Granular-Off! - Tensor vs Mood
Вставка

- There are several things these pedals do not have in common. But we're not here for that!
This video is intended to help answer some questions for people who either:
• Can't decide which one to buy.
• Are unsure how these pedals differ.
• Have both and can't decide which one to sell.

Tensor: "I'll just skip diner for a couple weeks".
Mood: "who needs heating or hot water anyway?"
😂
Yo thank you for doing a demo with the Tensor with some fucking gain! Everything is so clean in all the other demos, which I get, but I'm going to be using this more often with gain/distortion than not, so this is super useful.
Thank you :)
You're welcome! And yeah, I also found it annoying how many demos for granular pedals just stay sparkly clean the whole way through.
You should also check out my "Can the MOOD DOOM" video!
@@PedalExperiments Ooh I will check this out - however I don't wanna have buyer's remorse as I just ordered the Tensor hahaha.
Haha, I don't think you will. The Tensor is an incredible pedal. I'm sure you'll love it!
i always thought particle was the red panda comparable to mood. so much overlap and goodness! i love everything that goes through these, except guitar, ironically.
Mood has several things in common with both the Tensor and the Particle. It sits somewhere between them, imo.
I'll do a Mood vs Particle video at some point, so watch this space!
Just need to add a little bit of a low pass filter
Thanks for this. Recently acquired a used Mood and it's been driving me nuts. Loads of videos on it, but hardly any with gain! Really useful.
Thanks for watching! Glad you found it useful.

@@PedalExperiments Oh, very cool. I'll watch that in a bit. I subscribed to the channel a couple of months back but haven't delved into the archives. Great content! Thanks again.
They both seem great, and neither is cheap. The Tensor is $100 less but the Mood does seem to do more.
I have both. The Tensor is easiest to get your head around. Mood has a more unique and chaotic sound. Tensor is mostly speed/retrigger based. It's funny because I don't like shimmer reverb at all, but I love the broken octave-up loopy things that both of these pedals do. It reminds me of Tomorrow Never Knows.
Awesome! I can’t for your video manuals for these!
Thanks a lot!
Not sure I'll do Video Manuals for these pedals, since there are already loads of video guides for each of them. We'll see, though!
Around 2:30 sounds like an old school Kiss riff!
You should do Mood vs CT5! Heck, I should do that! I own both!
I should! I've actually been meaning to for a while.
The queue of videos I want to make just gets longer and longer...
"Which one to sell"? None of them! Hahaha Nice comparison btw
Ha ha, yeah I suspect I'll be keeping both for a while! 😄
Thanks for watching. 👍
So true lol, these are pedals that once you buy you'll have for the rest of your life.
Well...new 2 both, I'm sure both sides of the pedals have pros & cons! CB with the dipswitches may give more variables but RP cooler sounds ?! I'd need more digging,4sure !!!
I want both!
where’d you get those different color knobs from? That’s dope!
Thanks! I ordered them from Zander Circuitry. They don't always have them in stock, but they're awesome replacements for Chase Bliss pedals.
@@PedalExperiments thanks, bruh. Will look into those.
Mood Vs Particle 2 next
Ha ha, maybe! 😉
@@PedalExperiments Would be cool
I thought the Tensor was a tape delay and not a granular delay
I guess it's sort of a granular, tape delay! 😁
Hi, i'm loving your videos about miku, korg multistomp, metal zone and boss ls-2, this is fantastic!
Thanks so much for the support! Glad you're enjoying my videos. 🙂👍
@@PedalExperiments Hi! I didn't see the answer :) Hey, may be you can help.. i'm searching a pedal with a "jam" mode, which improvises bass and drums on-the-fly, and sounds like a dumb rehearsal interacting with the guitar dynamics, and maybe changes the tempo on-the-fly too. I think i saw that function on a Digitech Trio, and i think it was very silly but now i think it was awesome... but i can't find any video doing that demo, it only has a "learn" mode to compose a song (including jazz)... but nothing of jamming really. Imagine having a board with a Nux solid studio, a Metal zone, a Multistomp, a Miku, and that thing! haha
Hmmm, that's an interesting one...
The most sophisticated drumming pedal I'm aware of, is the Beat Buddy. Although the Trio+ isn't too far behind! Not sure if either of them will do what you want, though?
It's probably easier and cheaper to just find a real drummer! Ha ha!
@@PedalExperiments ajjaja yes yes, but i was thinking of doing blends of glitchy drum machines and a real drummer
Oooh, that sounds interesting!
I'm guessing the only real way to do that would be with MIDI and maybe a multi-pad drum machine thing?
Tun yur axe man!
I always tune up before recording a demo, thanks. Maybe learn to spell?
They sell aloe in the gift shop near the exit
ABSOLUTELY NO COMPARISON! Red Panda pedals = A simple turn of any knob & something interesting happens (works well with line level & many non guitar inputs) Chase Bliss pedals = wow, I've had it a year & I still have to look at the manual ... to get much out of it. Releases limited edition pedal for way too much money then soon after makes a cheaper version. BOOM, FOR REAL!
