When I saw the title "Every All Blacks try in 2018" my immediate thought was 'well this will take a while to watch' 🙂
Hard to believe that after the 2015 RWC the AB's didn't progress nor did they decline. They just became stagnant while the rest of the world caught up. Yet they still were dominant. Scary to think what can happen if they start ascending again.
A number of players retired who were arguably the not only the best AB in their position but in the conversation for best of all time in their position. it was inevitable that there would be a downturn. Its life. They had the no 1 ranking for ten years Most teams are lucky to hold the no 1 ranking for a season.
Wow we lost one game at the 2019 RWC and won 3rd spot and we are still ranked 3rd and people think we're on the bottom of the heap think like that and you'll get reminded why the All Blacks are, If not the best team in the World, they definitely are still the Greatest team in history, their for & against record against all Nations is 2nd to no one. Ireland included.
The rest of the World caught up??? when we lost 4 games to 3 countries last year and none have bragging right over us, we're ranked 3rd not last. out of 19 countries 12 have never beaten the All Blacks, that's never won a game since 1903 against the All Blacks. Yep we start ascending all over again being ranked 3rd.
Mckenzie is such a good player pity he is injured or he would be in Japan

Why was Arron Smith looking for players at 4:30 when he could of went himself and it would be an easy try?
Because he has problem thinking properly as you have writing properly.
Because the wallabies were holding on to the ball in the ruck, hence the penalty advantage and him not being able to pass cleanly/access the ball for himself

I always have liked Damian Mckenzie, he lights up the back line that boy. Pity injury put him out 2021 but he's back & firing on all cylinders. They won't leave him behind at the 2023 RWC.

We are the best we got the Barretts the Savea's and Ben and Aaron Smith any many other stars for potentially another 5-10 years and our reserves/back up for these positions are solidfied by greats like TJ Perenara and other up n comers who are there to secure the future of All Blacks

Man. it really shows you can't just throw the ball around against stronger defensive opposition. Only one try in the two biggest games of the year (England and Ireland) and it was scored against England from a set play scrum. The fight back against SA in both games we had to grind it out with "pick and go" tactics and less of the flashy stuff. I don't think we did one "pick and go" in the whole match against Ireland. Ardie Savea was my AB player of the season, so his winning try in the second match against the Springboks is my pick. I've been critical of him in the past, but he has been immense for the AB's this year.
Yeah, he really stepped up in the absence of Sam Cane.
Apples and Oranges to be fair. Northern Hemisphere tour Hansen changed up tactics. We basically stopped running the ball. Over the 9 previous tests played in 2018 (I excluded Japan and Italy as they are considered Tier 2 teams), the All Blacks kicked the ball an average of 18 times a game and ran the ball a lot. And it worked well, scoring more tries than ever before in a season. Yet versus England we kicked it 37 times and 30 versus Ireland. Not to mention zero drop goals all season then two in two matches up North. That's a massive change in strategy. I'm not taking it away from England and Ireland - they played bloody well and Ireland deserved the win - but it isn't as clear cut as it seems.
I'm pretty sure Hansen has taken notes.

Nah man, he was just running his own support line, perfectly straight.
Have you ever even watched American Football? He's so obviously running a line and the Aussie player was trying to run through him. If the Aussie player had been in the proper position to defend then there'd be no issue.
In American Football Smith would've turned around and 'punched' the defender away from the ball-carrier, not merely continue running in support.
Also so fucking what if running support doubles as 'running interference?' You think this hasn't always been allowed by Rugby laws? How about when players link onto the ruck in order to block defenders from charging down the halfback when they're about to box-kick it? You going to complain that they're playing 'American Football' for playing to the laws of Rugby?
