If you would have left the chemical relaxer on for longer you probably would have lost your hair. You said five minutes and your hair got that straight.

Your hair wasn't "relaxed" towards the end because of split ends not because of not relaxing enough and it would've been better if you hairdried it or used a straightener
I think you should have use a Bush and part it though instead of using your hands , it didn't come out to bad the thing about doing your hair at home it can get over pressed,

I have not had any shedding since I relaxed my hair . It looks and feels so good however I’m just going to get a retouch maybe twice a year .
Do what you want with your hair, if I don't like your relaxed hair then tough for me, you can't please everyone
