    The cutscene halfway through the Fire Giant fight is so legendary but also sad. You can see his pain and determination to fulfill the task he was appointed to, no matter the cost. Always felt bad for putting that bad boy down.

    I always wondered if there were titans before the giants. I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed but when you wonder around long enough you'll notice some rock faces look like actual skulls and skeletal remains. Even before entering the boss room you can see skull's tucked into the crevice you pass over. Would be cool to see what those*giant* looked like in their prime.

It’s apparently a being like the greater will and it came to them in dreams as just this glowing red thing in outer space. It’s apparently where the blood thorn magic comes from. That could be completely wrong idk.

  • @gatcalibur6938
    @gatcalibur6938 Рік тому +54

    Slightly incorrect, Marika did employ her own forces but what truly brought victory were the other dwellers of the mountains the zamor warriors, they were the only ones who could match the power of the flame of the giants. The fire monks aren't on the side of Marika they are heretics who worship the flame of the giants as all flames mean the end of the erdtree which is exactly why they are heretical. That's also why they are kinda still around though, because without the proper strength the giants flame can't be wielded so the fire worshipers (and the last flame giant) are still around because to Marika they no longer posed a threat.

    You say that Marika cursed the giants to be eternal keepers of the flame, but the description of Burn, O Flame contradicts this.
    "The fire giants borrowed from the power of a fell god, and still they were defeated. Yet their failure released them from their solitary curse: to serve as keepers of the flame for eternity."
    Their "failure" and defeat resulted in nearly all of them getting wiped out, as you can see their remains on that mountain. She didn't curse them, they already were cursed before she was a thing. Their death released them from that eternal curse.

    • @declancampbell1277
      @declancampbell1277 Рік тому

      True, but i think Marika's "curse" could be said of the last giant. He HAS to tend to the flame, and he has to do it alone. no time for an uprising and the "fell god" is trapped in the last giant.
