Thank you guys for putting up this video. You just saved me from being scammed: at a local repair shop they were telling me they have to completely remove the motor to perform this adjustment! :o Thanks God I decided no to let them do it, and thank you and your son for showing that it is not required to remove the motor.
Videos of it there are a lot but explaining how maintenance it's done that yeah, it's hard.

Super helpfull video! Thank you very much! If you have the time, could you potentially also do a video on how ot change the Timing Chain Tensioner? This is something that has to be done at the 16.000km mark!
Hey not sure if I asked this question but the bike idle and dies. I adjust the valve, change the battery, added new spark plugs and it still idle and dies. Do you or your son would know how to fix?
Hi there. I have 2 questions: 1) Do we need to adjust the clearance of BOTH the inlet and exhaust tappets while the marking is at T1? 2) For a 150cc Benelli, in your opinion, what would be the ideal valve clearance value? I do not have its owner's manual and cannot find an answer online. I would really appreciate a little help here. Thank you so much for the video.
As far as I know yes you can adjust both. Here are the clearances: IN: 0.08 ~ 0.10mm EX: 0.08 ~ 0.10mm Link to the owners manual: www.ssrmotorsports.com/store/ownersmanual/benelli/TNT135%20Owners%20Manual.pdf
its a break in thing for the engine.. its not like its every 600 or nothing. its a longggggggg ways after that. its fairly the same with all "small" engines. Just look up basic maintenance intervals for pretty much any size motorcycle or scooter and should give you a general reference point and knowledge..
I'm trying to get this done but I can not figure out what .08mm is. I purchased a feeler gauge at the auto store but i do not know how it really read this. Is there something specific I'm missing?I have a .004-.025 in inches and .102-.686 in metric
Hey you live in Arizona correct? I need some help with my valve adjustment on my Benelli 135. I just put in a new cam I need some help putting everything back.
Glad I could help. I'm really enjoying my Benelli it works great for me. The seat is a little higher so it fits me nice. My son has a Grom and he thinks the higher seat of the Benelli feels too much like a "big" bike. There are a ton of aftermarket parts for the Grom vs. the Benelli - so if your really into modding then Grom is the way to go for now.
My TNT 135 has the same problem, on the right side of the engine. Could this be a solution? Im not an expert on the matter, The guys at Benelli told me i can only remove or fix it after 2000KM.
Typically you wouldn't just hear it from one side of the engine but, I guess it would be possible. I'm not sure why they are telling to 2000Km when the manual states to check the valve clearance at 1000Km. If your careful and take your time, checking the valves is not too difficult - at least you could rule out that as an issue.
That is correct. You can check that by feeling that slight movement of the rocker arm. My son demonstrated that in the video. If you don't feel that movement you need to rotate the engine 360 degrees. Thanks for watching!!
T1 and T2 marking would be for checking the exhaust valves and the inlet valves as both valves open and close on different strokes of the piston. The marking is usually called TDC (Top Dead Centre) this is when the piston is at top of the stroke, so this when either the inlet valves are open fully (T1 )or when the exhaust is open fully (T2).

EXCELLENT video. Very clear and concise information with added details when needed. Thank you.
Wish your vid was around when I did my 1st valve adjustment on my Kymco...great vid, very clear, and easy to understand!
Great video. Do you remember what the gap should be for the valve? Thanks,
The one thing you forgot to mention is what size feeler gauge is the correct gap?
Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful. It's hard to find any videos on the 135 on UA-cam
Thanks for watching! Hoping to more in the future.

Que calibración usaron????
Maybe I missed it in the video, but what is the valve clearance that you adjusted them to?
It probably on the user's manual
Cold engine valve clearance
In 0.08-0.10mm out 0.08-0.10mm

Awesome video guys! I have been waiting for this one. Thank you very much
What mm for blades?
What was the valve clearance?
.006”-.008”
what are the torque settings for the head bolts?
new benelli rider here. just want to know if the ticking in the engine disappeared? this vid has nice content. keep it up.
Muchas gracias por tus vídeos, son muy fáciles de entender.
very good explanation......thanks for your time😅

Thank you for doing this!!!!!!
Saw your request on Instagram! Thanks!!
thanks for your videos, very ilustrative
You're welcome - I appreciate you watching!
can you help me find mechanic's manual for benelli tnt 150i ?
What are the specs for valve clearance exhaust?? Intake ?? And how to you take the valves on t1 first left with left or right with right ?
The valve clearance is Intake:0.07 - 0.09 mm Exhaust:0.08 - 0.10 mm I'm not sure what you are asking in the second question, sorry.
@@SuperFuryMan good a question
how does the motor run by hand to stay on point?
Just shared your vid on my recent vid, thank you very much for your really useful video!!
Hi. What is the valve clearance.
Where did you purchase those mirrors?
could you make a video about replacing the spark plugs on the tnt135
How often does this have to happen? I'm looking at getting the 135, 1st oil and valve adjustment seems to be 600 miles in, when's the next one?
its a break in thing for the engine.. its not like its every 600 or nothing. its a longggggggg ways after that. its fairly the same with all "small" engines. Just look up basic maintenance intervals for pretty much any size motorcycle or scooter and should give you a general reference point and knowledge..
Where did you purchase your benelli. I live in AZ. None of the motorcycles dealers sell benelli.
I'm trying to get this done but I can not figure out what .08mm is. I purchased a feeler gauge at the auto store but i do not know how it really read this. Is there something specific I'm missing?I have a .004-.025 in inches and .102-.686 in metric
Derek Andrews you need another set of guages that has .08 and .10 mm or measurement in between. Technically -.102 is a wee bit out of spec
Isn’t there 4 valves on that motorcycle?
Seems you really love this tnt
Hey you live in Arizona correct? I need some help with my valve adjustment on my Benelli 135. I just put in a new cam I need some help putting everything back.
tf did you put a new cam in for lol
Looks cool without those fairings. Get a nice looking replacement tank and keep it nekkid!
Perfect this confirms my buy a bit more
I don't want another bike with shims.
Still not sure. Grom or benelli

Wearing sandals is a must when working on your motorcycle
Where did you buy the umbrella corp decal?
I made them myself. It was a pain to figure out with all the curves.
Te saludo desde Ecuador pero nesecito toda esa explicacion del ajuste de valvulas en español gracias
Thank you, new suscriber cause I have that bike
Thanks! Welcome - it's a great bike - a lot of fun!

It has to be at top dead center on the compression stroke correct?
That is correct. You can check that by feeling that slight movement of the rocker arm. My son demonstrated that in the video. If you don't feel that movement you need to rotate the engine 360 degrees. Thanks for watching!!
Mine has a T2 mark. Is that the point I should be using?
There should be a T1 mark opposite from that mark - that should be the one to use.
Why do you need to do a valve adjustment at 600 miles?
It is recommended in the owners manual. Not sure why they do it at 600 miles but, mine did not need adjustment - just checked them and they were fine.

How the hell with all of those words you don't give us literally the utmost important piece of information what is the valve clearance????
