I identify as a billionaire but my bank identify me as poor when they see how much money I have on my account... it's truly heart breaking and triggering that the bank doesn't give me billions since my pronouns are also BILLION.

People keep mixing up male vs masculine and female vs feminine these days. Masculine means "commonly associated with the male sex" and feminine means "commonly associated with the female sex". A lot of this is based on social norms. Historically, in many cultures both men and women wore dress-like garments. Scottish men wore kilts, which are skirts. It's really rough. In Ancient Egypt, both male and female priests were hairless from head to toe, including the eyelashes. (Ouch.) If human civilization still exists 200 years from now, people will wonder about why women were expected to wear make-up as part of a business-like outfit or why men were allowed to show body hair but women were expected to remove their armpit hair, whether they were wearing long sleeves or not.

Everytime I hear "assigned at birth", my brain pees blood. Our sex is determined at birth. We're not assigned penises and vaginas. We have them when we come out. There may be instances where a child is born intersex sure, but they don't make up the entire population for nonbinary to have a reason to exist. And hell, a lot of intersex people don't even want to be associated with this craziness. Can't say that I blame them.

I cannot imagine how many trans people (not trans activists) would feel now and during the recent few years. People who have gone through truly hard time transitioning. And hard time was on all levels - emotionally, financially, socially, interpersonally inside their family-friends circle - the list is long. And they finally reached that level of happiness or comfort, when they no longer feel like they stick out. The entire goal (although my opinion is derived from knowing one person who has transitioned a long time ago - and that was a bumpy ride to put it mildly). This person said that the world dropped when someone asked “what are your preferred pronouns”. All the hard work put into the transition had one of the main goals - to NOT be asked such a question. And it feels so unfair and defeating today.

Ellen Page becoming Elliot was a sad day for women: she represented the breaking down of societal expectations of women - it was okay to not be feminine and still be considered attractive, in a different way. When she decided to become a male, it was like it reversed all that hard work of changing what it meant to BE a woman.
      We were SO close!
Women were allowed to be whoever, men were allowed to be whoever, FINALLY! and now it’s turned to “if you don’t want assumptions made about you based on your gender, you have to change what you identify as.”

It's trying to show respect to the customer, but when using the same phrases repeatedly during the day while trying to focus on the tasks of my job. There is nothing wrong with a woman who has more masculine traits. You don't need to change. Trying to force everyone to go up to women who may present a little masculine and ask pro-nouns, would seem to be so hurtful to a woman who already may be a little insecure about people thinking they might be a man. It sounds more like some frat boy challenge to be deliberately hurtful, "Hey are you sure your not a dude?"

I like to compare it to weight loss. When you hit your weight goal, you'll get a sense of pride or euphoria, because you've done something difficult and succeeded. But after a while of being that weight, it becomes the new normal and there's a lot less to be proud of or celebrate. That feeling of euphoria is a temporary response to a new thing or a success. You can have "new job euphoria", "new hair colour euphoria", "new puppy euphoria", "new skill euphoria" etc but it won't last because it just becomes part of daily life. Our brains will not keep rewarding us with dopamine for doing everyday normal things/existing, so the feeling fades.

I just dont get this. You ask them what a woman is, but they never say makeup and clothes.... because that would be gender stereotyping which they know is wrong because not every woman wears makeup and dresses (its why they always fall on the definition "anyone can be a woman if they "feel" like it and identify" because its the only way around this conundrum.... but then they get mad when someone doesnt call them a she even though they are wearing makeup and a dress..... because OBVIOUSLY they are a woman if they are wearing a dress and makeup. HUH??? I literally dont understand their logic what so ever. Is it dresses and makeup? or is it not dresses and makeup??? Why does it have to be such an atrocity when one gets misgendered??? I just don’t understand the outrage. It’s like they WANT to be outraged. From my perspective, it seems like they’re more comfortable airing out their grievances than they are in their own skin. They’ve spent the majority of their lives up until that point dealing with it, so if the person who’s misgendered them just “brushes it off,” then why can’t they do the same? Do they really think they’re *ENTITLED* to more than an apology? What else do they expect to happen? Especially at a bank, where little details like *YOUR LEGAL NAME* hold a bit of importance…

    Trans sexual man here.
I trusted my nurses to help me in the process of helping me fit being a man in society. After numerous visits/call/messages to receive my test results my nurses ghosted me for half a year (planned parenthood). I was going to the appointments but didn't hear from them afterwards. Turns out they lost my results and decided to up my dose just because I asked them to without properly looking into the labs(that they lost). I just got a message a week ago that my T levels are over 2,000. That is double even triple the amount it should be for an average man. Im pretty sure I've had a heart attack and I'm only 22. They told me the cannot help me and told me to go to the ER. I went to the ER and they told me that the nurses at planned parenthood are a joke and that I need to get a primary care doctor if I want to keep doing my testosterone.
My point is I feel as though these nurses don't really care about your health, they are they to provide a service to make money.

What I find so incredibly offensive is that these men assume that "being a woman " is simply about slapping on some make up , fake nails and long hair . It drives me crazy because there is so much more to being a woman

Why is the onus on other people to give them a sexual thrill “gender euphoria” by referring to them by the opposite gender? Seems like they are out sexually harassing and bullying people.

