok 👍😁 I'd love to put a bit more zing into my Acty but it's a bit hard in New Zealand. Any mods and mechanics here may deem it unsafe 🤪 I was lucky to keep my fender flares 🤣
