I made this and it was a hit. My friend usually puts hotsauce in all his food but he said this tasted so good he didn't need to add it. I also added roasted hatch chili's instead of canned. Soooo good. Thank you

I’ve made this several times now over the past year and it’s a favorite every single time! Thank you! Especially delicious and comforting when sick ❤ I do add a sazon Goya packet along with a few teaspoons of lime juice and a block of cream cheese to mine now plus the heavy whipping cream. Just adds another creamy flavor that I can’t get enough of ❤
This was sooOOOooo incredibly yummy! I made mine on top of the stove and cooked it low and slow, and Lord have mercy did the house smell good! I left out the sausage, cheese (dairy allergy) and the sour cream (same reason as before), but DID add the cilantro and lime and then crushed tortilla chips on top. TO-DIE-FOR!
Made this last night, was my first time making white chili, had no idea what the heck cardamum was. Holy cow!!! Just watched the video again and wrote down the recipe. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this recipe! I looooooove chili (am from Texas, living in Mississippi now, but I still add beans to my chili lmao). My hubby has bad stomache problems though, so tomato based stuff we have to limit due to it being more acidic. Def. gonna try this today. I think I might add some black beans along with navy and maybe pintos. I usually use dried and just cook them in my instant pot for 8 min with the appropriate water amounts - they don’t require any soaking. I do this because it can be hard to find reduced sodium or no-salt canned beans (HBP since I was 17). Anyway, will update you on how it came out!
Hello making this with rabbit meat and rabbit broth also adding dried beans much cheaper than canned and less salt. I will pressure cook in my Instant Pot on high for 30 mins for the dried bean let it do a slow self-release and then add everything to beans back on pressure for another 10 mins fast release done and to thicken 1 tablespoon of baking powder at the very end add it to a little cold water in a cup then mix that into your pot it will thicken up fast. I can tell this will be delicious. Thank you for the idea!
Great sounding recipe I'm going to try today. I have one questions. Between timestamp 8:48 and 8:53 did you add something you didn't mention? It looks way creamier like something was added other then leaving it cook and the lid ajar. Update: Now that I have watched the video again I see there is a continuity problem with the scenes. You show cutting up the chicken at 3.5 hrs then the next scene you add the mashed beans at 1 hrs so somehow this is out of order and I think that's why it went from soupy to looking real creamy the next scene around where I was saying.
I've never had chicken chili I've always wanted to try it but wasn't sure how to make it... Yours looks delicious and easy I'll be using your recipe for my first go at it... thank you for sharing! 👍
That looks so good! Thank you for sharing this, I've been looking for a different kind of chili recipe to change things up a bit. Cant wait to make this!
Making this today! Short a few items because we're having a winter storm up here in Western South Dakota and couldn't make it to the store. Do you drain the beans at all? Awesome tip for using the bacon fat!!
@@4SureFamily it turned out great! I didn't mash any of the beans but see why it's needed. Thickened it up with shredded Queso and sour cream. Our snowstorm landed us with almost a foot of snow, so we simmered it a second time most of the afternoon. Definitely a new favorite!!
First let me say thanks for sharing people love to see the recipe comments because its going by so fast on screen you don't want to miss anything so then you need to watch it again to make sure you didn't miss anything I've NEVER had chicken chilli before but Im trying it this weekend I promise to let you know how this came out
I’m getting ready to make this chili right now but I have a question for you how many total 16 ounce cans of beans did you use? And did you put the beans in the crockpot at the same time as you put the chicken and all the other ingredients?
I used a total of 3 cans of beans. 1 mashed for thickness and the other 2 cans remain whole. I usually put the beans in later because they don't take as long to cook as the chicken. I hope it comes out good. Just remember you will get better each time you cook it.
@@4SureFamily even just saying I put the beans in later, really doesn't give a good idea of time. Exactly what is later. I'm making it now and i feel like I missed something because you don't give the "at what time during the process" you start adding things. Still like the video.
This looks fabulous but from 845 it was clear then u let it sit and 854 it was white u didn't add anything to it at all? I'm just wondering how that happened ? From letting the lid set off? I'm making this tonight for my family and yours looks and sounds the best !

Idk why you mashing the beans to help thicken the chili was so mind blowing and genius to me. Is this a common thing? Lol. Can’t wait to make this!
I am sure there are other ways to thicken chili, but this is how I was taught, thanks!
This is actually pretty common in most southern bean dishes. Particularly, red beans and rice dishes.
I never knew this! Thank u
It’s nice to see someone who can season their meat. All the other videos I’ve seen are pretty bland. Good work
Thanks Roselena 😊! I love for my food to taste good!

There is a difference in seasoning your food to your taste and someone else's. What they can have or not.

No, I didn’t add anything to it. I just crack the lid open so the water could evaporate and thicken up the white sauce.
At what point did you add the beans?
I usually add the beans last because they are already cooked. I hope that answers your question.
Can you use a pressure cooker.
Yes, but not if it takes the same amount of time to cook.
. Nice recipe I will try. By the way , Goya is a company from Spain 🇪🇸 in Europe they obviously have branches in USA.

Definitely there was heavy cream in that or sour cream. It didn’t get that creamy from mashed beans
When I cut chicken up raw, and throw it in, it's so soft and tender. Why put them in Whole?
