Shelly's on Fri night,used walk straight in (no que for us 3).Doormenan already got the nod. Pop one,wait 10 mins and we were off round Shelly's as if it was ours! Everyone knew us,always come to us and we f*****g loved it. Any outsiders who were spotted "sorting people" would get taken upstairs by the doormen,stripped,taxed and barred and they never came in again. I was a kid looking up to all this thinking "yea,I'm one of the lads". Long bobbed hair. We had every thing even the music, it was fantastic. That went on for 2years until one night,some one who'd been caught distributing came back after been taken upstairs and shot a sawnoff at the doormen taken off one of his kneecaps and that was it.The police ran an operation and got it shut down. Brought a couple of us back down to earth but the police couldn't stop the music and the love. We just went to Entropy instead, carried on doing what we were doing and Raving all night long. Looking back everything was great except the violence. The music will always sound as good as it did " backintheday"!!😀But um now nearly 46 and wouldn't change it for the world.
