    OMGoodness... I'm so blessed to have found your channel!!!! I love how you explain how to do things- but when uppity tell us why you should do it..... that's the most important information!!!! I'm a new subscriber and I've just gone back to my sewing roots the past couple of years. At first I only used stretchy materials because I was afraid of the pattern making part. I have a question on horse braid, what if I want to enclose it so it's not visible in case I don't have some color as the fabric or maybe am doing a high low skirt and the inside of the hem will be visible on the lower side? Thank you in advance.

      Thanks for the feedback. You can use your lining to enclose it. Just like I demonstrated in the video, just add your linning on top of the main fabric followed by crinoline before stiching, then turn it to the other side.

      @@DamiDimension Yes, like a smaller width1" if I want to use it in the hem of a peplum blouse and want to conceal it inside the hem. Is it ok to use the horse braid inside the hem ?

      @@kinyah9256 Yes you can use it. Though I prefer to make my peplum stand by other methods rather than using horsehair braid. I'll be uploading a peplum video soon, so stay tuned.

    Can you do an extra row of stitching on the fold when you fold it over. I’m working with a very sheer fabric and 4 inch horsehair. I use invisible thread so you will not see the stitches.

      I can't think of any at the moment. Watch this video on how to make a peplum stand if you haven't ua-cam.com/channels/FXPcUGLZ2-k_3aAQk-RM0Q.html
      Note that crinlone itself is optional if you use a hard stay. It all depends on what you want to achieve.

      Some call it gum stay, fusible interfacing or interlining or peplum stay

      Follow the same steps as in the video, but place the lining on your main fabric followed by the crinoline, then flip both lining and crinoline to the other side after stitching. Hope that helps🙂

      I'd use the softer crinoline on a tulle fabric, and the width would be determined by the width of my project peice. Like if you are adding it to a thin strip of fabric, then go for thinner width of crinoline.

      @@isiakperebetty4442Thanks for the feedback:) You can follow the same steps as in the video, but place the lining on your main fabric first, followed by the crinoline, then flip both lining and crinoline to the other side after stitching.
      Since you will be dealing with curvy edges in a flounce, you need to more careful. Also remember not to stretch the crinoline. Hope that helps!

      It should be on the wrong side after you are done. So I placed it on the right side stitch and then flip it to the wrong side.
