There are certain things that are undeniable, and Barret’s speed & skill can not be denied. He’s an absolute machine. I love watching him play, but as a South African, I’m not allowed to say I like him 😉
No doubt the 2015 RWC last try from Barrett is one of the best try's ever. Still gives me goosebumps watching today.
The fact that he is no longer the first choice fly-half, no longer the first choice (or second choice) kicker, and no longer has the same top-end speed, and yet they _still_ have him on the field at fullback is all you need to know about how good he is
Mans is a magician... And boy does he have a set of wheels on him!
that chase on Willie Leroux is still one of the greatest things iv seen in rugby, he came from center field and caught him from a turnaround start, Leroux is not slow..pure speed.
He's a cut above the rest.He has it all,skill,speed n vision. He is the
X-FACTOR....of modern rugby.
He is the most balanced player ever seen in the history of Rugby ....An explosive runner with unique running lines...Devastating interceptor with mind blowing passes. His defense style gives no room for air.....and has incredible talent of reading game plays.He is the hybrid version of Dan Carter.
His kicking from hand is incredible as well, a bit shaky at times from the tee but he makes up for that with everything else.
Only Kiwis think this. The Northan Hem and S.A are literally laughing at the idea of him having a decent kicking/passing game. When did we become so blind? He's not even on par with nick evans or Mehrts. I'm a Kiwi btw...

Best rugby back I've ever seen in 40yrs.
i'm newish to rugby; worked in NZ for 6 mo during my life and saw the AB's play Argentina; i'm amazed at the level of athleticism and skill these rugby players have. Good lord. Barrett reminds me of Gretzky or Derek Jeter. It isn't just his stats, or his points, it is his intangible presence, his completeness, his uncanny knack of always being in the right spot. If there's a better or more complete player, well, let's just say I didn't see one in the last World cup.
Honestly IMO Barrett is in top 5 players of all time, man could do everything and play all positions at the back and carry a team to victory just from his pure athletic talent and playmaking abilities..........Would give him the GOAT of modern times after Dan carter 😂😂😂😂

Top player in the world this man is. The shit he does with that ball is unbelievable. Even the Americans know who he is. Them short bursts, kicks and chases, busting gaps, chasing down players, the penalty kicks. Can't be beaten.

U can simply not compare maunga as an upcoming 10 in the black jersey to the legendary Bauden with his great contribution as an AB 10
No better person to pick up the batten from Dan Carter I was surprised to hear he'd gone to the blues, they would have had to shell out shitloads to get the signature of this superstar,and like his predecessor seems to be a decent bloke.

Both him and Barrett are the best in the world imo. Though i'd rate Beauden slightly higher overall, i'd prefer Farrell in a tight, low scoring test match.

some of these are just simple catch or pass... hardly MAGIC. there is plenty of examples of actual magic without just putting those catch / pass items in as a filler
