Thanks for the upload - these have been great. I used the DE setup you are playing on for years, but I am gravitating toward the same setup in his SYM series. You may want to check that out.

I just wanted to say even though I am a French Horn player and have been tuned to only hear the difference between the mouthpieces for my instrument I could tell that the GB Futuro was more loud and bright compared to the Christian Lindberg 4CL's more technical and short-noted sound. Your playing is very good and I think you could go far with your talent. Keep it up.
    Best Wishes, Liam

Remember that you're a musician first, and french horn player second! Trust your ears and don't worry about what you feel you've been tuned for. Just learn the details about why as you go

Impressive how you can change between such different rim shapes so quickly.
Thoughts: 4CL doesn't hide anything! Megatone seemed like it had slower starts to the notes. Sasha Romero was my favorite overall, sounded like classic orchestral trombone.

thanks for the thoughts! part of my thinking behind playing is that the buzz stays the same, even if the resonant chamber (ie the mouthpiece or the horn) changes you still have control over the input

Personally liked the GB Futuro the most in this line-up.

i've found that one records really well on cell phones, but that the slight amount of gain control in the mic settings gives a little bit of a false impression w/r/t the length and consistency of tone. very very fun piece for soft lyrical playing though! i would use it for chamber ballads if that were a typical thing

Hello William!!! You sound incredible on all of the mouthpieces that I’ve heard you play on!! Just out of curiosity, do you own a Monette mouthpiece? If you do own a Monette, what do you think of them?
    Best,
    John

Hi! First off - thanks! Secondly, I haven't had a chance to get a Monette mouthpiece - I usually buy my pieces used and cheap Monette's basically never show up. One day though, hopefully - it'd be fun to compare
