A quick look at different types of opal in the wall -

This shows three different types of Koroit opal visible in the wall of a tunnel occurring within less than a meter. Koroit produces a surprising variety of types of opal. Sometimes different types can occur in a single piece of rough.
In my next video I’ll show you a close up of one of these pieces, the middle one that looks like bubble band matrix. And, more interestingly, I’ll show you a surprise that occurred inside that piece.
