- Catching crappie can be a whole lot easier when you find their bait source. Most likely that will be shad so, find the shad, find the crappie.
Kyle Lasater, a crappie catching fanatic on Bull Shoals Lake in NW Arkansas wont dip a bait till he finds the shad balls that crappie are near. G3 Sportsman Scott Turnage joins Kyle on a cold late January day to witness the "Crappie King" in action. Thanks for watching and hopefully this method may help you locate more crappie that are more susceptible in biting.

I would tend to agree but we have TONS of shad no crappie, using live scope from the docks in 40FT of water.
