I’m moving to Missouri and I want to learn how to fish trout. Been watching a bunch of different trout videos and you’re a really good one. You keep it simple, you’re humble, you take good care of the fish and you catch a lot of fish. I can’t wait to start fishing and catching too!
Cool to see one of my fav trout fishing channel is out of VA! Nova native myself, trying to hit stocked ponds and lakes this year so keep the good content coming! Hope to cross paths on the water 🤙
Great video as always man, I’d like to see some dough bait videos, what your favorite colors and scents are and what conditions make you use certain colors 🎣
I fish lakes and ponds 3 seasons (not winter) using half full bubble float, 2.5' to 4' fluorocarbon leader, no lead weight, and floating Berkley worms: trout worms, honeyworms, pinched crawlers, and power nymphs. Works even when the fish are not rising. I've had people walk 200 yards to ask what I'm doing. Pearl shad nymph is best. Would love to see you do a vid with Berkley nymphs.
Yes NRV Outdoors can you show us how the bobbler go down and how to hook them like I can't see your bobbler maybe more inline spinner video 📹 thankyou for your knowledge.
Going to have to watch a video on how to put on a bobber stop. I've always been hesitant about using it, and passing through the guides. But I have a 7 foot mi fenwick eagle, and a okuma itx has one of my set ups. By the way it's a fantastic reel.
any advice for fishing set up for weedy shore lines. in my area weeds take over near summer till fall. was wondering if there was a better way to fish for trout in weeded shores.
It can be very tuff. Most ponds are situational but Texas rigging using small wide gap j hooks can help reduce catching the weeds. I typically try casting to the holes or openings and clean off any weeds that get attached to my rigs between casts
just bought some eggs and the big kit with jig hooks! really cool way I can support you. been loving the positive fishing vids vary relaxing to watch. God bless!
Great things about water bobbers is you can make them neutrally buoyant or even a lil negative so the sit just below surface. My step dad used them in rivers when he fished in Colorado in the military. We used to use small ones and tie flies behind them in Roanoke river.
In freshly stocked ponds, you can fill the water bobber all the way and reel quickly so the bobber stays under water through schools of trout and they will chase down that fly and catch a trout almost every cast
Typical trout fisherman. He's got that whole Pond that he could fish but he saw you catching fish and he moved in so tight on your spot that his fishing pole was in the camera shot.
Thanks for watching everyone!! Be sure to leave any video requests below👇👇

I didn't think they still sold those type of bobbers yet, it's cool. What a nice sunny day and some great fish catching as well.

What were the floating objects for, starting at 9:30?
Depth markers made from pool noodles
What size hook would you use for fishing with 3" Powerbait Mouse Tails?
Like always ! Another great video
Thanks!
Please more in depth bobber fishing videos!!! Maybe even bottom bouncing
Can do!
What is the title of your Berkley Nymph fishing video? Can't find it under NRV berkley power nymph or any combination of those words.
Great as always
Thanks!
Man I love your videos. You ever bait fish?

Definitely!
What would be an optimal leader length for a shallow pond with trout feeding right at the surface?
I love my water bobber - bobber fishing in late January in open water...who-da-thunk!
We had a warm spell with rain and it opened up nicely
Super windy this coming FR - bitter cold on SA for New England...but nice to get out and show NRV Nation something new
Donald, what is the advantage to a water-filled bobber to a regular balsa slip bobber? Is it a stealth/visibility factor?
Yes & also added weight for very long casts. It also has the ability to adjust resistance
@@NRVOutdoors Thank you. One more question. What type of bubble bobber do you recommend? Source?
Is it as effective to just crush the barb on your existing gear, or do need buy barbless?
Our jigs are sold with a barb and I pinch them down
Great video. Cant wait to try this setup. What lure or bug were you using?
NRV Baits Creek Bugz available at nrvbaits.com
@@NRVOutdoors thanks for the info. Im going to hop on there and buy some.
Do you have any suggestions on how to fish reservoirs
I will try to make a video on them soon

@@NRVOutdoors Try half filled bubble float with no weight, small hook, floating worms.
Nice! I was waiting for this video , are you applying any scent to a greek bug ?
Nope. They are scent free
I used a bobber system to fly fish in streams I couldn't use a fly rod due to cover. Any system that works is a keeper!!
Definitely!
Can you please tell me where you got your net ? I would like to purchase one , like the longer handle. I really enjoy your videos , good job !!!
Hellbendernets.com
What kind of line you using?
just curious, why would i do this as opposed to fishing 2 feet off the bottom?
need to try this out and buy some of your bugs!
They slay!🎣

Wondering how this would work with something like a Wooly Bugger tied on below the bobber
It would work great
I do this but with a fly at the end, works wonders
Heck yeah! Can't beat the ol float & fly

Definitely happens like that. In this situation we were fishing together and he kept his distance while I filmed
