Make these all the time. My main hint is to use cubed hasbrown potatoes rather than shredded. I have found using shredded makes the dish soupier.

Thanks for posting! Does cooking this in the smoker really add to the flavor vs the oven?

When cooking on the smoker your food will have that smokey flavor to it. You can not get that from using an oven. Both are still amazing ways to cook this recipe!
