@@AlmostSaDiK the problem with other souls is that all the meat is already on the grill, you feel me? what else is left to do in those games? unless homie here got a revolutionary idea, someone already did it, I have seen new channels not grow trying to make the typical videos of runs on DS3 or Elden Ring, because every possible idea has already been made. This channel has grown because it is giving content that we DS2 fans don't have. The little that is seen out there of this game are no hit runs.

I used those shields when I tried to mimic Luet Build(I picked those2 because I thought the powerstance would make easier to fight, and I was right), it was one of the funniest builds I did, the best part was when I remembered that shields could be used to block attacks and started blocking stuff instead of dodging(I spent so much time hitting things with the shields, that I forgot what was their primary function)
And explore and collect the fragments. The enemies do way too much damage even with fragments. I take it it's because the AI kinda sucks and the moveset isn't particularly amazing. Flashy AoEs and all, but not nearly as good as most of the base game. Some bosses are decent, don't get me wrong, but damn it was kinda mid overall.
Hm.....idea for a vid. One where you do a "Oliver the Collector" (that invader NPC in Iron Keep) style build, where you gotta use the rarest weapons in the game; stuff like the Old Mirrah Greatsword, Monastery Scimitar, etc. Also, HELL YEAH, THE WALL!
A mildly interesting bit of greatshield trivia I found out years ago, the forward r2 has deceptive midair tracking and always flattens player sized humanoids. Was fun in the arena.

Greatshields actually hit like a truck, it's nuts. By the way, you probably already know but the Black Witch's Staff can cast everything except pyromancies. That would save you the trouble of shuffling around multiple casting tools at the cost of a bit of casting speed and 1 unit of weight. One of the caged mimics in Aldia's fun house serves as a fixed drop if crypt drop RNG doesn't play along, too, which is nice.

Tip for ya yaz since you like using sacred oath and whisper of despair if im not mistaken you can get a staff from the blue witches in the undead crypt that cast miracles, pyromany, and hexes. That way you wont need to swap to cast your buffs/debuffs.
the black witch's staff casts miracles sorceries and hexes and can get an attack rating of over 1000 but it doesn't actually do much if you whack enemies with it

yeah it was lmao, I'm definitely gonna try it again in the future but with the stone ring instead like you mentioned, cause if it improves your poise break against bosses then that sounds interesting hehe
The ds3 version (giant door shields) also do insane poise damage. Actually I think most shields across the souls games do a lot of poise damage for some reason.

Before you do Elden Ring's DLC, I highly suggest leveling up Vigor to 60 (or close to it). The enemies and bosses in the DLC hit like trucks.

The lobster and opaline hardtear both help alot as well, easy buffs that reduce damage by like 20%

You should definitely do a tier list after you've done enough runs. You probably know more about DS2's weapons than almost anyone else at this point.
