This is where I’m at now as a result of trying to understand the cause’s of the bad shots you just described. I’ve been getting lessons and after fixing path and plane hands at impact are the last part of the puzzle for me. Good explanation confirms a lot for me.
Should I feel like I’m pushing my hands at the bottom of the downswing? As if I’m trying to slap the back of the ball or should I feel like I’m just holding the angle of my wrists until after impact?
Ben Hogan supinated his right forearm from top of BS to Impact.. That is how his left wrist was raised (ulnar deviation) and bowed (flexion) at impact. Ben Hogan swept the ball off the tee and off of the ground. Ben Hogan never released the clubhead .Never tried to square up the face... Squaring up the face is why golfers pull and pull/hook, especially under pressure(fight or flight), when dominant hand takes over.
Such an accurate description of what I'm doing wrong! Makes so much sense now, thank you

Glad it helps
Great - thanks / what happens after impact when you approach the ball like this ?
Thanks, Jared. Really like your videos.
Thanks Mike. Hope they help.

Everyone feels it differently. I would say never try to hold it. The proper sequence and club face positions will make it almost automatic.