Thank you for being so even and levelheaded. The way you addressed the problems and concerns of each of the individuals was wonderful. I know they don’t agree with you, but that’s life. I’ve seen your videos before and I’ve seen you in conversations with other UA-camrs, and I know that we don’t see eye to eye on most things, this video is wonderful. It gave me a little bit of peace. Thank you very much.

Hi Marcus, correct in every way. In society no one always fits the perfect mould and we aren’t stuck in the 1950s where you couldn’t be anything but the stereotypical male or female without some form of societal repercussions, where gays and lesbians hid their sexuality etc. I work with a young man he is gay, wears appropriate male uniform for work but outside work, does his nails, wears a skirt now and again, lots of jewels and makeup but he still identifies as a male. He’s such a lovely young man. I have found Tik Tok seems to have more and more people posting like the ones you highlight here, everyday it’s like a home for them where they get everyone being nice and validating them, when obviously many need to be encouraged to seek some mental health support instead of looking for strangers to make them feel it’s ok

This discussion seems endless and I‘m trying for years to get an opinion on this as a feminine man who also crossdresses. I never thought of changing my pronouns or anything and felt quite comfortable with going be he/him in daily life, except from being in drag, then I go by she/her, because I am perceived as a woman/ a drag queen then as a performative act. It was hard for me to get the struggle of non binary people. On the other hand I sometimes don’t get the conservatives obsession with pointing out that there‘s feminine man und masculine women. Why does the gender matter so much in the first place?
It’s funny because we all seem to fight a similar fight, which is liberating society from socially constructed gender norms. We just do it in different ways. Non Binary People do it in neglecting the binary system, conservative trans people in saying: there’s the binary but it doesn’t matter you can do whatever.
Both sides are somewhat valid and it‘s hard to stick to one side.

To zbyt skomplikowane i wnosi absolutny chaos w komunikację międzyludzką. Czyste szaleństwo.

Wiesz, kiedy ja bylam w Polsce (20 lat temu), mlode kobiety walczyly o wiecej widzialnosci kobiet. Uzywanie rodzaju zenskiego kiedy chodzilo o rzeczowniki okreslajace zawody. "Anna jest lekarka" zamiast "Anna jest lekarzem". Obecnie, we wszystkich krajach ktore odwiedzilam w miedzyczasie, mlodziez jest nawiedzona niebinarnoscia. Moim zdaniem, niebinarnosc we wszystkim wymaza widzialnosc kobiet. Pytanie: Jak to teraz wyglada w Polsce? Czy mlode kobiety wspieraja to z ta niebinarnoscia?

As a man who raised his trans grandson for a good part of his life I love how you educate through stories and humor. My wife and I took him to many psychiatric and therapy sessions before he was diagnosed with dysphoria. I took me a little bit to come to terms with it, not because I didn't love him but I knew nothing of this mental health problem. These fake trans people really piss me off because to me they are diminishing this horrible mental torture that these kids go through. Thanks to you, Buck and Blair who call these people out explain what a real trans person is and what they really go through. I've never met a real person with dysphoria brag about it and obsess about peonouns. Thanks to many years of therapy my grandson is finally living life to it's fullest.

I can't help but laugh as I'm a straight man yet I'm also Gothic and part of the ICP community so I ware Makeup alot but I'm in no way part of wtf ever their delusional world is. plus I was born in 1981 and after a shit ton of medical testing it turned out that I'm intersex so yes I'm one of the every 5,000 men who can't ever get a woman pregnant I also got natural breasts which I got to feel to make shure I don't have a lump. No I can't grow body hair but I see that as a plus as I don't need razors O I also get miss gendered alot because they see my knockers and think I'm a Ma'am yet I sound like a dude yet it's never triggered me unlike the Q community who gets literally triggered over stupid shit.

When someone grows up with the exact opposite of affirmation and then as an adult get affirmed regardless of what they do/say, its not at all surprising they turn out like some of these people, some just enjoy the attention to a troubling degree and definitely need to seek help.

Maybe we should follow the example of some Asian languages that use non-gendered honorifics. We could use the Thai word "khun" for example for people we haven't been introduced to, but want to address them politely - male or female. See, who said watching Thai dramas was a waste of time...

When I was younger I was in theater and there was this boy he wasn’t even gay but he was very feminine and liked wearing make up and he did professional ballet
He was called sissy and “homosexual” as an insult (there are a lot of homophobic people in Iran )by the bullies
As a straight woman myself I actually find more feminine men attractive and not the extra masculine ones who won’t even shave not only because they are better looking in my opinion but because they’re less controlling and more emotionally available
I’ve seen a lot of toxic masculine men in Iran that I hate that type of man

Marcus, you are so amazing! I wish I could like this video a 1000 times over.
Gender non conforming people are suddenly being told they're trans or NB when all they really need to be told is that they're perfect the way they are and that there is no wrong way to be a man or a woman, the only requirement is being born that way.
I wish you were an official spokesperson for the trans community. You make SO much sense and would save so many people the suffering of unnecessary surgeries or hormones!
