@@rsokors that’s amazing! I’m between klamath and PDX, and been venturing some of the lakes to fish and came across your channel. I hear usually Mackinaw sit deep, so super cool to hear them up shallower! Love all the footage you get
@@allenchea2626 Thanks for the kind words! I heard that the Mackinaw (Lake trout) follow the Kokanee as the cold water is flowing from the creek. They might also be spawning. One of the ones in the video is really thin which makes me think it might have laid eggs. Just a hunch. Mackinaw like pretty cold temperatures of water so this only happens near winter from what I have heard. I talked to one of the past owners of the East Odell Lake Lodge and he said they used to go out on the docks in winter and watch the huge Mackinaw swim in really shallow waters.
