    That was a lovely chinwag, thank you Pene. What a worrying episode when you and Pete managed to lose each other - thank goodness there was a happy ending! I’m looking forward to seeing the completed sloth with his gorgeous dressing gown - I do like the colours that you’ve chosen for his pyjamas. Your film at the end showed what a wonderful week you’ve had with family and friends - thank you for sharing it with us. Here’s to the next 52 episodes!! xx

      Thanks Helen, the wool for the dressing gown is super. Pete wants a dressing gown in it now! I knew he'd fall for the animals in the end! Yes it was a horrible afternoon when we lost each other but it made us laugh recalling it. Thanks for watching. See you soon. x

    I held my breath because I thought you were going to announce you were stopping Penelope's Chinwag. You have become a very dear presence in my week. I was worrying how your mum fared in the extreme heat. I hope England cools off this coming week and you get rain. Your stories are always compelling, but You and Pete loosing each other is at the top. Thanks for the end film. Love the look on Tommy's face when looking at the these animals that are so still.

      Ah thanks Sandra, what a lovely thing to say ' a dear presence in your week'. Mum was fine. She visited the day my friends arrived and enjoyed herself and then we popped in to see her every day. She is such a sensible woman and drinks enough, rests enough and looks after herself. I'll pass your message on to her. Tommy's face is compelling isn't it. I can't give them to him at the moment as they go straight into a gummy dribbling mouth! See you next time. xx

    How time flies! Congratulations on your milestone Penny. You have brightened my year no end and given my husband and I much to discuss. Your experience of being lost to each other must have been horrible. I lost my family on a UK holiday to Scotland’s Falkirk Wheel where much the same thing happened without the police cars. I was very shaken and relieved when reunited again. Being an Australian you have my empathy about the heat and poor old garden dryness. I have only seen that astonishing Lizard in a zoo. Thank you so much for all the effort you put in for our benefit.X

      Well thank you Jennifer. I'd like to be a fly on the wall during your discussions! I'm glad we're not the only ones to lose each other! Yes, I have more empathy for you after experiencing the heat we had for a couple of days. We're being told we need to get used to it! Ah, in a zoo, great to see and I found it interesting as to how he drinks. Thanks for your lovely comment. x

    I am so glad you decided to carry on. How is it that I have trouble keeping characters in a novel straight, but know the names of all your growing family of heirloom yarn animals. Maisey's daisies are such a sweet addition. You are a natural story teller. I laughed so hard at your lost story, then had to play it again for my Al. It was so funny to us both, as we could so easily see this happening to us. 🙂

    Glad you managed to keep cool in the boiling weather and enjoyed time with friends.

    Hello penny, just watched episode 52, the story about crossing the road, was so funny, you know, sometimes we just ASSUME the other person knows what you are going to do, and that is what happens, also the wax clearing helps, my husband and i have to say everything twice if we are not standing next to each other, i tell him he’s deaf and he says the same thing to me.another lovely video, and your little grandson is so lovely, he has a good nature I’m thinking, he just observes everything so closely.a joy to be around to be sure.kind regards pamela hall

Awww bless Tommy, you can see he was wondering why the toys weren't talking to him, lol. Happy anniversary! I hope you will be able to continue these vlogs for many years to come. I enjoy them very much.
    The sloth is a hoot with his fluffy robe. I love it. Look forward to seeing your progress. Tommy was really enthralled with your animal friends. It's fun to see a baby recognizing objects with faces. Not just a ball of wool, but a critter with a face.
    I admire your story telling skills. But how scary to lose each other. Your moral: get your ears cleaned. Your daughter's moral: never leave home without your phones!
    I enjoyed seeing all the photos and video at the end. For some reason, the clip of Pete in the garden from your upper window was particularly touching. It made me think of my parents and that I don't have any video of them. I need to rectify that next time I go for a visit.
    Thanks for sharing. There are so many fascinating facts out there. What a cool lizard.
    See you next time. Hope you get some rain.

No rain yet or forecast but I'm sure when we get it it will be too much!! See you next time.

We'll never get sick of you. That story about losing each other on that walk, just goes to show how easy something can go wrong when you least expect it. You both would have been so worried, but thankfully it ended well. I'm going to have my ears cleared this week after hearing that, or I might end up in the police station .... haha. I’ve enjoyed every one! I lost my husband once in a large warehouse store. After much searching, an idea came to me. The ceiling had large circular lights, evenly spaced. Hi Penny, A Granny from Maine. I’ve made the body for Tilly. I put pipe cleaners in her ears and that is working pretty well but I’m having trouble with her head staying upright . Will the neckline of her dress help?

    • @penelopeschinwag
      @penelopeschinwag  2 роки тому

      Hi, If you didn't want to use pipe cleaners you could do as I did. I cut a long piece of wool and knotted it in the top of one ears, threaded it thru, under the top of her head and then up thru the middle of the next ear and knot at the top. The ears have to stand upright as the wool is only so long if you get my drift. They do still droop but not too far down. As for the head don't be afraid of it. Sew it pretty well round and round onto her body until it is firm. She doesn't have a neck if you get that drift. Let me know how it goes.
