I,m not. The world among many children have no food for the day, and here them three are showing up like they are some kind of Gods. Ridiqulous, the whole thing.
Thanks to all astronauts and thanks to SAAB for initiating (and paying for) this event! However I think there is one astronaut missing and that's Kjell Lindgren. He should be an honorable swede imo 😉
Now when we have so many astronauts, including with Buzz Aldrin until now, why not expand Esrange Spaceport in Sweden, it's official it may be the first in Europe to launch satellites, but why not also send up people from there.
The location is limited for polar orbits and not acceptable for equatorial orbits. For instance, it’s virtually impossible to reach the international space station by launching from there. Besides, flying in a southeasterly trajectory, the launch vehicle can’t drop its spent stages, a potential external tank or strap-on boosters over any sparsely polulated areas.
@@Tramseskumbanan This area is very sparsely populated and there is two oceans nearby. They are already sending satellites into orbit to positioned orbit near ISS from Esrange.
@roxpace Esrange is usable ballistic shots, polar LEO and sun- synchronous orbits only. Reaching the international space station is simply not an option. The station reaches at its maximal northern inclination the southern part of Sweden, several hundred miles south of the base. The booster would require vast amounts of extra propellant in order to change its inclination and trajectory that much during flight, not mentioning the extra 1200-1500 miles/h it would have to compensate for considering its arctic location with respect to the earth rotation. It would also require down range safety over several countries such as Finland, the Baltic states and even Russia.

That's the joke, they never explain it. 🤣 It's like the question about "the three seashells" in the Demolition Man movie which never got an answer. 😁 I'm just kidding, on the ISS they have a vacuum hose for doing such business.
Jessica Meir is of direct Swedish descent. Marcus Wandt is a Swedish test pilot and member of the 2022 European Space Agency Astronaut Group. He became the third Swedish astronaut to visit space and is an astronaut by the accepted definition of an astronaut. Christer Fuglesang is a Swedish ESA astronaut.

Wow, so proud of all 3 ! it strikes me how long time has passed since Christer was in space and he has aged quite a bit.
Hats off for Buzz Aldrin, the first Swedish-American on the Moon and the three other who follows in his footsteps! 😊
thought you were joking until i searched it up lol, now i can say we were on the moon before Denmark thanks
Hats off to the crew!
I will be supporting your space expedition
just came across this, seems interesting

Vem är han?
Tell us!😮
Han är en amerikansk astronaut. Han är inte svensk men hans namn borde räcka för att kvala in honom 😄

Inget svenskklingande namn likt Ibrahimovich hehe!
Awesome, riktigt intressant!

@roxpace Far from it. Not even close. Besides, Bottenviken is not an Ocean and the Arctic Sea is to the north of the base.
