Well Joshua, as a very new person to FPV, I just ordered your signature frame, FC, Runcam, and a few other things and will attempt my own build. Thanks so much! I joined your patreon as well. Appreciate what you do!
One thing that I absolutely hate about UA-cam is all of the trolls who will be negative about anything you post. Most of the time they have never posted a comment on their own and hunt for people to harrass and usually resort to calling names. I actively seek them out and use intellect to put them in their place. Loose the trolls!
I think the main programmer of Liftoff sim he gives his name to the lap when i flight in liftoff sim in bardwell’s backyard. A few times ago i started to watch your videos and now i understood a lot of company and guys love you sooo much. Thanks all of those knowledge that share us. Best regards from Turkey.
What an awesome guy you are, thank you for recommending the HaloRC Osiris. I can also now recommend the QAV-S JB Edition as I have flown your frame now too and it is freaking awesome!
I'm going to be building mine this weekend.. Two year old JB F4 stack, JB Phoenix2, two year old racerstar motors, IRC ghost hybrid, and a hydro dipped QAV-S Bardwell..
Hey Bardwell , thanks for introducing me to the hobby it been a pretty good learning experience and a great way to deal with the constant covid lockdowns in my area.
Joshua, as far as the power leads: grind down and sand the camera side carbon plate leaving a nice gap for those 2 leads to pass through. Easy Peary fix. No rubbing or binding. Finish with zip tie.
Forgot to mention what 6s battery you were using for optimal flight time and performance. Thanks for the detailed build video. Still waiting on my lost fpvcrate to arrive.
🇫🇷 Hello, if your videos were translated into French, it would be great because a lot of French are watching you. Thanks for all your videos. You're great
Hi Josh Great video on your favorite build. I just finished my QAV-S and I can't wait to fly it. I just built mine a little different. I used the JB F7, and Holybro Tekko32 ESC, Caddx Ratel starlight, RUCH TANK, and NBD FLOW 2306.5 1850kv motors. On 6s. Thanks again for the video and information about your perfect freestyle build.
I don’t know if it’s anyone else, but I always like to do my builds while someone else is doing theirs. Can’t wait to watch! Always love some nice build tips slong the way
Hello JB, congrats on finally getting your perfect build. You look so excited. I just want to know what the all up weight is for the HD version. Thanks
With hero 8, analog, and 1000 mAh 6s, it weighs 702 grams. I haven't weighed it on DJI yet but about 15 grams more. I. Would typically fly it on hero 7 which saves maybe 20 grams.
Thanks I am planning my next freestyle build and I want to use a hero 8 with the nebula pro. It seems the more my skills progress the more weight conscious I become. Or more appropriately, thrust to weight conscious. I really dig the changes you made on the QAV-S. Would you be willing to add 5.5 inch (prop diameter) arms as an option? I would definitely buy one. I have a 6 inch QAV-R2 and I love it but it feels big. I think the 5.5 inch revolution is coming. I want the QAV-S JB edition to be my first.
Using one of your stacks on an Vista Apex build. Turned the ESC sideways to negate the XT60 clearance issue, then used a printed mount that I got from Thingiverse to hold the cap to a standoff. Weird thing I've found with your stack though. In a past video you made, you mentioned turning the PWM freq down to 24mgz. I've done that on three other builds with different stacks, all great. On your (iFlight) stack, the quad freaks out immediately on arming. Stuttering, twitching, etc.. Set the PWM freq back to the stock 48mgz, it flies perfectly. Not an issue, just thought it was kinda strange..
Glad you did it wrong cause so did I an a fall from 20 feet drop throttle on grass an the arms pop right out of place. Thought the Fram was defective. Now I know what's wrong lol. Nothing broke rear arm popped out. Thanks for the good info.
About to start ordering parts to build this as my first drone. Love all the information this man has passed on to me. :D thanks for the entertainment/knowledge!!!!!!
after this chip shortage ends, bitcoin goes back to being a 'normal' price or the difficulty increases so much so that a graphics card will be pointless the prices will drop and we can get back to buying stuff just to try it out.
I am building an "in stock" version of JBs perfect build. Should be more than decent when done. Only big difference in mine is I fly 4s and analog so... JB frame - SpeedyBee F7 V2 30x30 3-6S Stack/Combo - XING2 2306 2555KV 4S FPV Motor - JB Phoenix2 cam - Rxsr (till ELRS come out for my T-Lite) - Rush FPV Tiny Tank 25-350mW 5.8GHz Micro VTX - Gemfan Hurricane 51477 Should be fun!
No, sorry. This is my 2nd "perfect freestyle build" and I have also done a "perfect racing build". That's it. Three in total. And the first "perfect freestyle build" was over 2 years ago. Honestly, it's hard to know where people come up with these ideas.
I use 14awg a lot too. Why do you not put one wire on each side of the standoffs? Looked like it would work. Definitely found two battery straps are needed on many of my drones especially to hold the battery plug in. Though of have given a few straps a haircut - Roma f5!
I been waiting a long time for this video. Now I’m gonna be waiting even lover for parts to be in stock. Lol parts from ur other build still out of stock lol..
My frame came with 22 and 25mm screws. I couldn't fit my ESC and FC on with the 22mm screws so I used the 25mm. It seemed to work find for me or maybe I did something wrong?

