That's amazing. It must have taken quite a while to fly out to the Isles of Scilly.

Yes, it was stunning and I ended up flying back since in an AA5 (not to Fresco though).
It was about an hour from Newquay in the Falke but it took a good bit longer to get to Cornwall, nearly 4 hours. Only 2.5 hours from Turweston to St Mary's in the AA5.

@@ViktorRadnai That's great. I don't think that Lasham would be too amused if I hired the Falke for the whole day. Still, one can dream.

@@davidallan9624 the LGC were kind enough to let me take it for three days. If you fly the crossing at 4000ft then you should be within gliding distance to either St Mary's or Land's End but I'd recommend a life vest just in case. Also Perranporth for fuel, they are open until 8pm in the summer and have on site camping or taxi to Newquay. It's definitely an adventure in the Falke but it was great.

@ViktorRadnai That's very interesting. The Falke has reasonably long legs, engine off, which is reassuring. Maybe one day. We visit the islands every June and it's a lovely place to be.
