Anyway to my ears the stab on 'Good Life' is similar but different. The chord progression is different too, but the rhythm is similar. I never really thought of this riff and the Good Life riff as similar, but I'm obviously in the minority. Funny (and sometimes great) how we can perceive things so differently!

OMG! I've been looking for this specific song for over 20 years!. For the longest time I knew that "SoundFactory - Understand This Groove" got their beat from another song and a last I finally found it. P.S. I say 20 years because all of the 90's i believed Soundfactory was the track. Then again the 90's was a little fuzzy decade my mind and memories are all a little hazy but i felt good.

There's an amazing concert of Streets of Rage music on UA-cam somewhere. Basically there was a guy in Japan that loved rave music and borrowed from a bunch of his favourite tunes to make that soundtrack. The sound of my childhood.

I always thought the stab was originally from 'The Vamp' by Outlander which was a huge Techno tune that got played on a lot of Hardcore dancefloors BITD (well it was all just 'rave' back then). With the 'Mentasm' this must rank as one of the most famous, quintessential electronic music sounds of all time. Wicked track too! Anyone know if it was a preset, and if so from what synth?
Car cox used it well in 91 on let’ the bass kick also For those with a harder version recollection. The original being sampled by the king of hardcore is all the compliments this track needs. Banger as they say 🎉❤