Great list of components, but how do you know it will fly great and be your favorite until you build it and fly it a bit? I put together one and found out it ate batteries for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Those motors are far, far too big for 5" props. A 2207 or 2306 has more than enough torque to maximize the responsiveness of that prop. If you want a little headroom, get something like a 2208 or a 2506, but definitely nothing bigger. 2806 used with 5" prop has lots of additional weight for absolutely no benefit.
It removes weight, and believe it or not that area of the arm caries essentially zero stress loading, so you can remove significant material there without weakening the arm at all!

JB's perfect build made from parts that are only in stock for UA-camrs. Only half-serious. Great vid as always JB!
Seriously though, I would be a couple thousand dollars deeper into the hobby if parts were in stock. I guess its a good thing?
JB you're killin' me with that orange tape!

Fantastic flying as well!!!

I think what makes this the perfect build is the red electric tape!!!

Pumped for this JB!
I like how it looks like an eachine wizard. Classic

@@JoshuaBardwell Thank you
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!!
Josh I wanna build a 5" with 2806.5 1800 kv motors with aggressive tri props if that's a bad idea I'd like to know why tho

Any iFlight ESC.
Damn… My perfect JB Chameleon ti build didn’t die yet 🤷🏼♂️
Looks and sounds great. Can you let Steele take it for a drive? :D Please?!

@@TheDiegoAranda But as far as torture test, to me it's Steele's way of piloting. I'm digging JB's build tho..
i cant find the option to purchase the caddx vista with 12mm cable
Why are the slots under the motors so large. It looks like that would create a weak spot that could break.
It removes weight, and believe it or not that area of the arm caries essentially zero stress loading, so you can remove significant material there without weakening the arm at all!
In order to run my battery leads out the back with the vista I put my capacitor on my xt60 and secured it to the leads.
This reduces the effectiveness of the capacitor by at least 50% (depending on the length of the leads).
@@JoshuaBardwell Thanks for the tip. This was the first time I had tried this. I wasn't aware it had such a detrimental impact on performance.
What antenna would you be using for the analog build? That was the only thing i didnt see in the video. Lol
Jb put a nice name for the new build drone,,😝
Yesssss.... I needed a new build vid to watch! ❤️
What sets your build apart from the Steele build?
What reasons would people choose one over the other?
This feels like a job interview question.
@@JoshuaBardwell lol. Im just wondering if they are designed for different purposes, or if they are both freestyle builds or what.

Joshua, Why didn't you use one of those battery leads with the cap on the plug if you were so tight for space?
Putting the cap on the plug significantly reduces its effectiveness. The cap needs to be as close to the ESC as possible.
Just did this yesterday :D different parts but works the same :D so far with what I was able to put on it I love it!
is it possible to buy the same frame
